The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses :) COMPLETE

:lovestruc:cloud9:Love your report!!!

I especially enjoyed the singing and the lovely bathrobe princess adventure!:cutie:

I also love all the cute pics. Thank you for doing such a great report! I wish I could have gone with girlfriends at your age.

Aww that last day at Disney is always bittersweet, but it sounds like was off to a great start!

I love the pics in the gift shops, and how nice that Vicki got to see her brother:goodvibes

I agree.. and yes we were not gonna let anything get us down!
Thank you! And yes it was really great!

That's cool that you all were able to spend time with Vickie's brother. I know I would never be able to get my brother to come to disney unless the whole family made him go (I don't know how he didn't catch the disney bug when everyone else in my family did) oh well. Vickie must have been super excited to see him!

Yeah it was a real treat for the two of them because they really don't see eachother often! Aww I'm sad your brother doesn't love Disney! That stinks!!

yey another update. The last full day always makes me sad, but it looks like you have had an amazing time and made the most of it. I love the cute boy count and the amazing photos of your trip. Looking forward to see what you did for the rest of the day.

I know me too! But yes it was fun! hahaha thank you and I am excited to share the rest with you all!

Another great update! The pics are amazing... So sad this TR is coming to an end... Glad you have another TR going for us to keep following along. Will Kristen be doing a PTR and TR too? Hopefully she is as talented at writing as you.

Thank you! I am sad too! I'm glad you are excited to follow the next one too! Kristen will be doing a TR for both! And she is going to be fantastic!!! I am so excited to read her TR's because they're going to be very funny and enthusiastic!

dsc0703cp.jpg

That is such an awesome picture! I love how you caught them all leaping at the same time!

The last full day of a Disney trip is always bittersweet, but it just means it's time to start planning a new one!

Thank you!! I was so excited when I got that picture I thought it was so cool!
And yes, thankfully I have been back twice since then and I have another trip or two coming up :rotfl: I'm a little obsessed. No time to be sad when you know you're going back!

I was sad reading about your last day at Disney but yay on having more future trips planned!

I love the pics and commentary of the 'Dream Along with Mickey' show! :lovestruc Am soo looking forward to seeing it on our trip.

Yay on getting the pixie dust in your hair!

The artsy shot of the castle your mum took is magical!

I would have been the same if Splash Mountain had been closed - it sure looks like a fun ride!

Yes, I can't go too long without having a trip planned! I think the longest I went since I was 10 was... August 2009 to the end of September 2010 without having a trip planned. That was sad! But then we planned this one and it was AMAZING!
Hahaha thank you! That show is beyond adorable!
The pixie dust was great!
And I love that picture! I set it as my laptop background last night.
And oh yes Splash Mountain is awesome! I'm glad that was only a temporary closing!

Great pictures- love the Castle shot and the Dream Along with Mickey ones. The last day is sad, but I also think the last park day is a lot of fun, squeezing in everything one last time. It looks like you all had fun time so far.

Thank you! And I agree!

Aw last days are so sad but hurray for a Disney Christmas trip

You got great pictures of Dream Along With Mickey. I've never stopped to watch it, I've only heard the music as I'd walk around the park. How sweet Vicki got to see her brother. They must have been excited to see each other.

YAYYY for Christmas! I'm really excited for that too!!
Thank you! It's a really cute show!
And yes they were really happy to be reunited!

The last full day at Disney is always so bittersweet! You have fun of course, but it's always in the back of your mind that you have to leave soon! I hate that feeling!

Wow! Your Dream Along With Mickey pictures are gorgeous! They look like postcards! I love how blue the sky is in the background! What a perfect day for Disney!

Awww, that is so cool that you got pixie dust in your hair! I remember when I was a little girl someone bought me some toy pixie dust and I used to keep it in the bathroom cabinet and only used it for special occasions because I was convinced it was magic!

That is so cool that you guys got to meet up with Vickie's brother! What a nice surprise!

