The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses :) COMPLETE

Chapter 22 - Thrills and Spills and Cute Boys! Oh My!
January 17th, 2011

Next on the agenda was the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!! The line wasn't long at all (it was probably like... 13 minutes.. muhaha)

The guy standing in line in front of us had on this cool jacket. He must have been quite a character.

Ba-Dum-Ching! (that was supposed to be the sound of a drum.... LOL)

We wanted to do a cute ride picture... but of course I was scared and had to hold on. So the picture didn't completely follow through. But Kristen did it! Her pose was the original plan.

dsc05453j.jpg

Next up was Rock N Roller Coaster!

dsc05458.jpg

We took some pictures of us wearing Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat!

dsc05465a.jpg
dsc05466e.jpg

Then, we headed over to Toy Story Mania to use our Fastpasses from earlier in the day!

dsc05477y.jpg

dsc05479q.jpg

Kristen and I sat together. Here are our scores! (she beat me... wah.)

dsc05485j.jpg

Then we went on Tower of Terror again!

dsc05500gh.jpg

Then we went back to Rock N Roller Coaster and used Vick's Fastpass that she won from American Idol auditions. Woohoo!

dsc05504m.jpg

STORY TIME!!

Sooo... There was a cute guy in front of us in line. Yay!

It was Kristen's turn to ride alone because Vick and I had ridden alone all day. So, they split us up into rows at the loading dock.

The rows went like this: Kristen and this man from the single rider line in the back, then me and Vickie, and then the cute guy and a little boy in front of us.

The guy who was riding with Kristen asked her if she wanted to switch seats with the little boy. Thinking that the man was implying for her to sit with the cute guy, Kristen was like "oh no, that's okay!"

And I was like, "wait.... is the little boy your son?"

And the man said yes. So Kristen switched with him. Soooo she ended up getting to sit with the cute guy. LUCKY.

He was from Kansas. She called him "her hick boy from Kansas." They had a lovely little conversation. And yeah. It was REALLY funny that it worked out that way.

Here they are!

dsc05507t.jpg

I'm waiting for the day that Kristen meets her future husband in Disney World.

Then we went on Tower of Terror AGAIN! It was great because the lines were so short! That rain from earlier in the day really kept the park cleared out!

dsc05513s.jpg

And I ruined this cute picture too! But this time I just forgot. We were all going to lean to one side... But I was just too distracted. Oh well!

dsc05515mw.jpg

Then we went shopping! I got myself a white crew neck with Mickey on it! It was child sized.

Then we headed back to the Yacht Club because we were pretty worn out. The boat was there when we got to the dock.

When we arrived back at the Yacht Club, Kristen slipped and fell on the dock after she got off of the boat. LOL what a frump.

We went back to the room and checked out the food that was available in the Club Level Lounge. There was Raspberry and Peanut Butter Mousse out! I had the Raspberry one and it was delicious!

dsc05517j.jpg

dsc05519f.jpg

Then we decided to go to the "Ship-Shape Health Club!"

The Jacuzzi they have in there is so nice! I feel like people miss it because it's in a little back room. But we had it all to ourselves. How wonderful!

Then Vick lifted her weights. She likes to do that every day.

There was this creepy old guy who kept giving us work-out tips. It was a little weird. He claimed he worked for Disney... but I don't think I believe him. I didn't see a name tag! Once Vick finished, we left immediately. There's no need for creepers in Disney!!

We went back to the room and changed. Then we had to figure out what to do for dinner!

We decided to go to the Beach Club and try out The Beach Club Marketplace!

For some reason I didn't bring my camera... I don't know WHAT I was thinking. We were going to a meal for goodness sakes! Oh well. We took a few phone pictures so that will have to do!

The walk over there was really cute. The Beach Club is my favorite resort, even though I've never stayed there. I have always wanted to since I was in Middle School. But, we just never have booked our trip there! One day....

The rugs in the hotel have Sebastian and Flounder on them! That won me over even more. How much cuter can you get?!

We finally arrived at the Beach Club Market Place. I got a Vegetable Flatbread and it was FANTASTIC! I really really loved it.

downsized950117112147.jpg

I also got a yogurt parfait, but there were weird nuts in it that I didn't really like. I don't know. It wasn't good granola like you can get at other places. None of us really loved those. But that's okay. I guess that's what we get for ordering a light dessert!

downsized950117112149.jpg

Kristen got a Turkey Mozzarella Sandwich. We think that Vickie either got a salad or veggie wrap... and we're not exactly sure what Mother got. That's what happens when I forget my camera. :( Wah.

We ate outside at a little table. I was absolutely exhausted throughout the whole meal. So once we finished, we headed back to the room and went to bed.

We had to get a good night's sleep for our last full day in Disney tomorrow ):

Hi  decided to come out of lurkdom and comment on this great TR!! :thumbsup2

Have loved reading it so far - sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing what a 'frump' is - have learnt another new thing on these boards! :goodvibes

Club level sounds awesome and yay on all the character interaction you guys got - love the Mary Poppins and Snow White funny liners.

You guys sound hilarious and yay on being brave enough to sing at B&C - don't think I would have done that. However, I do not have the singing voices you guys have. Also sounds like you had a great experience auditioning for American Idol.

Am glad Vicki was feeling better again after getting sick and love all your meal reviews.

Look forward to reading more :)

Thank you for posting! We're so glad you're here!
I'm glad we taught you the meaning of this wonderful word! Hopefully it will sneak it's way into your vocabulary in the near future!
Yes, Club Level was pure heaven! And the characters were great!
And aww than you! We like to do random things like that! Anything involving singing is always fun for us!
And thank you! I'm glad you're here!

Nice update! I love the character pics! The drawing class is always a blast and free too which is awesome!

Thank you! And yes, that is one of the greatest ideas ever. That's probably my favorite thing to do in Hollywood Studios, no lie.

What awesome character pictures you guys ended up with, and your drawings of Pooh all turned out fantastic...I always think the drawings a such an awesome souvenier to get to take home.

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Thank you!! And I completely agree! They are wayy too much fun and they're super cute!

Great updates! The 50's Prime Time is one of my absolute favorites!

So sad that Vickie had to misbehave though and get herself in a time out! I will have to remember not to text at the table when there.

Thank you! And oh me too! 50's is awesome, I always recommend it to people! And yes, that's a good lesson to everyone! NO TEXTING AT THE TABLE (especially at 50's!!)

DHS looks so empty! Hooray for seeing all those characters! Did Lotso smell like strawberries? ;) The Splash Mountain drawing is really cute. Disney Animation's gift shop has so many awesome prints I'd love to purchase.

It really was! And honestly, I can't remember. He probably did, but I probably missed it because I was so enthralled by the decorations. And oh my gosh, I know. There are so many pieces of art I wish I could buy! They're beautiful!

Love all the character pics! I don't know if I've ever seen a picture with Mary Poppins and the Penguins before. That's pretty cool. :cool1:

The Winnie the Pooh books by A A Milne are wonderful. It's very interesting to read the original stories.

Thank you! And I really need to get around to reading those! I bet they're adorable!

AH! I kinda want to go into the Art of Animation now! All those sketches look AMAZING! :cheer2: And the Street of America makes my fingers itch for my camera. 20 Days! I can't wait!!!

You really should! It's so much fun!! And AHHH I am so excited for you! Let me know if you do a trip report so I can read it! :)

You guys all did a great job on your drawings of Pooh! That class looks like fun, I haven't been to the Animation Academy in years, since it was the old format and the animators actually working there!

Oh, and the big hairy Muppet with the flashlight is Sweetums! :goodvibes

Thank you! And oh, make sure you get there on your next trip! It's such a great experience!
And hahaha oh thank you!! I could not remember his name! He's frumpy :)

OH MY GOSH. I've missed TWO updates...I feel so behind!

Yay! 50's Prime Time! I've never been there before, but we have a lunch reservation for our trip in July. I'm so excited to try it! I really wanna try the Pot Roast and that Brownie Sundae. Yummmmm. Oh and a chocolate milkshake, of course!

:rotfl: My sister is totally going to get put in time out for texting at the table. She can barely set her phone down to take a bite of food, let alone an entire meal. It shall be quite entertaining for the rest of us.

I love that you were matching up Muppets with your friends from home. My friends and I were actually doing that the other night, except with characters from Winnie the Pooh. I'm Piglet because I'm afraid of just about everything...minus making a fool out of myself. For some reason, I'm not afraid of that.

I LOVE the Magic of Disney Animation. I could take the drawing classes all day. All of your Poohs are adorable! ...And that would sound really disturbing if taken out of context. :lmao:

It's okay!! I know, I'm speeding ahead. Sorry about that!
You are going to LOVE 50's! I'm predicting some funny antics occurring during your family's experience! I can't wait to read that TR update!
And oh no! Don't warn her ;) She will learn the hard way!
And hahaha aww that's funny! I love piglet! Yeah Kristen and I do that ALL the time! We have a Full House Family, Toy Story Family, Peter Pan Family, Mary Poppins Family, etc. So many match-ups. It's just really amusing!
And oh I completely agree! That class is wonderful! And HAHAHA you crack me up. Well, thank you. I'm glad you like our.... drawings.

I fell behind, but you know I'm here reading  I remember when you were texting me how bad the rain was and that you bought ponchos!

YAY You're back! Kristen and I were just talking about how we missed you reading along with us, and then you commented! YAY! And aww yes, I remember that too! Now you can see the real experience!

Great 50's update. Too funny Vicki kept getting put in time-out.
I love the picture of you girls with the umbrella. And, your Pooh picture turned out really good!
I need to check out your 2nd TR. I'm impressed that you're able to keep up with 2 TR's. I'm having a hard time keeping up with my one!

Thank you, thank you! And LOL yeah, I don't know how I do it either. I have a little system now where I ride on my exercise bike while I do updates, so I try and do that almost every day. So, I end up writing a lot of installments! I'm glad you're going to follow the new one too! But yeah, I was looking to see if you updated yours yesterday actually! I love it :) Super cute! I always look forward to your updates!

Nice update! It sounds like a great night! Your CL pics are killing me! I saved $500+ today by switching our summer Vero Beach room to my friend's CM Discount so I figured on our last night maybe I'd surprise my parents (30th wedding anniv in June) and cancel our room at WL and upgrade to Poly CL but I LOVED YC but of course it's sold out since it's mid June but I'm trying to decide if Poly is worth it since I've never done it and they had their Disneymoon at CR in 1981 so it would be kind of cool to do that 30 years later..I don't know we'll see. It's $94 extra to stay the one night CL than just a garden room at Poly. Maybe I'll tell them I booked Poly and not tell them about CL haha..sorry I just totally hijacked the post!!!!! The desserts look wonderful though!!! Is the lounge 24/7 now bc when we stayed in Aug they were trying it out the week after we left to make them 24/7???

What amazing luck with the lines all being so short, that makes WDW even more fun:goodvibes

The beach club is my dream resort too, I love all the Little mermaid touches

Yay for Kristen getting to sit the cute boy! He was cute, I wonder if his mom may read the Dis?
I cannot believe on your last ToT ride, it was not even full!
I'm finally getting an update today!

You guys are ToT Diehards... Im surprised the CMs didnt high five you as you went on again and again and again! :)

Sounds like a fun night :) Kristen was very lucky to sit next to the cute guy as well! Sad that you are approaching the end of your trip as well, at least you had another one right after it though to keep your mind off being 2 sad.

Wow! Just found this Frumptabulous Trip Report.

We are eating @ 50's prime time for the first time and now I'm looking forward to my daughter getting put in time our for texting at the table. :rotfl:

Great job on the TR and everybody should have your attitude of fun while @ WDW.

Tower of Terror is so awesome! I love how you all got to ride it so many times without a line. I always feel like Tower of Terror is a bit eerier when it's half empty. :scared1:

You guys sure love the thrill rides!! Yay on riding them soo many time!

Love the cute guy story :lovestruc

YAY You're back! Kristen and I were just talking about how we missed you reading along with us, and then you commented! YAY! And aww yes, I remember that too! Now you can see the real experience!

I'm always reading  I just don't get to post often since silly college gets in the way ;)

Wow! Just found this Frumptaboulos Trip Report.

You are VERY welcome here! :rotfl2: Frumptabulous...genius! :thumbsup2

You guys are ToT Diehards... Im surprised the CMs didnt high five you as you went on again and again and again! :)

That would have been awesome if they did!!! :cool1: I love that ride!!! :thumbsup2

Ba-Dum-Ching! (that was supposed to be the sound of a drum.... LOL)

Good try...just kidding. :lmao:

We wanted to do a cute ride picture... but of course I was scared and had to hold on. So the picture didn't completely follow through. But Kristen did it! Her pose was the original plan.

I follow through on our ride poses. LOL.

I'm waiting for the day that Kristen meets her future husband in Disney World.

SO. AM. I. :rotfl2:

And I ruined this cute picture too! But this time I just forgot. We were all going to lean to one side... But I was just too distracted. Oh well!

dsc05515mw.jpg

See what I mean? HAHA.

Then we went shopping! I got myself a white crew neck with Mickey on it! It was child sized.

Story of our lives. :rotfl:

When we arrived back at the Yacht Club, Kristen slipped and fell on the dock after she got off of the boat. LOL what a frump.

Hey now!! In my defense, it was REALLY REALLY slippery and you walk too fast!! There is NO fire to run away from in Disney World! ...Except in the Enchanted Tiki Room! :rotfl2:

We went back to the room and checked out the food that was available in the Club Level Lounge. I'm not really sure what they were, but I think I had the one with the raspberry and it was really good!

dsc05517j.jpg

dsc05519f.jpg

I'm sorry everyone, she got too distracted by their deliciousness to remember what they were called. :rotfl: They were raspberry and peanut butter mousse.

There was this creepy old guy who kept giving us work-out tips. It was a little weird. He claimed he worked for Disney... but I don't think I believe him. I didn't see a name tag! Once Vick finished, we left immediately. There's no need for creepers in Disney!!

Amen to this. That guy was WEIRD.

The walk over there was really cute. The Beach Club is my favorite resort, even though I've never stayed there. I have always wanted to since I was in Middle School. But, we just never have booked our trip there! One day....

Same. One day... :cloud9:

The rugs in the hotel have Sebastian and Flounder on them! That won me over even more. How much cuter can you get?!

Right though?!!? I almost passed out when I saw these. Considering the Little Mermaid is my FAVORITE. :yay:

We finally arrived at the Beach Club Market Place. Unfortunately, since we didn't have our camera, I can't remember what everyone got. But I do know that I got a Vegetable Flatbread and it was FANTASTIC! I really really loved it.

I do. Again. I got a turkey mozzarella sandwich and I feel like Vick got a salad or a veggie wrap. :confused3

We had to get a good night's sleep for our last full day in Disney tomorrow ):

WAHHHHHHHHHH. :sad1:

Yay for Kristen getting to sit the cute boy! He was cute, I wonder if his mom may read the Dis?

Yayyy for me! :lmao: And I HOPE SO. Hi cute hick boy's mom!!

That guy's jacket is pretty cool :thumbsup2

Wow I've never seen ToT's elevator that empty before! Yay for riding so many times! :goodvibes I love cute ride pictures. In one of the many ToT redneck photos I've taken there was one where a couple was kissing. I thought that was adorable.

Stopping by to say hello! I have a lot of catching up to do. The three of you are adorable, btw. :goodvibes And as an all-girls school alum, I know all about the frumping. :lmao: We looked at anyone who wore make-up everyday with suspicion. :rotfl:

You guys had a jam packed day!

There is nothing better then meeting a cute guy at Disney World. And get to ride next to him?! Bonus!!!!!

OH MY GOSH, that guy's jacket is awesome. And I totally laughed at your character joke. ;)

I love the sky in your Sorcerer's Hat pictures. It's so pretty.

Go, Kristen! Sitting with the cute boy...High-five, girl! My friends are pretty sure I'm going to meet my future husband at WDW. I could definitely see that happening. I mean, one of the most important qualities I look for in a man is "willingness to go to WDW with me at least once a year, every year, for the rest of our lives." Hating WDW would be a dealbreaker.

Ugh...Creepers in the gym are never fun. Never. Especially when they awkwardly give a bunch of teenage girls workout tips. You guys were definitely smart for getting out of there ASAP.

I can't believe you're already going to be starting your last full day! I never want this trip report to end! Can you just make up crazy WDW stories to tell me or something? :rotfl:

Sounds like yall had an awesome day at MGM! (It'll always be MGM in my heart ) LOL!

Tower of Terror is my favoriteeeeeeeeee <3

Hahaha it was cute. :goodvibes He was all chatty and I was like daydreaming about the day I meet my future husband in Disney World. It is GOING to happen. My husband better LOVE Disney. Otherwise, we simply cannot be together. No one comes between me and the Mouse. :rotfl2: He doesn't have to be a super Commando crazy freak like me, but he just has to love it and love going. :lmao:

Can you just make up crazy WDW stories to tell me or something? :rotfl:

Okay. Here goes. Once upon a time...Kara, Jess and I went to Disney World. We were chased by birds everywhere we went. So we hid on It's a Small World. But then the birds followed us in there and attacked all the dolls and the pink front buns and the platypi (is that the plural?) that were throwing eggs at us. So we felt bad so we escaped and went on the Mad Tea Party and the birds were afraid of the screeching noise at the end. So then we went to the Polynesian where they couldn't find us because we hid behind all those crazy Tiki men. Then once they flew away we went to Ohana and ate our little hearts out. Then we went to Hollywood Studios where we rode Rock n' Roller Coaster and we all sat with really cute boys who we all ended up marrying. I got proposed to by Cinderella's Wishing Well, Jess got proposed to by the fountain near Crystal Palace, and Kara got proposed to on Space Mountain, where he did NOT get down on one knee, but just shoved the ring in her face and told her how fabulous she was after. Then we all had our weddings and honeymoons in Disney World and we all lived happily ever after. The end. :wizard:

There. I just came up with that in like less than 3 minutes. :rotfl:
