Praying won't do it
Hating won't do it
Drinking won't do it
Fighting won't knock you out
Of my head

Hiding won't hide it
Smiling won't hide it
Like I ain't tried it
Everyone's tried it now
And failed somehow

So when you gonna let me
When you gonna let me out - Out

And if you know
How do you get up from an all time low
I'm in pieces
Seems like peace is
The only thing I'll never know
How do you get up
Get up

‘*** driving won't do it
Flying won't do it
Denying won't do it
Crying won't drown it out
What you said

When I'm standing on the yellow line
Waiting at the station
Or I'm late for work
A vital presentation
If you call me now girl
Without reservation
I would try to break through

But if you know
How do you get up from an all time low
I'm in pieces
It seems like peace is
The only thing I never know
How do you get up from an all time low
I can't even find a place to start
How do I choose between my head and heart
Till it ceases I never know
How do you get up from an all time low

A low, (repeat)
Can you hear me
A low (repeat)
Can't you hear me

And if you know…
Repeat chorus

North America

By 2020, 24 years will have passed since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, making it the continent with the longest waiting time since last hosting the Games (except for Africa, which has never hosted).[60]

* Mexico
Guadalajara is hosting the 2011 Pan American Games while Monterrey has expressed interest in a sports festival for several years. The Mexican Olympic Committee (MOC) will announce the Mexican candidate city in 2012. Mexico City hosted the 1968 Summer Olympics, more than 50 years prior to these anticipated games.

* Guadalajara
A federal organization, Guadalajara 2020, in conjunction with the Jalisco state government, supports a strategic project to mull a bid for 2020.[61] The plans includes the construction of several sports venues and ambitious urban development projects such as the JVC Center, Omnilife Stadium, etc. Started in 1995, Guadalajara 2020 counts its successful bid for the 2011 Pan American Games as part of the strategy to gain experience in international sport events and develop world class sport infrastructure. Guadalajara was chosen by the MOC as the applicant city for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.

* Monterrey
Monterrey mulled a bid for the 2016 Games, but the Mexican Olympic Committee (MOC) did not support the bid. Felipe "El Tibio" Muñoz, President of the MOC, announced that some cities in Mexico like Monterrey will contend to gain support to bid for the 2020 games. In August 2008, Nuevo Leon's governor gave his support for a possible bid, resuming the discussion of whether or not to bid. In February 2009, plans were announced to build the Estadio Internacional Monterrey, a 85,000 capacity stadium.

* Toronto, Canada
The Canadian Olympic Committee began working on a potential bid for the 2020 or 2024 games for Toronto as of July 10, 2007. This would be Toronto's third bid for the Summer Olympics, after unsuccessful bids for the 1996 and 2008 games. Toronto has not hosted an international sporting event since the city hosted the 1976 Summer Paralympics. With the success of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and Toronto's ongoing preparations to host the 2015 Pan American Games, both factors are said to strengthen their 2020 Olympic bid. Recently, there have been local and national campaigns started to increase support for a Toronto 2020 bid as well.

It's a new start (it's a new start)
All I really know is there's something your heart

Are you from another world
I never seen someone who looks like you
Beautiful stranger how do you do?
Tell me is there something I can do for you
Your energy when you touch me
Lifted me off the ground
Your words to me are like music

I don't know (don't know)
Who you are (who you are)
All I really know is there's something your heart
That makes me feel (makes me feel)
It's a new start (it's a new start)
All I really know is there's something your heart

Something, something, something (3x)
Oh theres something, theres something I can see it there

Something, something, something
Something in your heart

I don't know (I don't know)
Who you are (who you are)
All I really know is, there's something your heart

Something in your heart.

Oceania

* Brisbane, Australia
Brisbane has been pre-selected by the Australian Olympic Committee as the next most likely Australian bid city, possibly within 15 to 20 years, which has been further endorsed by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh and Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman. The city previously bid for the 1992 Olympics, coming 3rd to Barcelona and Paris. This bid also coincides with a bid for Brisbane to host the 2020 World Expo.