Bittersweet is definitely the word! :sad2: I always complain that I never want to leave... and then I have to.
Thank you so much! :) It was a REALLY great day.. the best one (so far) weatherwise.
And aww that is such a cute story!! I really want some pixie dust of my own
And yes, it was planned last minute, but it was great that they got to see eachother! And I'm glad we got to meet him too! He was awesome!

I am DEFINITELY going to do a TR for both of my trips this summer, but I don't think I am going to do a PTR. It is going to get VERYY busy for me very soon, because of exams, prom, a wedding, graduations, etc. So I don't think I will have time to do a PTR, let alone two! :scared1: I will entertain you all with TWO frumptabulous TR's though. :cool1:

:thumbsup2 I can't wait. P.S. YAY FOR PROM! :woohoo:

When are your trips going to be? I can't wait to read you TR's I am loving this current TR that Jess is writing. You both are so entertaining! Oh and have fun at prom! I loved going to my prom last year and I can't believe that prom season is here already! If you two get a chance can you please post some prom dress pictures? I also loved your use of the word "Frumptabulous".

Her trips will be in July and August and they are going to be very very fun to read about! And i have plenty more TR's to come! Don't worry :) I think I'll be writing these from now on so I can remember all of my trips!
We will definitely have to post some prom pictures so you all can see our dresses :) Yay!

We stopped and watched that show for the first time start to finish last September and I agree with you...we loved it!

So great that Vickie's brother made it to see all of you...she must have been thrilled!!

Yay isn't it great!? And yes, I'm glad tim came too! It was a fun addition to our last day!

:lovestruc:cloud9:Love your report!!!

I especially enjoyed the singing and the lovely bathrobe princess adventure!:cutie:

I also love all the cute pics. Thank you for doing such a great report! I wish I could have gone with girlfriends at your age.

Thank you so much! Hahaha that was a wonderful night! Thanks again and You're so welcome!! No problem :) I feel so blessed to have gotten this opportunity. Kristen and I were just talking tonight about how that trip seemed "too good to be true." It was just amazing and so magical :wizard:

First of all, this is the most beautiful thing I have ever read. Will someone pass the tissues, please?
Okay. Here goes. Once upon a time...Kara, Jess and I went to Disney World. We were chased by birds everywhere we went. So we hid on It's a Small World. But then the birds followed us in there and attacked all the dolls and the pink front buns and the platypi (is that the plural?) that were throwing eggs at us. So we felt bad so we escaped and went on the Mad Tea Party and the birds were afraid of the screeching noise at the end. So then we went to the Polynesian where they couldn't find us because we hid behind all those crazy Tiki men. Then once they flew away we went to Ohana and ate our little hearts out. Then we went to Hollywood Studios where we rode Rock n' Roller Coaster and we all sat with really cute boys who we all ended up marrying. I got proposed to by Cinderella's Wishing Well, Jess got proposed to by the fountain near Crystal Palace, and (I'm not really sure where in WDW you want to be proposed at) but wherever it is, that's where Kara got engaged. Then we all had our weddings and honeymoons in Disney World and we all lived happily ever after. The end. :wizard:

There. I just came up with that in like less than 3 minutes. :rotfl:

Y'know, I don't think I've ever stopped to watch Dream Along With Mickey. I mean, I've been, like, aware that it was happening, but I've never actually stopped walking to watch. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can't help but notice that the dancers' costumes are VERY blue. :rotfl:

YOU GUYS GOT PIXIE DUSTED??? I AM SOOOOOO JEALOUS. You could make 4485983948393984 PB&J sandwiches with all the jelly I'm feeling right now.

Awww, the picture of you guys hugging is adorable. And the artsy castle shot is beautiful. I love shots like that. :thumbsup2

Dry Splash Mountain is so sad. :sad1:

That's so great that Vicki got to see her brother! What better way is there for two siblings to spend the day than enjoying WDW? :goodvibes

Yay :)

I'm glad Vicki was able to spend time with her brother!
Great pictures!
I'm so sad it's your last full day. :guilty:

First of all, this is the most beautiful thing I have ever read. Will someone pass the tissues, please?

