The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

The tonga toast looks really good! How can you go wrong with bread, grease & sugar?:)

Oh, yum! That looks delish! And the kids look so cute and excited to be there :)

You're getting these installments out faster than I can post, good for you!

Alright I know everyone gets excited about the Tonga toast, but honestly it's the coffee that I wish I'd known about before our trip!

Ugghhh, I so don't even want to go on this road trip now that I see you're posting your TR! I'll be so behind!

Anyway......

*:yay: for Charles wanting to get an early move on

*:yay: for getting to room you wanted at CSR

*:yay: for getting the cute pic of the kids in the hammock

*:yay: for having an incredibly cute son who wears incredibly cute glasses (There's just something about little kids when they wear glasses----It makes them look so smart and serious :rotfl: )

Thank you for the Kona breakfast pics. Mmmmmm....Tonga Toast. Did you ever really say if you liked it? (Now I sound like the teacher that I am....I need you to describe the toast using 5 adjectives...)

Now I'm beginning to think the CMs get a cut of the Le Cellier reservations. Otherwise, why else would they all be so concerned about who made and kept them? Don't they have people calling all the time who want to change ADRs? That's too funny that you mentioned my experience!

Since I didn't know about any Le Cellier changes, (and since I'm leaving in all of about 3 min. :scared1: ) would you post either here or on my PTR (so I don't forget to look for it) exactly what are the changes? Why would they change anything? Everyone loves their menu the way it is? :confused3

Well, I'm off....

great update and pics.

Now I think I must re-think my breakfast ressies.

the tonga toast and the big kahuna breakfast looked really good.

I thought they only served Nescacrap at WDW....I guess I'm gonna have to search a little harder for my coffee next time....

I know -- that Nescrap is the worst :headache: ! So far my favorite places for coffee have been Boma and Kona Cafe!

And bananas! Yum!!!

Alright I know everyone gets excited about the Tonga toast, but honestly it's the coffee that I wish I'd known about before our trip!

It was so smooth and delicious! I almost let Charles splurge on the bag to take home. I am going to have to go on a hunt for Kona coffee now!

They were very excited! :goodvibes

Don't worry, my updates will slow waaaayyyyy down once I go back to work tomorrow :(.

It'll slow down this week...

*:yay: for having an incredibly cute son who wears incredibly cute glasses (There's just something about little kids when they wear glasses----It makes them look so smart and serious :rotfl: )

Thanks! :goodvibes He got them last September, and we have had to have those glasses fixed twice now! Thank goodness I invested in a second back-up pair! I think he is pretty cute in them, too. :)

I LOVED it! It was sweet, gooey, sugary, crisp on the outside, and delicious!

I said the same thing to Charles about the CMs getting a cut!

I kept thinking about your experience when I called.

Something about a new chef! I will post the link over on your thread.

Well, I'm off....

Have fun!

great update and pics.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Now I think I must re-think my breakfast ressies.

the tonga toast and the big kahuna breakfast looked really good.

I think Kona Cafe is the best breakfast we have had on WDW property. In the past we have eaten at Norway, Crystal Palace, O'Hana's, and 1900 Park Faire. I am trying to decide if I want to make a breakfast ressie there for our June trip and just pay OOP for it.

Looks like you had a good time at "my place"! :rotfl:

That tonga toast looks so good. I regret not getting any when we were there.

Chuck gave your Charles a BIG :thumbsup2 on the Big Kahuna!! Time to pull out the "eatin' pants"!

Looking foward to more!!

Well my Kona Cafe breakfast plans are now set in stone. And thanks for the heads up about driving to the Poly...I didn't even think about going thur the toll both.

I'm always late to the trippies, so many trippies, so little time. I love your writing style so I'm signing on! And your kids are adorable!

And your Disney Math, I like your thinking!:thumbsup2 It is funny how you can justify just about anything when it comes to a Disney trip. I do the same thing! "Well I didn't buy this so that means I can buy Pirate and Princess Tickets and it really isn't costing me anything!" DH will be like "Really????" Silly man!

I'm only at your first ADR post, got to get reading!

Allyson

Kona Cafe is for sure on my "next time" list!

You won't regret it! :thumbsup2

We had a terrific time! I love the atmosphere at the Poly.

You'll just have to plan to go next time! :goodvibes

Charles ate every bite, too!!! He wished he had "eatin' pants" on afterwards! :rotfl2:

Just stay in the far right lane and you will be fine.

:welcome: and thank you!

I have become really good with justifying stuff on Disney trips!

I am planning on heading over to your TR tonight! :thumbsup2

After riding the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, picking up our tickets for the night (which let me just say standing that close to the castle and not going in is a cruel tease), and riding the monorail back to the Polynesian, we headed back to the hotel.

It was 12:30 and we had about three hours to kill before heading back for the Pirate and Princess Party.

Some of us had eaten too much and needed a nap. We won't say who! :rolleyes1 Some of us changed and headed to the pool.

Chelsea and Connor swam while I relaxed poolside yet again.

What strange sacrifices were performed in this temple to the great Mouse???

As you may have guessed I have another obsession: Indiana Jones. Can you guess how excited I am for May 23rd??? Here is a picture of what I spent the afternoon eating today while I Disney planned:

I ask you: is there anything better than a bag of chocolate with Harrison Ford's picture on it??? I don't think so! :cloud9:

NEXT: Are you a pirate, a princess, or a pirate princess???

That is such a tease! But on a positive note, you did get to go back to the MK a few houres later for the P&PP!

Glad your husband had a chance to sleep off the Big Kahuna :thumbsup2

The pool and playground area are beautiful! Your tr has prompted me to seriously consider it for a future stay.

I'm pretty excited about the new Indiana Jones movie.

And there's nothing better than a bag of chocolate, especially M&M's

Relaxing by the pool? Isn't this the 2nd time you've done this? How great is that?

Women and chocolate......don't come in between those 2.

Jennifer you say that about every resort you read about!!!

Eating chocolate with Harrison Ford!!

All caught up and loving it! Who knew that there was the delightful suprise of a Trip Report within a Pre Trip report! You are one lucky gal getting a last minute trip! What I wouldn't give for a last minute trip! Having to fly makes it hard though so I don't see one in my future.

Happy to hear you like CSR too! We just booked it for our grown ups only trip in January. We have never been but it really does look beee-u-tiful!

I can't wait to hear about your P&PP night! We absolutely loved it! And meeting Captain Jack, be still my heart! :lovestruc

Allyson :)

I cannot wait for Indy. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

great update also. :lmao:

sorry Indy took up my whole mind. :rotfl2:

You're back!! I was gone for a few days and so I just got caught up reading your TR thus far. The kids are darling!!

I love the chocolate with Harrison Ford...yummy!

I'll be back tomorrow to read more!!

Can you believe I've never seen the Indiana Jones movies? the closest I've been is the stunt show at DHS while in a benadryl incuded coma. But if he's good enouch to be associated with m&m's I'll have to watch them!