Cancelled Bids

* Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Expecting to be considered an advanced country by the year 2020, as expressed in Wawasan 2020, there was a slight expectation from the public for the capital Kuala Lumpur to host the Summer Olympics. However, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak said Malaysia was not ready as holding the Olympic Games was a "tall order for the country" until they could become more of a sports powerhouse.

* Nagasaki-Hiroshima, Japan
Nagasaki and Hiroshima announced a joint bid for the Olympics in a campaign for world peace and nuclear disarmament. The JOC refused, knowing that the joint bid would face challenge from the IOC ideal of a compact Olympics.

* Prague, Czech Republic
Prague bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics, but failed to reach the candidature phase, coming second to last in the evaluation of applicant cities. Bid organizers had acknowledged that it was a preparatory bid, in order to gain experience, and indeed expressed the city's intention to bid for the 2020 games. In June 2009, Prague's bid was canceled due to low political support.

* Multiple cities from the United States
Several cities had shown interest for bidding including Dallas, Texas, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

However, during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, United States Olympic Committee chief executive Scott Blackmun said that the US has no plans to bid at this time, remarking "The (IOC) sent us a message, loud and clear, that they don't want the Games to be in the United States" and that potential cities in the United States cannot afford Olympic bids just to be spurned like New York and Chicago were in the 2012 and 2016 races respectively."

The 7 July 2005 London bombings (often referred to as 7/7) were a series of coordinated suicide attacks, upon London's public transport system during the morning rush hour. On that morning, four al-Qaeda associated militants detonated four bombs, three on London Underground trains in quick succession, a fourth bomb exploding an hour later on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square. Fifty-two civilians were killed in the attacks and around 700 were injured.

Potential Bids for the 2022 Winter Olympics

Asia

* People's Republic of China
o Harbin

Li Zhanshu, governor of Heilongjiang, indicated interest for the 2018 Games. However, China did not bid for the Games, leaving an opening for the 2022 edition instead. Harbin bid for the 2010 Winter Olympics, but did not make the short list.

All four bombers also died in the explosions, which were caused by homemade, organic peroxide-based devices, that were packed into rucksacks. The bombers were motivated by the teachings of Osama bin Laden, opposition to British support of Saudi Arabia, and anger of Britain's involvement in the Iraq War.

I like the Royal Family, but I also like the full English breakfast... But which is better? Well, there's only one way to find out... FIGHT!!!

In October 2010, an independent Coroner's Inquest into the bombings began. The Right Honourable Lady Justice Hallett D.B.E. has been appointed to hear the Inquest which will report in 2011.

08:50 — Three bombs on the London Underground exploded within fifty seconds of each other:

* The first bomb exploded on an eastbound Circle Line sub-surface Underground train, number 204, travelling between Liverpool Street and Aldgate. The train had left King's Cross St. Pancras about eight minutes earlier. At the time of the explosion, the third carriage of the train was approximately 100 yards (90 m) down the tunnel from Liverpool Street. The parallel track of the Hammersmith and City Line from Liverpool Street to Aldgate East was also damaged.

Europe

* Germany
* Munich
Munich is currently bidding for the 2018 games but it has been indicated that they will consider bidding for the 2022 games if the bid for the 2018 games fails.

* Finland
* Tahko, Kuopio and Helsinki
Jouko Purontakanen, the Secretary General of the Finland Olympic Committee, said Finland could host the games alone in Tahko, Kuopio, and Helsinki if the project for artificial heightening of the Tahko hill progresses. Stefan Wallin, Finland's Minister for Culture and Sports, has also suggested that Finland should bid for the 2022 games with other Nordic countries.

* France
* Toulouse
In case the bid of Annecy for the 2018 Winter Olympics fails, the mayor of Montauban, Brigitte Barèges, is advocating the candidacy of Toulouse. This would be a joint bid with Andorra and Spain. Toulouse had previously lobbied the French NOC with a bid for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.

* Norway
Gerhard Heiberg, IOC member from Norway, has announced that the IOC would welcome a bid from Norway to host the Winter Olympic Games. Lillehammer, host of the 1994 Winter Olympics, is considered as host city as well as the area Stavanger-Bergen-Voss.

* Poland
* Zakopane
During a sportground opening ceremony, Polish President Lech Kaczyński announced on March 6, 2010 that he would like his country to be a candidate for 2022 Winter Olympic Games. In accordance with his words, the country could organize Olympic Games together with Slovakia or both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Olympics would be most likely held in the winter sport resort Zakopane, that has already hosted many international winter sport events in the recent past such as winter Universiades, biathlon World Championship several Ski Jumping World Cups and Nordic combined and Nordic and Alpine European and world Cups. However its 2006 Winter Olympics bid as well as its 2013 and 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships bids were unsuccessful.

* Romania
* Prahova Valley
Romanian former Prime Minister Călin Popescu Tăriceanu announced on June 14, 2007 that the country is considering a bid for the Games to be held in that area.

* Spain
* Barcelona
The mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, announced on January 13, 2010 that the city aspires to organize the 2022 Winter Olympics. The opening, closing and medal ceremonies and indoor sports would be held in Barcelona, while outdoor sports would be held in ski resorts in the Pyrenees. Barcelona plans to share the games with La Molina (155 km from Barcelona). Barcelona hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics.
Barcelona City council bid information sheet: a two cluster system for Barcelona 2022

* Zaragoza
The mayor of Zaragoza, Juan Alberto Belloch, together with representatives of the cities of Huesca and Jaca and the regional government of Aragon, announced their intention to bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Initially, Zaragoza was expected to bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics, but it was reasoned that, due to the unofficial continental rotation policy, it would be unlikely for Europe to be awarded back-to-back games.

Zaragoza plans to integrate the mountain resorts of Formigal (161 km from Zaragoza) and Candanchu (168 km from Zaragoza) into the bid. Zaragoza played a significant role in Jaca's failed bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics, as Zaragoza, 142 km south of Jaca, was expected to host most of the ice events and the opening and closing ceremonies, in contradiction to the Olympic Charter. In a hypothetical Zaragoza bid, snow events would still take place around Jaca and other sites in the Aragonese Pyrenees, connected to the city by a highway and the Spanish service of high-speed trains.

* Switzerland
Geneva officially supports the candidacy of neighbouring French city Annecy for the 2018 Winter Olympics and moved its own bid to the 2022 games. Meanwhile, Zurich, Sion, and Berne have also expressed interest in the bid. German sports journalist Jens Weinreich announced in an interview with Deutschlandfunk on August 18, 2010 that Sankt Moritz is interested in bidding for the 2022 games.

* Ukraine
* Carpathian Mountains
On May 27, 2010, President Viktor Yanukovych stated during a visit to Lviv that Ukraine "will start working on the official nomination of our country as the holder of the Winter Olympic Games in Carpathians". Ukraine's only previous experience in hosting Olympic events was during the 1980 Summer Olympics hosted by Moscow, when, as part of the Soviet Union, several association football matches were held in Kiev.

* The second bomb exploded on the second carriage of a westbound Circle Line sub-surface Underground train, number 216. The train had just left platform 4 at Edgware Road and was heading for Paddington. The train had left King's Cross St. Pancras about eight minutes earlier. There were several other trains nearby at the time of the explosion. An eastbound Circle Line train (arriving at platform 3 at Edgware Road from Paddington) was passing next to the train and was damaged, along with a wall that later collapsed. There were two other trains at Edgware Road: an unidentified train on platform 2, and a southbound Hammersmith & City line train that had just arrived at platform 1.

* The third bomb exploded on a southbound Piccadilly line deep-level Underground train, number 311, travelling between King's Cross St. Pancras and Russell Square. The bomb exploded about one minute after the train left King's Cross, by which time it had travelled about 500 yards (450 m). The explosion took place at the rear of the first carriage of the train (car no 166), causing severe damage to the rear of that carriage, as well as the front of the second one. The surrounding tunnel also sustained damage.

