1st off I am not on DDP so DDP is not a point in the decision.
Has anyone ate here? How did you like it? Was there a good view of Wishes from the restaruant?
I am looking at a 6:20 ADR on a 8pm parade and wishes night, with the thought we could eat and walk right outside to watch the Parade and Wishes.

The Plaza is one of my and DH's must do's every trip. We do the dining plan and after all the heavier meals we eat, it is a nice change of pace. We've had just about every sandwich available and have never had a bad meal. The desserts...well, all I can say is :worship:

We've never eaten there during Wishes so I can't help on that.

I've been to Plaza twice. The food is good, but nothing great. I especially like the chicken sandwich with ham. Plaza is SMALL, so it is cramped and loud in there. As for the desserts, I've never had one, but it's just Edy's ice cream which you can buy anywhere in the US. It shares the dessert menu with the ice cream parlor next door.

There are a limited number of window seats in Plaza and I think the view is somewhat obstructed. You can see the castle great, but above it, not so much. My recommendation would be to eat there before Wishes, then walk outside and get a spot on Main St or by tomorrowland.

We had lunch there one trip and found it to be a nice break from the craziness of the parks, buffets, character meals, etc. It was nice to "get away", still inside MK.

We love the Plaza, but I can't imagine you can really see much of the fireworks from inside the restaurant, through the windows and any other obstructions outside. Maybe at a few tables along the windows. Let's just say it's not known as a fireworks viewing spot.

i booked it for about 2 hours before the night time parade. I may cancel this and book Wishes dessert party instead, when those dates are open for booking.

NOTE: The eatery is mainly a salad and sandwich shop,
and most would not consider it a real sit-down restaurant.
As a sandwich shop, it is well above average with consistent
quality. As a sit-down eatery, it is far below average.

I like your "note" Rusty. I don't necessarily agree with your letter grades, I would give higher, but I agree with your assessment of what type of place it is.

We ate here for our last meal in the world last July. We were seated inear one of the windows but could see wishes when we moved the curtians. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly.

I agree Vicki. We eat at the Plaza every trip. We tend to eat mostly TS meals, and this is a nice change of pace without having to do counter service. We have never had a bad meal here, and have been there countless times.

It is not a great spot to watch Wishes.

The Plaza is one of our favorites. It is a pretty restaurant, and is a great place to rest and enjoy a wonderful sandwich. Everything is so fresh and the portions are large! We ate at many places on our trip and the Plaza is one of the few we would definitely return to.

I think it will suit us. Since we are not doing the DDP this trip I think The Plaza will be a great alternative to regular CS. The sandwhiches sound great and milkshakes will be a hit I am sure.
Howeve if I can get a Wishes Dessert Party reservation I will cancel The Plaza and try it a diferent day.