HAHAHA aww thanks. :goodvibes I am such a creative storyteller ya know.

:rotfl:

Haha they ARE very blue. The characters' costumes used to be like that during the Year of a Million Dreams too. And yeah a lot of the time I know it's happening but I don't stop to watch it either lol.

HAHA that is A LOT of PB&J. YUM. Just go in the Castle Couture store by Cinderella's fountain. The CM's in there will most likely sprinkle you. princess: Or the BBB in DTD. If you walk by that one inside World of Disney they sometimes give you pixie dust there too. It's happened to me twice there! :thumbsup2

That hug picture is like the Kristen and Jess classic.

That pic is sooo good! Props to Mother!

You have NO idea how sad dry Splash Mountain made me. My heart would break a little more every time we walked by. :sad2:

Vickie's brother was SOOO nice. We loved him! :)

The July one is the 25th-31st at the POLY!!! :woohoo: And the August one is the 15th-31st (2 are travel days- we're driving for this trip) at CSR!!! :yay: I am SOOO excited to do TWO TR's for you all! :cool1: And Jess has her February one going and one from April too! And she'll have a Christmas one as well! It's a TR party between the two of us! I am SO excited about prom!! We will definitely post pictures for ya'al! :goodvibes And haha well I can't take any credit for "Frumptabulous," ntikos came up with it first! It's genius! :thumbsup2

Loved the update!! I almost MISSED IT!! You girls are too cute together. And that picture of you and your mom is great, that should be in a frame. And the castle pic was beautiful!!!
YES post Prom pics, you know we all love all 3 of you and of course we want to see real life pics too. I wish I had the energy to do a TR for our next trip...........(maybe my daughter is reading this...she can do it!!!! lol)

We never watch the shows either, but this next trip we are going to try and relax a bit more! I keep reading how great the 'extra stuff' is and we hardly take the time to do them.

Yay for Vicks brother! That is great that he came to hang out with you fun gals!!

Hi! I just found your TR via the food porn thread. :goodvibes I just read the whole thing and I love it! I went down in high school with my school music department so all of my best friends came with me too, but it seems like you had much more fun than we did. You're so lucky that you got to stay club level at the Yacht Club, it looks soooo nice! We're staying at the Beach Club Villas in October.

I think we had the same server as you at 50s Prime Time Cafe! Do you remember where he was from? Our Mark was from Endor, NY (which doesn't actually exist?) and I was trying to read his name tag in your picture but I couldn't make it out.

I'm laughing at the Gryffindor scarf count; is there a particular reason you were counting them? (I'm trying to convince my mom to go to WWoHP in January when we go to Florida to look at grad schools, and I might end up buying a Ravenclaw one if they have them. :rolleyes1)

Oh, I don't know if anyone has answered your question about the buses being named "Belle" or "Rapunzel", but yes, I do believe that I heard those are training buses, or buses that don't have a set destination.

I have spend the last 2 nights reading this trip report. And LOVED every minute of it. I am from Australia and honeymooning to disneyworld in October, this report was so so fun and detailed. So great to see such a fresh minded view of the world. Thank you thank you. I will be joining you for your future TRs!!

Great trip report!! I love all the pictures - I'm the same way at WDW, gotta take pics of everything! I have also wondered if anyone actually buys all those hats and toys in the stores or if people just use them over and over again as props. :rotfl2:

Good update :goodvibes Our next trip I think we are going to relax and just take it all in instead of major planning. Its nice to just take a breather sometimes :thumbsup2
Do post prom pics! I would love to see your dresses! :cutie:

Chapter 25 - Being Magically Productive!
January 18th, 2011

Kristen and I met up with Vickie, Mother, and Tim, and it was just in time for our Space Mountain Fastpasses! Hooray! Tim was starting off his day with pretty great rides!

img2585f.jpg

Then we walked back to Toontown to take the train to Frontierland! We decided to take a ride on the "Wildest Ride in the Wilderness:" Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Yee-Haw!

dsc05532g.jpg

All of those thrills made us hungry! So our next stop was Pecos Bill! YUMMY! I love burgers.

Here is all of the food that we ordered:

dsc0735h.jpg

Kristen and I got Regular Ol' Cheeseburgers:

dsc0737g.jpg

Mother got the Deluxe Burger:

dsc0740g.jpg

Vickie got the Taco Salad:

dsc0744t.jpg

And Tim got the Pulled Pork.

dsc0739a.jpg

And as for our Desserts:

Fat Free Strawberry Yogurt

dsc0743f.jpg

Carrot Cake

dsc0742b.jpg

and Chocolate Cake.

dsc0741e.jpg

YUM! I don't think there were any complaints! We all really enjoyed our meal. I think Pecos Bill is one of my top favorite quick services!

We had a really good time at lunch! Tim told us some great stories! One that I remember was about his one roommate. This guy suddenly started staying at his house, and he just never left. So Tim asked him if he had any place to live. The guy told him no, so Tim let him live with him and his buddies for a while. He eventually left, and then soon after that, Tim found out that he was on a Wanted List for a bunch of crimes :scared1: So, he was living with a criminal all that time. At least he's okay!

After lunch, we headed to Adventureland and hopped on Pirates. After the drop, there was this weird announcement that was playing. It said "Please stand clear of the animatronics. They may begin moving at any time." It was very weird because the ride was totally fine. Huh. I don't really know what was wrong.

While we were still in Adventureland we got Jungle Cruise Fastpasses, then went over to Liberty Square and rode the Haunted Mansion.

After that was It's a Small World. Tim wanted to go on this ride because he remembered it from the last time he was there, which was a while ago. He liked the classics.

dsc0746wz.jpg

Vickie thought these clowns were really creepy so she took a picture for her sister, who is VERY afraid of clowns.

img2581f.jpg

dsc0751f.jpg

dsc0752eh.jpg

We stopped at the Bathroom and decided that Fantasyland must have been made for us. The sign above the ladies room says "Princess!" How perfect.

dsc0745z.jpg

Then we went on Peter Pan's Flight with Fastpasses.

dsc0774q.jpg

After that, we went back to Tomorrowland and rode Space Mountain once again!

dsc05522b.jpg

dsc05521p.jpg

And while in Tomorrowland, Kristen and I went on the PeopleMover while the others went on Carrousel of Progress.

dsc0757m.jpg

dsc0759yu.jpg

While in Tomorrowland, I spotted a reference I had never connected before. In AP English, we had just finished up reading "The Merchant of Venice" by Shakespeare right around this time. I come to Tomorrowland and I find... The Merchant of VENUS! HA. HA. :rotfl2: I was really amused by that.

dsc0755w.jpg

Speaking of AP English, my exam is this Thursday, May 5th!! Wish me luck :scared1:

So, as you can see, we were determined and rode a lot of rides that afternoon! It was important for us to absorb as much magic as possible while we still had a little time left!

Dry Splash Mountain is so sad. :sad1:

That's so great that Vicki got to see her brother! What better way is there for two siblings to spend the day than enjoying WDW? :goodvibes

The blue-ness may have to do with either the fanciness of my camera or some enhancements on iphoto :rotfl:
HAHAHA my friend always says that she's jelly!! I love that. It still hasn't caught on to me but I need to start saying that. I hope you get pixie dusted on your next trip!
And thank you! My mother is just a little photographer LOL.
And yes I know! It was a great reunion!

Oh wow this trip report is amazing!!

Seems like such a fun trip :goodvibes

Aww thank you so much!!

I'm glad Vicki was able to spend time with her brother!
Great pictures!
I'm so sad it's your last full day. :guilty:

Thank you! And I know :( It was a very sad day indeed.

Loved the update!! I almost MISSED IT!! You girls are too cute together. And that picture of you and your mom is great, that should be in a frame. And the castle pic was beautiful!!!
YES post Prom pics, you know we all love all 3 of you and of course we want to see real life pics too. I wish I had the energy to do a TR for our next trip...........(maybe my daughter is reading this...she can do it!!!! lol)

OH NO! Well I'm glad you didn't miss it! But it would always be here for you no matter what!
Thank you for the picture compliments! And I will definitely post some prom pictures!! And hahaha I hope your daughter does a TR! They're so fun to write as well as reed!
And yeah relaxing opens the doors for a lot of things you usually pass by. I have a hard time stopping for the shows, but I really should try to do that more often!
And yes! It was great to meet and hang out with Tim in Disney World!

Hahaha somebody would find us through the Food thread :rotfl: We are all over that thing! I'm so glad you found us! And aww I'm sure your trip was a blast! Yeah, Yacht Club was a blast! And OMG you're gonna have a great time at BCV! I want to stay there SO BAD!

I think we had the same server as you at 50s Prime Time Cafe! Do you remember where he was from? Our Mark was from Endor, NY (which doesn't actually exist?) and I was trying to read his name tag in your picture but I couldn't make it out.

Haha did you really?! I just checked the picture and zoomed in and it indeed said Endor, NY! hahaha That's really funny that Endor doesn't exist! I wonder how many of the nametags are incorrect. I bet tons of them are!

I'm laughing at the Gryffindor scarf count; is there a particular reason you were counting them? (I'm trying to convince my mom to go to WWoHP in January when we go to Florida to look at grad schools, and I might end up buying a Ravenclaw one if they have them. :rolleyes1)

I don't know why we counted them! Probably because we just noticed them EVERYWHERE and started keeping track. I hope you get to go to WWoHP! I'm not a big HP person, but if you like it I bet it would be an awesome experience!

Oh, I don't know if anyone has answered your question about the buses being named "Belle" or "Rapunzel", but yes, I do believe that I heard those are training buses, or buses that don't have a set destination.

Thank you for answering that!! I've always wondered and that's what I assumed, but was never sure. So thank you!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Oh my Goodness I think Australia is such a cool place! I did a project on it in third grade, and if I had to live anywhere besides the US I would move there! That's really cool that you're going to Disney for your Honeymoon! Congratulations! You're going to have an amazing time! I'm so happy you enjoy the trip report and I am looking forward to sharing more stories with you! :)

Great trip report!! I love all the pictures - I'm the same way at WDW, gotta take pics of everything! I have also wondered if anyone actually buys all those hats and toys in the stores or if people just use them over and over again as props. :rotfl2:

Thank you so much! And oh yeah, I'm a photo-a-holic in Disney! And yes, I wonder too! Maybe for halloween once in a while? I just always wonder how many people have worn those pirate hats... :scared: probably lots and lots!

Good update :goodvibes Our next trip I think we are going to relax and just take it all in instead of major planning. Its nice to just take a breather sometimes :thumbsup2
Do post prom pics! I would love to see your dresses! :cutie:

Thank you! Relaxing is great, isn't it? There's so much to do even when you're taking your time! I will definitely post prom pictures! There are two of them actually - one is May 13th, which Vickie and I are going to. And the other is June 10th, which is the one Kristen and I are going to! So, we have those to look forward to!

Good luck on your AP exam!! And how's this for a little motivation....my son started college with 14 credits that he earned in high school. Do you know how much money that saved? $800.00 a credit hour X 14..........whew!!! So get that score you need, you will be so happy when you are in college that you spent the year learning those subjects instead of 12 weeks in college (or 15 if you are lucky). I'm in college now and I tell my kids that are in high school and middle school. Have fun with classes like foreign languages etc. You get the whole year to learn them!! It's so much tougher when it's all crammed in to one semester. (and being a mom and working might add to it haha)
Wow am I a public service announcement for education tonight or what??:teacher:

LOVED the update!!!! When is Prom?

Yayyy for an update. :yay: Even though I knew it was coming...LOL.

