The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses :) COMPLETE

another great update :goodvibes Goodbye Toontown :sad1: Loved the photos with Minnie and Mickey plushes how sweet :wizard:

Goodbye Toontown. I'll miss you. :sad1:
Great update though! I love that we took so many pictures to remember it by. :lovestruc And I LOVED when you almost plowed over that child on the playground. You guys should have seen it. HILARIOUS. :rotfl2: Because at that point Jess was a bit oblivious to the world. :dance3: Jess dear you should really put that section of the video on here when you find it on Wednesday. I'm sure all our DIS friends would LOVE to see it. :rotfl: Can't wait for more dear!

That sounds like a very confusing night, between the parade not taking place at nine, the guy wanting medical help and leaving, and the Tomorrowland Terrance Noodle place, which is one of Disney's greatest mysteries.

I never got to ride on the Barnstormer, but hopefully, it will still be around in some form after the refurbishment is done.

I know right?! It was quite complicated. But very amusing at the same time.
And aww well that's okay. It's fun... but there are better things to see in Disney. Check it out when it's refurbished :)

Aww..great update! It makes me sad that we didn't go in Dec. We ran through it real quick in Oct but that was mostly to get candy at MNSSHP haha. Oh well. I'm sure the new updates will be great but sad to see the rest go!

Thanks! And aww I know I almost JUST missed them closing it down and I would have been heartbroken if I couldn't have seen it one last time. The new stuff I'm sure is going to be AWESOME but yes, I am sad we're losing such cute parts of the Magic Kingdom go.

Hahaha it was so funny. How embarrassing. :rotfl: And aww yes IF i ever find them I will definitely upload them ALL. :( I am so sad. I hope to God the best but people can find them.

Love all of the Toontown pics. It will be sad when it's gone, but I'm also really excited about all of the changes that are coming.

Ah! I have two updates to catch up on. Here we go...

First of all, poor Vickie! It sucks that she wasn't able to enjoy the Magic Kingdom. :sad1:

I ate at the Noodle Station. Once. Like 5 or 6 years ago. I had the Beef and Broccoli. It was just ok. LOL. I don't think it's been open during any of my trips since then. Or, if it has been open, they haven't done that great of a job advertising it as so.

So we got on the Barnstormer. And then we got off.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I literally cannot stop laughing at this. It's so true.

I love Mickey and Minnie's houses. While reading this, I realized that I'm gonna miss them a lot more than I originally thought. I mean, I'm all about progress and building new stuff and all that, but still. Those houses were a big part of my childhood, so it's sad to say goodbye.

Minnie has "cheesonaise" in her fridge...Why is that not a real thing? I'm sure it'd be delicious with crackers. :upsidedow

Thank you! And I feel exactly the same way!

I know :( Poor little Vick. The last time I was sick in Disney I was 12 and it was probably one of the saddest things EVER.
And oh wow! A noodle station visitor. Fancy fancy. It's really unfortunate that the food is mediocre haha I wish it was like a hidden gem that you had to be lucky to find. Oh well. Hopeless dreams...
And HAHAHA I'm glad I could amuse you. I chuckled when I wrote that. I'm glad you appreciate my attempt at humor.
And aww I know :( I feel the same way.
And haha I think the equivalent to that would be probably similar to that cheese you squeeze out of the can. I like that one that says "The Big Cheese." I love the details in those houses. I'll miss them! :sad1:

Nice farewell to Toontown. I guess it's a little sad to see it gone, but I have really high hopes that the new Fantasyland is going to be so much cooler than Toontown. :cool1:

I hope that it lives up to all of our expectations as well :yay: I think it's going to be good. Toontown will always be a good memory!

Thank you so much for showing us your pictures of Toontown! It was a nice farewell for me and I'm going to show them to DD5 and DD2 later today. DD5 will definitely remember Toontown.

I'm sad to see the houses go. Sooo wish they could have (or will) incorporate them in another land or park.

Yes!!!! please show us that video! It sounds :rotfl2:

Chapter 18 - "THERE'S NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY!"
January 16th, 2011

After our Toontown Tour, we got a call from Mom and Vickie. Vick was feeling a tiny bit better so they left First Aid. We met up with them in Fantasyland.

dsc05324b.jpg

We went on Peter Pan's Flight and used our Fastpasses from earlier.

dsc05313q.jpg

Kristen's favorite part of "You Can Fly!" .... "COME ON NANA!"

dsc05314p.jpg

Then we went over to "It's a Small World." The sign was acting a little funky.

dsc05320p.jpg

But there was not a long line, so we went on!

dsc0686t.jpg

dsc0687z.jpg

What a nice smooth ride... up until the very end. You never notice how bumpy the loading dock is until you have a sick person on board with you. Poor little Vick didn't like that part.

So after that thrill, Mother and Vickie decided to go back to the room so Vickie could try and fully recover for tomorrow.

But for Kristen and me, the night had barely begun! The two biggest disney-obsessed frumps were left with the Magic Kingdom at their fingertips until two in the morning. Yeah, we couldn't be happier.

So what did we do? We did the most mature thing we could think of.... we rode the Carrousel!

dsc05327j.jpg

And we ran around scouring the entire ride for Cinderella's Horse - which is the one with the gold bow on the tail.

We found it! Kristen was happy and that was her chosen horse!

dsc05325d.jpg

Next up was Snow White's Scary Adventures!

dsc05336k.jpg

And then we headed over to PhilharMagic.... but it was closed! ): We were so sad because this would have been such a great frump attraction to experience together. However, it was closed for a conference that would take place a few days later to discuss the Fantasyland Expansion. (where they actually announced the closing of Snow White's Scary Adventures. How sad!)

We left the world of Fantasy and ended up in Adventureland. I think you can see where this is going...

dsc05339w.jpg

We got a Dole Whip Float!! Awe yeah, Dole Whip, yeah. It was DELICIOUS.

dsc05340vk.jpg

We sat at a nice little table near the Magic Carpets and enjoyed our piece of paradise. There was hardly anyone in the park and it was such an enjoyable late night Magic Kingdom treat. Yay for Dole Whips!

Then we went on the Magic Carpets of Aladdin... because there was no line! Hooray! I love my Aladdin (:

dsc05351s.jpg

Then we headed over to Frontierland and went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad two times. It started raining a little bit, but just a sprinkle. Nothing to slow us down or anything.

While we were on the ride, we saw smoke off in the distance. It was weird! I don't know where it came from.

We also walked by Splash Mountain so we could mope some more about it being closed. Wahh we were so sad!

dsc05355q.jpg

Our next stop was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and this was our first time experiencing the new queue area! I have to say, we were very impressed. That was a great addition!

dsc05372ow.jpg

dsc05356t.jpg

And the ride was cute, as usual.

dsc05359a.jpg

dsc05360i.jpg

dsc05368z.jpg

Then we went on the Mad Tea Party and rode in the green cup! When Kristen was in Disney in July, Alice told her that the green cups spin the fastest! We were going at high speeds, so I bet she was right!

dsc05374g.jpg
dsc05373w.jpg

We walked to Tomorrowland and while passing the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, these two young guy cast members saw we were recording video. They were like "hey, wanna get a really good shot for your video?" I was like "...sure!" So they said, "okay start filming.... now!" So, I recorded and they were like "HEY! GUESS WHAT!? YOU'RE IN DISNEY!!" hahaha it was really precious.

One of us said.. "I feel like I get hit on in Disney." LOL

Then we rode Astro Orbiter! And we could still see the smoke up there that we saw at Thunder Mountain!

Our word of advice... If you're "pooh-sized," don't ride Astro Orbiter. It is a tight squeeze!!

Buzz Lightyear was next! We used our Fastpasses from earlier but... there was no line. HAHA oh. You can tell it was getting late.

dsc05378r.jpg

We started heading towards Main Street because Kristen was getting a little sleepy. Even though her motto is "THERE'S NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY!" evening extra magic hours can tire anyone out.

img2528x.jpg

Considering we were in "The Music Man," we finally recognized the songs that Disney plays on Main Street USA from that musical. We heard "Gary Indiana" and "Iowa Stubborn," which was stuck in our heads all night. So we sang them. Everytime I would say "OOOOOHHH there's nothin' halfway, about the Iowa to treat you..." Kristen would be like "STOPPP! It's stuck in my head!!" oh, the memories...

So anyway, we went in the Main Street Bakery and got ourselves a water and a chocolate crossaint. Yummy!

dsc05381g.jpg

I'm tellin' ya, though... one day I will have enough courage to conquer one of those cinnamon loafs. I'm still too scared.

We sat at the little "bar like" area at the back of the room and I caught up on my trip journal.

dsc05382g.jpg

Kristen was basically falling asleep while I was writing.

So, we gathered up enough energy to walk through the shops on Main Street and headed to the bus stops. A Yacht Club bus pulled up within 5 minutes and we were on our way home! We got those two seats right up in front behind the bus driver.

On the bus, the music they were playing was really nice. So I was like "wow, this music is so relaxing." Literally right after I said that... "HELLO EVERYONE! WE ARE TRAVELING TO DISNEY'S YACHT AND BEACH CLUB RESORT!!" well, hello there automated screaming disney bus. you sure do have a lot of energy at 2 in the morning.

So, Kristen completely fell asleep on the way home, and I was half asleep. But we made it to the Yacht Club in a short amount of time! We could still see that smoke off in the distance we saw at the parks, but we never did find out where it came from. I hope nothing important was burning! I figure we would have heard about it by now.

So anyways, at that point, it was a little after 2 o'clock in the morning.

And I EASILY talked Kristen out of doing rope drop the next morning. ;)

So we went up to our room and went to sleep!

That's too bad that Vicki wasn't feeling upto staying for the evening, hopefully she felt better the next day.

I love EMh at the MK, it's always so fun being able to stay in the park that late, and you guys sure got a lot accomplished.

I have the exact same camera as you, I love how compact it is and yet still takes great pics

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Glad you had a fun EMH night :) Some of my best Disney Experiences have been during EMH :) One time we were at MK during EMH and we were on Big Thunder Mountian and there was like noone in line. We went on it three times in a row and all of them were practically walk-ons. After the third time we pulled up to the unloading area and the cast member working the ride there asked everyone if they wanted to stay on and ride it again, so of course we said yes! It was soooooo much fun! We also had a super scary CM during Haunted mansion during one of our trips and that was another highlight of our trip. My last highlight I will mention (even though I have many more) is one time we were at EPCOT and we got to explore the entire world showcase with very little amounts of crowds, everyone was very friendly there! :yay: Sorry to hear Vickie wasn't feeling well, being sick in Disney sucks sooooo much! :sad1: Hope she felt better the next day!

Your EMH post makes me so excited for ours!!!!!!!

And if I find it I will put it up! But I unfortunately lost all of my videos that I edited from the trip.. so I have to make them over again :sad2: One day i'll finish them.

And yes, she did :) Thank goodness!

Kristen - love that you themed your clothing for the Crystal Palace.
Jess - great shot of you and your mom in front of the castle! (I might need to pick up the 40th anniversary sweatshirt!)
Glad that Vicki felt well enough to enjoy some of MK!

Kristen - love that you themed your clothing for the Crystal Palace.

Thanks for noticing!!! :thumbsup2 I was hoping someone would! :) It's funny because Pooh noticed too! He pointed to my shirt and got really excited and gave me a hug. :goodvibes It was really precious. I think I also theme my outfit for a certain monorail journey later in the trip...can't wait for that update!!!popcorn::

Great update again.

I know exactly what you mean about staying for evening EMH. They're so much fun, but once you get on the bus back to your resort, it's all over from there!

great update!!!

You guys did a ton of things for PM EMH. It's great being able to do the late EMH since you are able to hop from ride to ride. I would be sad if SM was closed too!!!
