My DH and i got to see the princess and the from Wed. the night before Thanksgiving at the Ziegfeild theater in NYC.

I really loved the movie and the story line

I do not want to spoil anything- Just letting you know it was wonderful

My close friend recently saw it too at the Disney Studio~

The way she described it makes me so excited to see it~! :)

Several people I know have seen it and they've all said it was great... I'm SO excited. I haven't been this excited for a movie since, I don't know, while the Lord of the Rings movies were being made.

I'm so excited because it isn't CGI. This is the first in a while to be hand drawn. Go Disney. Thank you to Lassiter or whomever decided to let the animators handle this. It will make the movie that much more special.

I am so excited to see this. I am taking DD to see it Fri. She got to meet Tiana and Naveen last week at MK. They were so cute! We als enjoyed the riverboat show.

It was SOOOOO Good!
This will definitely rank up there with my all time Disney favorites!! :lovestruc:love::thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My DD and I just saw it this past Saturday in a packed theatre. Everyone clapped at the end! It was so heartwarming, but be forewarned, there is a very sad part and I heard more than a few sniffles. I actually cried and DD shed a few tears also. It was a wonderful movie filled with great songs, an awesome storyline and pure Disney magic!

We saw it on Sunday and LOVED it! I'd been waiting for a good Disney musical like that for a long time!

We both fell asleep. What I saw of it was good.

Add me to the ranks that loved it! Very classic Disney! Definitely up there among my favorite Disney movies...that good!

We saw it Saturday. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

The art is outstanding -- the New Orleans backgrounds are as beautiful as anything you've ever seen in an animated movie. I was absolutely gob-smacked by a scene with thousands of fireflies in the bayou. It was new and astoundingly beautiful. There's also a very good art deco sequence for one song that looks a bit like something from the title sequences for "The Incredibles" and a dayglo art scene that looks like something from "Nightmare Before Christmas" for a song that the bad guy sings.

The soundtrack is very good. It's Randy Newman, and at least one of the songs managed to successfully create an ear worm. It's not the best Princess soundtrack (that would be "The Little Mermaid") but it's at least as good as the soundtrack for "Beauty and the Beast."

The story is wonderful. A lot has been made about Tiana being the first African American princess. That's all true, but more importantly, Tiana is an American princess and I think her family's story is one that most families can identify with, whatever their color. Naveen is charming and funny.

The story has enough action and adventure to keep my 7 year old boy happy. He announced that he liked it when it was over. He's a tough critic, too. He is the one who pronounced "Finding Nemo" to be "really, really dumb."

It's pretty close to being a perfect Princess movie. Disney should be very, very proud of themselves. I'm really looking forward to "Rapunzel" now, because this one was so good.

Add me to the love it list! Love the music, the scenery and the plot.

Disney made me cry again, actually, I cry at pretty much every Disney movie.

Go and enjoy it! Oh! Loved the dark parts of the movie, too.
My co worker will not take her kids to anything that refers to or mentions the dark arts.

Exactly why I am excited by it. I love computer generated animation, but hand drawn has its merits too. And I am so glad that Disney made it, and that people have responded to it too.
