The Prank Call thread...

This isn't a call but it's really the only prank I tried to pull and it backfired! I worked at the same place as my Dad but in a different department. He would tell people to call over to the storeroom because he needed a ladder stretcher- he's just a big prankster and loves jokes- and they would do it! :)

It was April 1st- April Fools Day. My dad was kind of down. His dad died the year before and April 1st was his mom's birthday and she had passed away a few years previously. I wanted to cheer him up so I decided to play a joke.

Another girl in my office had just found out she was pregnant. I had the big idea to let my dad think it was me who was pregnant. I had all kinds of people tell him they heard someone in my office was pregnant and ask if was it me. He never called me so I knew more drastic measures were needed. He returned to his office everyday at lunch and I had the secretary in his department tell him she heard he was going to be a grandpa again.

It took him until near the end of his work day to call me. He asked me didn't I have something to tell him. I acted innocent and he got mad (that I hadn't told him first) and hung up on me! I had to call him back and tell him April Fools!

A week later I had to go tell him that I would never do another April Fools joke again. My DS is almost 8.5!

My friends an I had a kewl way to get out of math class 1 yr we'd go to pay phone call an leave message that teachers kid at another school was sick an needed to be picked up from school....Teacher fell for it everytime . I think she liked the time away from work in the middle of the day.

Wow. If I'd ever prank called anybody I'd STILL be grounded! I just asked Mrs. Tex and she said pretty much the same thing.

That's me too! The only pranks I've done are when telemarketers call me.

However, I do have a story. And it's not a funny one. When I was in 6th grade (early '90s) my class went on a field trip to a local living history museum. When we were getting ready to leave we were waiting outside for the buses to come pick us up. A couple of the boys found a pay phone. They called 911 and told them that the museum was on fire!!! :scared1: By the time the fire trucks got there our class was long gone. The fire fighters, the museum staff and my school's staff were all beyond LIVID. :furious: :furious: :furious:

And, no, my classmates did NOT learn their lesson. In 8th grade we had a class trip to Chicago. My class behaved so badly that now my school is banned form the city of Chicago! :faint:
