The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

The pool and playground area are beautiful! Your tr has prompted me to seriously consider it for a future stay.

I'm pretty excited about the new Indiana Jones movie.

And there's nothing better than a bag of chocolate, especially M&M's

It really was beautiful -- worth staying there at least once!

Relaxing by the pool? Isn't this the 2nd time you've done this? How great is that?

Women and chocolate......don't come in between those 2.

And there is more pool relaxing to come!

Especially if said chocolate has Harrison Ford on it! :thumbsup2

Eating chocolate with Harrison Ford!!

Pure bliss!

All caught up and loving it! Who knew that there was the delightful suprise of a Trip Report within a Pre Trip report! You are one lucky gal getting a last minute trip! What I wouldn't give for a last minute trip! Having to fly makes it hard though so I don't see one in my future.

Happy to hear you like CSR too! We just booked it for our grown ups only trip in January. We have never been but it really does look beee-u-tiful!

I can't wait to hear about your P&PP night! We absolutely loved it! And meeting Captain Jack, be still my heart! :lovestruc

Allyson :)

Thank you! :goodvibes I am glad you are enjoying it!

I cannot wait for Indy. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

great update also. :lmao:

sorry Indy took up my whole mind. :rotfl2:

I think I want to go to the midnight showing -- it is the last day of school so I think I can be tired that day! :rolleyes1

I know :rotfl2:

I think I just need to make it a point to try each resort. It's the perfect excuse.

We want to try every resort too -- I figure then we can go lots to achieve that goal!

You're back!! I was gone for a few days and so I just got caught up reading your TR thus far. The kids are darling!!

I love the chocolate with Harrison Ford...yummy!

I'll be back tomorrow to read more!!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Can you believe I've never seen the Indiana Jones movies? the closest I've been is the stunt show at DHS while in a benadryl incuded coma. But if he's good enouch to be associated with m&m's I'll have to watch them!

Oh, you need to watch the movies! They're great! Lots of witty lines and adventure! :lovestruc

I figure staying at every resort will guarantee WDW visits every year. And then there's Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney....

And the original Disneyland!!! Chelsea's birthday is July 17th which is also the day that Disneyland opened -- how cool would it be for her to spend her birthday there??? One day...:rolleyes1

I think that you have to do it. Southern California is so beautiful. There's osmething so magical and intimate about Disneyland. And the San Diego Zoo is amazing. Does your son like Legos? There's a lego theme park around there too.

My birthday is October 1st, the same day Disneyworld opened. I think you just gave me some ammunition to use when I tell DH why I *NEED* to go to Disney for my birthday some year! Thank you!:cool1:

Allyson

PS My son's birthday is July 17th too! Boy I am going to have reason to book trips left and right! LOL!

Boy, are we on the same page? We had an Indiana Jones film festival on Saturday!!
Can't wait to find some of those M&Ms!! I made myself sick when they had Pirates ones.
Great update! Almost time for the party!!:cool1:

Let me start by saying that I'm completely ashamed to admit I was SIX pages behind. Slap my hand.

As we drive onto Disney property, my favorite sign in the whole world welcomes us to Walt Disney World. Wild cheering from all erupts. I tear up and get mascara in my eye. It burns! It burns!

It's like the sitcom that is my life.

As I checked in, I let the CM know we would like a Cabanas room. I wasn’t too hopeful though – the resort was virtually sold out. Well, we lucked out on our CM – he spent about ten minutes scrolling through the computer looking for a room and even called another CM to help. He finally found a room in 9B on the first floor (which is the Cabanas building closest to El Centro and just over the bridge from the Dig Site). I was super excited at that point!

What a great way to start the trip!

As soon as we unpacked and changed, we explored the resort. Chelsea and Connor loved the hammocks.

Hammocks are my kryptonite. I love them but they totally put me down for the count.

What? Was someone photoshopping pictures of the Le Cellier menu in order to send crazed Disney addicts into a Piglet-state of hand wringing and scurrying for their bottles of Ativan? Is it all a master plot to free up Le Cellier reservations?

Hands down one of the funniest things I've read!

He also had to say, "You love these Disney crises! You thrive on them! To the DIS boards!" Then, he did his arms like a superhero flying. I had to laugh!

Ok. I lied. THIS might be one of the funniest things I've read. Great visual.

Tonga Toast!

I'm weepy with anticipation for this.

I ask you: is there anything better than a bag of chocolate with Harrison Ford's picture on it???

A bag of chocolate with Harrison Ford IN it? I'm just sayin'.

Yay for what sounds like a great trip. I'm all caught up, promise to stay on track and can't wait for more!

:flower3:

Alright, I haven't even hit the first full chapter, but you've got me! I'm joining up, and can't wait to wade through it all! :goodvibes

I need to work on Charles about it -- I need to think how best to bribe him. :lmao:

Connor loves Legos! A Lego theme park would be right up his alley!

Hmmmm...sounds like another trip to plan! :thumbsup2

Both of your birthdays are EXCELLENT reasons to plan trips!!!

A film festival? I might have to do that! What a great idea!

I made myself sick on Pirate M&Ms and the Star Wars dark chocolate ones -- I am the reason food is marketed with movies! :lmao:

Not your fault -- I was a teeny-tiny bit verbose my last days of spring break.:goodvibes

It's like the sitcom that is my life.

Mine too!

What a great way to start the trip!

And totally unexpected because normally my last-minute requests don't pan out.

Hammocks are my kryptonite. I love them but they totally put me down for the count.

:lmao: I kept waiting for Chelsea to fall asleep but it never happened.

Hands down one of the funniest things I've read!

:flower3: I love when my wry, sarcastic humor is appreciated!

I'm weepy with anticipation for this.

Be very weepy -- it is better than it looks (if that's possible).

A bag of chocolate with Harrison Ford IN it? I'm just sayin'.

Sigh...there's a marketing campaign that would make millions off of me. I have had a crush on that man since I was six years old and saw The Empire Strikes Back. "I'm a nice guy." Sigh. When I revealed that secret to Chelsea, she exclaimed, "But he's sooo old!" Then she went back to watching Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. I restrained myself from ripping the sweet illusion of her first crush from her by telling her that ol' JD is older than her Daddy (partly because I was busy watching him swagger around, too). :lmao:

I think I want to go to the midnight showing -- it is the last day of school so I think I can be tired that day!

not me i will go the day it opens.

I like the new pic in your signature! :thumbsup2

I will be handing out awards on May 23rd -- hence, my hare-brained idea to go at midnight (just like I was at Barnes and Noble at midnight to get the last Harry Potter -- yes, I am a geek like that :lmao: ). I wonder if my family would last through it???

Thank you.
I can see Harry, but sitting through a 2 1/2 hr movie is different.

Stopping by to see how your tr within a ptr is going. And how your plans are going.

I have some stuff for you to put in the mail this week :)

Just took a look at your food porn from Kona. It really makes my bagel with cream cheese seem less than appetizing :lmao:

Morning! How is your knee feeling?

I am planning on updating with the start of P&PP tonight. :)

Hurray for stuff! You're the best! :goodvibes I have your book to take to the post office this week, too!

I would love some Kona coffee and Tonga toast this morning -- it would be way better than my granola bar and regular coffee! :rotfl:
