GCSE's are so incredibly serious for me, because if I dont get enough to go to a decent university and all that, I might not be allowed to emigrate. which sucks. so i really am going to try my hardest in lessons now.

I hate NASCAR.

I really do.
I really hate living by a speedway and dragstrip. There was a race here this past weekend. CRAZY.

NASCAR races= Rednecks + beer

I was talking to my World History teacher about it, and I asked him if he was going to the NASCAR races (this was on last Friday) and he said "No, but I wish I was!" and I was like "why? You'd have to sit next to the rednecks!" and he was like "THAT'S WHERE I WOULD WANNA SIT! Next to the rednecks havin' a good time! THAT'S WHERE THE PARTY IS!"

ohgoshno.
I've been to plenty of races before (unfortunatly) it's torture. It really is. left, left, left, left. Whoa, they just turned left BIG SURPRISE.

/end rant on NASCAR

GCSE (in Britain)
abbreviation for General Certificate of Secondary Education: a public examination in specified subjects for 16-year-old schoolchildren.

I go to a grammar school, so we take 'em early.

if you wanna get into university, you need minimum 5 GCSE's and you need A's in a lot of subjects.

IM FREAKIN OUT!
I have to do French, history, english lit; english lang; RS shortcourse, pe, food tech, media, business studies, maths and triple science (physics, chemistry and biology)

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Don't forget you need A Levels to get into University!

I once read that a high school diploma is equal to 5 GCSEs in the USA. But then the advanced lessons (AP, I think?) equal to an A Level, I believe. It's something like that.

and if you know, how do you get up from an all time low, i'm in pieces, it seems like pieces.

OMGPARKINGPATAWEYO!

Ohhhhh.
In 3rd-8th grade, you take EOG's (end of grade tests)
3rd grade- reading and math
4th grade- reading, math, and writing
5th grade- reading, math, and science
6th grade- reading and math
7th grade- reading, math, writing (split into science and social studies)
8th grade- reading, math, and science (AND on top of that since I'm a year ahead on math, I had to take the Algebra EOC!)

9th grade- EOC (end of course test) and midterms
10th grade- EOC and midterms
11th grade- EOC, PSAT (practice scholastic aptitute test), SAT (scholastic aptiture test) [SAT's are the biggest test of your life. If you don't do well on that, no way you're getting into college] and midterms (11th grade is supposed to be your hardest year of high school)
12th grade- EOC's and midterms (and SAT if you didn't take it in 11th grade)

annnnnd that's it (:
Well, that's how it's done in NC. Other states call their EOG's different things. Just depending on the state.