North America

* Canada
* Quebec City
The mayor of Quebec City Régis Labeaume and the premier of Quebec Jean Charest visited Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics to tell that the city is preparing a serious bid for the 2022 Winter Games. Marcel Aubut, former owner of Quebec Nordiques and now president of the Canadian Olympic Committee, is very interested in getting Quebec City a major sporting event after losing the 2002 IOC bid to Salt Lake City and the 2010 COC bid to Vancouver, which hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics.

As of 2010, the main obstacle for any credible bid is to find a ski trail with at least 800 meters vertical drop, which is a minimum requirement for men's downhill. The trail with highest drop in the region is at Le Massif with 677 meters. In 2010, the mayor of Lake Placid, Craig Randall, asked Quebec City to consider Whiteface Mountain for the alpine ski events alone. Whiteface Mountain is actually the only ski resort to offer trails with vertical drop over 800 meters east of the Rocky Mountains (in both Canada and USA). Mayor Randall also told the newspaper Le Soleil that Lake Placid is not planning any future bid for Winter Olympics.

* United States
The USOC has clearly stated they will not bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics, remarking "The (IOC) sent us a message, loud and clear, that they don't want the Games to be in the United States". They hope that forgoing a bid for the 2020 Games would give them a greater chance of hosting the Winter Olympics in 2022.

* Bozeman, Montana
Bozeman and its neighboring Big Sky Ski Resort are presently developing a bid for the 2022 Winter Games. They have been in contact with the USOC and have started building an Executive Board that includes Byron Wilson, a Montana native and Vancouver 2010 Olympic medalist.

* Denver
Denver was preparing a 2018 bid, but the USOC decided instead to focus its efforts on Chicago's 2016 Summer Olympics bid. "In the short term, it's discouraging. But our mission has been long term," said Robert Cohen, chairman of the Metro Denver Sports Commission board of directors. "This is like running a marathon. Every mile doesn't go the way you planned it. But I think we're doing all we need to do. I'm excited by what we've done. I'm more encouraged than discouraged." Denver won, but declined to host the 1976 Winter Olympics.

* Reno & Lake Tahoe
Officials from Reno & Tahoe have met to discuss the possibility of a joint bid between those two areas to have the 2022 Winter Games. "Our coalition's goal is to continue its concerted efforts to establish and enhance these tourism and recreational offerings, positioning our area to be even more competitive for the next possible Olympic opportunity -- hosting the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.", said Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, chairman of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition Board of Directors. The region hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics at the Squaw Valley Ski Resort.

* Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City may consider bidding on the 2022 Winter Games. The city hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.

It was originally thought that there had been six, rather than three, explosions on the Underground. The bus bombing brought the reported total to seven; however, this error was corrected later that day. This was because the blasts occurred on trains that were between stations, causing the wounded to emerge from both stations, giving the impression that there was an incident at each station. Police also revised the timings of the tube blasts: initial reports had indicated that they occurred over a period of almost half an hour. This was due to initial confusion at London Underground, where the explosions were initially thought to be due to a power surge. One initial report, in the minutes after the explosions, involved a person under a train, while another concerned a derailment (both of which did actually occur, but only as a result of the explosions). A Code Amber Alert was declared at 09:19, and London Underground began to shut down the network, bringing trains into stations and suspending all services. The effects of the bombs are thought to have varied due to the differing characteristics of the tunnels.

Oceania

* New Zealand
* Dunedin/Queenstown
According to 2007 reports, the New Zealand Olympic Committee is pushing for a bid for a Winter Olympic Games. Although no city has yet applied to the NZOC, suggestions include Queenstown and Dunedin, or a bid covering the whole of New Zealand, the country's South Island or the Otago region. No information has been given as for which games New Zealand will formally bid.
