Chapter 14 -"Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr Tom Morrow." Oh wait...
January 16th, 2011

So after our delicious lunch, we headed over to Space Mountain! Mother stayed behind while we rode.. it's a little too intense for her!

Thank goodness for Fastpasses! Our wait was not long at all!

We were on the right side track. (when you're looking from the line coming into the loading room) I personally think that one is better.

This was my first time on the newly refurbished version, and it seems a little faster and more intense to me now. I don't know if that's because I haven't been there in over a year, or if it really goes faster now. All I know is that it was fun.

Surprise! They take your picture now! I didn't know about that haha

Outside of Space Mountain, we found the best stand ever. They sell GIANT Dasani Water Bottles. I need these because I always drink so much water! Deer Face. I wonder if they're covered on the Dining Plan...?

We continued our adventures in Tomorrowland and went on the precious "Carousel of Progress." We all love that one. It's such a classic. And... I snuck some photos. Even though I wasn't supposed to haha

Rover is so cute!! He's my favorite.

After we went on Transit Authority.... oh wait. I'm sorry. It's called the PeopleMover now. And they have a new voiceover.

The past year before this trip I kind of was out of the Disney loop because I didn't have a trip planned for a while. So, I guess I missed the update that they redid one of my favorite rides.

I don't know why I'm so attached to Transit Authority, but I am. The voiceover just held a special place in my heart. And now it's all stupid. It's not classic anymore. The voiceover was the same from the time I first went on it in second grade until the time before this trip. That's like my whole entire life. And now it's different. Ahh what a let down.

Do not be deceived by my smile in this picture... In reality I wanted to cry.

But the good news is that I have the old voiceover on my iPod. Thank the Lord.

After our ride on the "PeopleMover," Vick, Kristen, and I went on Laugh Floor while mother went to get Peter Pan's Flight Fastpasses. The Buddy Boil Section was a different one than I was used to seeing. Unfortunately... I do not remember what it was. I know that it wasn't the mind reading one, though. That's my usual.

Oh and Roz is my favorite. I like to talk like her. "I'm watching, ALWAYSS watching!" Roz is a DEFINITE frump.

We headed to Main Street next. I got a 40th Anniversary Hoodie and a Castle Fleece throw that is really pretty!

While I was in there, Mother saw the Dapper Dans! I love them!

We left Magic Kingdom after shopping and headed back to the room.

I was exhausted because I was constantly on the go since we got to Disney, so I took a nap from about 3 o'clock till like 5:10. Kristen was disappointed, as her motto is "No Sleeping in Disney!" However, I made an exception for myself.

While I was taking a nap, Vick and Kristen went to Storm-along Bay and went swimming. They dug out the Bathrobes again and wore them down there. They swam around the whole pool twice, and played with the sand in the shallow section.

When they got out, they put towels on their heads and went to the "Ship Shape Health Club." Some guy told them that his daughter thought they were fancy, because of their towel head gear. haha

Vick lifted weights, Kristen watched, they went in the Jacuzzi, and went back to the room.

I woke up, and got ready to head back to Magic Kingdom. Kristen and Vick "fought" over the remote because Kristen wanted to watch Stacy and Vick wanted to change the channel. hahaha it was a very amusing argument. I was laughing.

I went down to the Club Level Lounge to see the appetizers and they were SO cute! They had Apples and Carmel and Peanut Butter and Jelly!

Even though we were headed to dinner soon, I had to have one. That roll was absolutely fantastic. It was so soft and delicious. I love bread.

I love the Carousel of Progress too! I can only ever get my mom to go on it with me though. Sometimes my dad, but not as often.

They did change the spiel though. Kind of dumb. I miss the old old spiel myself.

I was thinking the same thing about Ariel when I saw the picture of her. She does looks very beautiful & just like the real Ariel.
With some of the princesses, I wonder how in the world the person got the job because they look nothing like the princess.
Example: our Cinderella that we had when we ate at CRT looked NOTHING close to Cinderella

I know, right?! I always think that. I love when I find ones that actually look like the princesses. I really really reallyyy want to be a princess someday, so i always think that maybe they'll let me in because they were pretty lenient with some of these other girls

Why do you think the right side of Space Mountain is better? Are the tracks different? Is the queue on the right side shorter? I think we've only been on the left side in the past few years. I hope we haven't been missing out.

TTA was always called People Mover for my family since it's former name was WED (Walter E. Disney) WAY PEOPLE MOVER !!! How do you have the old one on your ipod??!!

I love how they take pics on SM now. I saw some people taking some real funny pics on it.
I have never been to 'Laugh Floor'. After reading TR's, I'm hating that we never went to it.

Chapter 15 - Crystal Palace
January 16th, 2011

So after our relaxing afternoon, we headed down to the bus stop to head back to the Magic Kingdom for our dinner reservation.

Unfortunately, the bus ride was very very bumpy, which resulted in Vickie feeling sick to her stomach. I think it also didn't help that she was facing the back of the bus. These factors contributed to some motion sickness, poor thing. That's not what you want to happen in Disney!

Nevertheless, we still went to our reservation. (Vick was such a trooper) I've never gone to Crystal Palace for dinner before. Our reservation was for around 7 o'clock... and I will never go here at this time again. It was a mad rush.

We had to wait a little while for our reservation, and it was just so crowded and overwhelming. It didn't help Vickie feel any better.

We asked the hostess if they had gingerale for Vickie, however they only had club soda. That didn't really help. That was not a very fun wait at all.

Here's Kristen and I waiting... At least we had a nice view of the castle?

Finally we got called and seated at our table. We were in the right side room (when you're looking from the entrance) right at the front corner when you immediately enter. This was not good table placement because you could not see when the characters were coming from the other room.

We went to go get our food, and of course Tigger stopped by while we were gone. Vickie was still at the table though so he gave her a hug to make her feel better.

Kristen and I were hungry so we went to get the food, which was really the one of the only highlights of this dining experience. It was a good buffet!

They are "Passion Fruit Tarts" that are available on the dessert portion of the buffet.

For myself, I specifically took note of how good the mashed potatoes were, and the strawberry cheesecake! Delicious!

And the lemons were good, too! Just kidding haha we were just being funny. We took this picture for our friend back home who has a weird obsession with lemons.

Unfortunately, not ONE character came to our table while we were eating! This caused a little bit of an inconvenience because the whole point of a character meal is to see the characters! And also, Wishes was starting! And this was our only chance to see it!

So, we went to watch them outside of the Crystal Palace entrance doors.

Mother texted me to come inside because Eeyore came to our table. Great timing...

Here is Mother's picture of Eeyore... she was stalling so we would have time to run back in

Ahh here we are!

Sadly, Kristen was too far away from us when we were outside... so we couldn't find her to tell her to come see Eeyore. And she was sad she missed him. wah.

Then Tigger showed up! Hooray! And Kristen made it inside in time to see him!

Then Winnie the Pooh was next!

And we flagged down Eeyore again, and right before we left our table, he came back just in time to take a picture with Kristen!

We missed a good chunk of Wishes, but oh well. We got three out of four of the characters. Sadly, we were still waiting on Piglet, and we completely finished with our meal a very long time before this point.

We let our waiter know about our little dilemma and were seated in the lobby to meet Piglet. The Cast Members hanging out near our bench were awesome. Their names were Jeff and Bob (who was the manager) and they were so nice to us. They apologized for the inconvenience and allowed us to wait until Piglet was available.

Finally we got to meet Piglet! What a crazy night.

So lesson learned: DO NOT GO TO CRYSTAL PALACE FOR DINNER! Especially prime dinner time (7 o'clock). Just think... it was January and the crowds were very low. Imagine a busy time of year. Ugh.. we're sticking with breakfast from now on.

Overview of Crystal Palace Dining Experience:
Food: Delicious Buffet 5/5
Service: Nice waiter (nothing memorable) and very nice manager/cast members. But VERY slow characters. 3.5/5
Overall Experience: With Vick being sick, bad and inconvenient table placement, and the characters not even coming around until way after the meal, we decided that Crystal Palace for dinner will probably not happen again. 3/5

And don't worry... that was our worst meal of the trip! It will get better!

Hello Jess dear. Great update! I look so angry in the pic with Tigger cause I was mad I missed Eeyore. But then Pooh cheered me up. BTW my food of the day is called a Passion Fruit Tart. And yes you were right about whose dessert/dinner plates were whose. I felt so bad for little Vick, but trying to watch Wishes while doing a character meal/buffet is just insanity. Never again for dinner there. I'm sticking with breakfast and maybe an off-time lunch if I'm really craving my food of the day again.
