The Plus Side Of Not Having Characters At LTT...

I noticed you are going to WDW in December 2009, so will I! When are you planning on going? Are you a DVC owner or are you renting points?

SORRY FOR BEING OFF TOPIC!

Now I'm sorry for being off topic, but I just had to say I love your signature picture!! That's great! :goodvibes

I'm unhappy only because they probably won't lower the price of the meal. I don't want to pay for characters when they aren't there.

All of the other reasons will be irrelevant to us, if they don't change the menu. The atmosphere during MNSSHP, including the servers & characters dressed for Halloween, is the only thing that will get us in there. We certainly wouldn't go for the food as it is now.

Just curious besides Crystal Palace (with Winnie the Pooh and Friends) and LTT (with Goofy and Friends) what other character meals are offered at the Magic Kingdom? I find it odd that the Magic Kingdom won't have a character meal with Mickey Mouse. I answered part of my own question - CRT has the princesses.

I will not miss the characters either! My DS12 & DD18 prefer no characters & we only chose LTT for the family style meal & location. DD is a picky eater & I don't think she would want cheeseburgers & chicken strips for 10 straight days! :scared1: Definitely not worth the price without characters though...

we've always gone to LTT at lunch to specifically avoid the characters (oh, and for the crabcakes and turkey dinner!)

I am SO glad this will no longer be a character venue. LTT is one of our favorite places to eat. We done the dinner a number of times and used to like the characters, but it was just too loud (kids & wood floors) and crowded (not enough room between tables, especially with the characters).

The dinner Pilgrim's Feast was our fave, but the past couple of trips we've learned to live with the scaled down lunch menu simply to avoid the issues outlined above.

Just wish they were making this change in time for our Dec. 2008 trip. :(

The plus side to me is that now I never have to eat there again :lmao:

The only reason we went was b/c it's a character meal with good character interaction- the food there is terrible.

Yeah, the reason we ate here was only for the characters. The food wasn't the worst - I actually preferred it to the buffets which can be dried out and cold - but no way is this worth the $$ w/o characters. When we tried to make this adr for 1/5, the cm said the price wil stay the same, but not sure the food will (subject to change). My dd's favorite character is Minnie, so the only other meal I think she's at is BC, which is breakfast, which we normally won't do, preferring early am touring.....oh well.......
