The Princess and the Knave take on the World! Complete with pics!

Okay, we awoke from a nice nap and were ready to hit the Magic Kingdom again for the evening, but not without grabbing dinner in the Pop food court first. We had just walked into the food court, when all of the sudden, I hear "Do the Hustle" and the cast members started doing the hustle right in the middle of the food court! Some of them even help up little signs that said, "Do the Hustle." They recruited a few guests and away they went! It was very cute. I hear that they also do The Twist early in the mornings as well. Anyway, the food court has these great TV dinners and each night is a different dinner. This evening was turkey & dressing with mashed potatoes & green beans. It looked so good we both ordered it and we were not disappointed. It was very delicious! Nice and hot, too.

So off we went, with full tummies, to our bus and we were on our way back to the Magic Kingdom. As we got off the bus and were walking toward the front gate, I noticed this beautiful bird perched on a rock. I'd love to know what kind of bird this is, if anyone knows. . .

We made it to the front gate and I stopped to snap a picture of the Main Street Depot before we went in. . .

And I stopped to snap a picture of one of the windows. . .I thought the music window was appropriate for me, since I am going to me a music teacher!

As you can see, it was still pretty crowded!

But it didn't detract from our fun at all. We're in Disney! We decided to go ride Pirates and then use our Jungle Cruise fastpasses from earlier today. Yes, this is the Pirates ride I mentioned earlier where everyone and their dog was taking flash pictures! Arrrrgghhh! Oh well. . .at least I got some great pictures of the outside!

We had a hilarious Jungle Cruise captain. I never get tired of their corny jokes! It was also really neat to note the differences between this Jungle Cruise and Disneyland's Jungle Cruise. WDW's Jungle Cruise has this neat dark tunnel that you go through that Disneyland is missing and I thought it was very neat! I was kind of nervous that some critter was going to jump out at me in the dark, though! :rotfl2: Thankfully that didn't happen!

It was starting to get dark by this time and I always wanted to ride the TTA at night, so we did that and were going to secure a spot for Wishes. . .however I started feeling really sick all of the sudden. I have Lyme Disease and sometimes I get symptoms out of the blue for no reason. I also became terribly fatigued so we reluctantly decided to skip Wishes and see it when we came back to the Magic Kingdom next week. So we spent a grand total of 2 hours in the Magic Kingdom tonight! Darn Lyme Disease! I was really upset because I really wanted to see Wishes, having never seen it before. . .but James assured me we would see if before we went back home to Texas. So I snapped a few pictures of the castle and we grabbed a bus back to our room and watched a bit of TV before we finally fell asleep.

Stay tuned for Day 4! We're going to Epcot for the very first time! Yay! :teeth:

:thumbsup2 This is one of the best reports I have read. I love your attention to detail and the pics add so much!

I am also learning little tips from it like arriving to MK early as the characters ride up on the train and then they throw confetti; my kids will love this! :wizard:

Thank you so much! I've read tons of trip reports and really wanted to make mine a good one. You and your kids will really like the rope drop ceremony! It is really cute and there are tons of characters on the train when it pulls into the station! They count down from 10 and fire the confetti all over everyone and off you go! It really gets me in the Disney mood. :teeth:

Loving your trip report! Thanks for sharing your pics, I love it when people include them in their TR!! Your camera taked really beautiful pictures, the castle pics are awesome!!

Aww, thank you so much! I am so glad you're enjoying it! I just love taking pictures - I purchased a Canon S3 IS camera for this trip and it didn't disappoint! It's a great camera and I got mine at Amazon for $300. I need to practice using the different settings, though. . .some of my pictures at night came out blurry because I didn't have the settings right, but once I master that, look out world! :teeth:

Okay, I've just realized that I am posting way more pictures in my trip report than many people on the DIS do. I think pictures really help tell the story, so I hope y'all don't mind my doing so! I just love pictures and am so happy to be able to share them with you! :teeth:

Not at all!!! I love seeing the pics....just gets me more excited for my trip and makes me feel like I am there with you!!!

I am enjoying your trip report....thanks for sharing!

Aww, thank you! I am so happy to be able to share it with you. I know what you mean about the pictures - before my trip, I read many trip reports with pictures to get me in that Disney mood and to feel like I was there too! :teeth:

Love all of your pictures!!! And I am loving your attention to detail. Hopefully I'll be able to pull that off with my notes and notes and notes and notes that I took!!!

I'm here loving your trip report! You are the first person I've read to ever mention the sidewalk chalk at Pop--what a neat idea! We are staying at Pop for the first time in October and have requested the 50's also and I planned to fax and request lake view also, so I've really enjoyed all your pics of the resort. Are we going to be fighting over the same room in October?:rotfl2:

Keep all the pictures coming; they're great! We got a Canon S2 IS before our trip last Oct. and I've really enjoyed it, but you're right, the night setting can be tricky and I still haven't mastered it! Do you know what the difference is in the S2 and your S3?

Can't wait for an update!:thumbsup2

Hey Girl!

So glad you decided to write a trip report. I'm lovin' it! I love the pics...and the tiara. HEHE I'm planning to wear one for my Arkensus Breakfast!

Keep it Coming!!!

How'd I miss that you started a TR?! No time to catch up right now, but I'll be back! :thumbsup2

enjoying your report and love the photos
looking forward to more and I hope you started feeling better

The pictures of the Castle at night are amazing! You camera does a great job.

More TR please!

AWW, my dear friend Carol, I loved seeing that picture of you in the rocking chair, I remember you saying that is where you were when you called and when just went on like two little girls talking about Disny and how much fun we are going to have in Oct., can't wait, its almost here!!! Keep the trippie and pics going, I feel like I am right there with you. :goodvibes

Carol, your pictures are just beautiful!!

I know what you mean about people using flash on dark rides. How many times do the CM's have to tell them?!?! Ugh that annoys me to no end. Lol

Also those baby ducks are wicked cute! I love all the animals around Disneyworld from the ducks, to the rabbits, to the cranes. Thats so cool that you called Jen from Main st! Even though we arent doing the MGM meet maybe we could still do something else on Sat, if you, Jen and James still wanted to :confused3 ? Tomorrow is our 100 day mark till our meet!! Can ya tell I'm excited?! haha

Well I'm looking forward to reading more of your trip report!!! Can't wait to see more pictures!!