I love Tim and that he met up with us. :goodvibes

Fave = "Buckle up kids cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" LOVE that. Frontierland just wins in my eyes. :)

Lunch was yummy, those little chocolate cakes are sooo good!

Oh IASW, how you scare people. I look past that and see the good. :lmao:

The Princess bathroom has got to be one of my faves. Just because it says that. :p

Oh you and the Merchant of Venus. :rotfl: You cracked up at that. You are officially the Princess of Corny jokes. :princess:

And OMG this was the day I did "Sorry Mickey, sorry Mickey, sorry Mickey" in Tomorrowland! Eeeeeeeppppppp can't wait for that video. :woohoo:

Real Life Update #1: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
April 30th, 2011

Don't miss the actual TR update that is above!! I just did two updates in one day because.... I don't wanna do my homework. :rotfl2:

Yesterday was a very big day! Vickie, our friend Natalie, Kristen's Mom, and My Mom threw Kristen and me a SURPRISE PARTY! YAY!
party:

We all had plans to have a bonfire at my house yesterday. But Vickie told us that we haven't hung out in so long, so lets go out to dinner first!

So, we drove to Olive Garden and were seated at a table. Natalie was like "I have to go to the bathroom!" and Vickie said "me too!" So, they both left. The waitress came over to our table and told us we were seated in the wrong spot and we should follow her.

Kristen was like... well should I grab the menus?? She said no, she'll get us new ones.

So, we followed her into the little back room where we usually have our musical cast parties, and all of the sudden SURPRISE!!! All of our friends were there for our party!

My birthday is a week from today on May 8th, and Kristen's is June 16th! Since the end of the year is super crazy, it seemed like a good day to have a party, even thought it was on the earlier side. But hey, any day is a good day to have a birthday party, right?!

I had sort of an idea about the party because my Mom originally told me that Kristen's Mom wanted to throw her a party. But that was way back in the fall. And Nat had a big mouth and was like "Kristen's Mom called me last night!!" So that sort of gave it away. The good thing was that I didn't know the party was going to be at Olive Garden. I was surprised that everyone was there. It's funny that I never put 2 and 2 together.

But Kristen was COMPLETELY surprised! She had no idea! So, it was really exciting. Her jaw dropped when she saw everyone there.

Here we are at Olive Garden, super happy! I think we made little tables out of business cards and tooth picks. The service was a bit slow, but hey, it was our birthday so it didn't matter!

I thought it would be appropriate to do a real life update on our party mainly because of our beautiful cake!! Sadly, there was no Jasmine on there. But all of the classics were, as were we!! So it was totally okay! You may recognize the picture because it's from our January trip!!

birthday7.jpg

The funny thing was that Kristen was wearing the same frumpy disney zip-up yesterday that she wore in the picture!

birthday6.jpg

birthday1x.jpg

It was a great party! A lot of people bought us little presents, many were Disney themed. (Surprise, surprise) We split a Seafood Alfredo, which was delicious!!

Then we went back to my house and met up with the rest of the people who couldn't come to dinner! We went down to a beach that's near my house, went to the playground, and finished the night off with a bonfire!

So that was our precious little birthday party, and I thought you all would enjoy that! YAY FOR BIRTHDAYS!

YAYYYY for our birthdayyy!!! party:

I was SO surprised!! I had absolutely NO idea about ANY of that!!

And of course I wore my frumpy Disney zip-up. It was just Olive Garden with a few other frumps, so who cares, right? Or so I thought... :rotfl:

That was seriously one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me, besides like my mom of course. :goodvibes But it's so nice to know that I have such good friends like Vickie and Nat who would throw us a surprise party. :) And Jess for being my birthday bud! :thumbsup2

Very cute birthday! Love seeing your friends in all those Disney sweatshirts :) Your trip sounded like so much fun. I've loved reading allll of it!

Awesome updates!

Pecos Bill looks really yummy, I can see why you guys liked it so much.

Your birthday looks like so much fun, what a fun surprise

Good luck on your exam:goodvibes
