After emerging from the Aztec pyramid, we headed back into FutureWorld.
Boy these traffic signs are confusing
But it led us straight to the International Space Training Center.
Remember, while DS and I visited here this morning, Princess and X were new to this facility.
DS and I headed off for another mission while Mom took the kids to the Space Base.
X wasted no time exploring the facility.
He ran in and began the launch sequence.
Does Mars make me look fat?
But as you can see, they had a blast.
In fact, it was really tough to get them to leave.
When DS returned, he invented a game and got the Capells as well as several other children to play.
Throughout the game, X was being adorable climbing through the hamster tunnels trying to keep up with his older siblings.
So I apologize now but I went a bit trigger happy
Finally!
Guess who got tuckered out.
Too bad he was faking and was back in the tubes seconds after this shot.
So while the kids continued to play, Mom and I snuck away to the Mission: Space Race.
Its a cute little game although extremely frustrating depending on who is on your team.
One group flips switches in order to generate a colored ship piece which then gets sent to the game board.
Another group has to take that piece and place it into the broken piece of the ship.
The faster the ship is fixed, the faster it goes.
And there are two teams racing their way back from Mars.
Yes, this is how Disney explains how you get back from the edge of the crevice that the ride leaves you on.
So, Mom and I flew through our mission only to watch our group up front fumble and drop all the pieces we provided.
And we lost.
But thats ok, we have our own astronauts to lead us home!
Mission:Space Cargo Bay is actually a fun gift shop.
Lots of Disney space-themed merchandise lines the walls including an entire Star Wars and Star Tours section as well as a Wall-E section.
And then, of course, my favorite gift shop statue
Followed by one of my favorite gift shop murals
Alas, our mission had ended.
And we needed some grub before embarking on some more adventures.
Where, oh where, in the great park that is Epcot could we find a decent meal?
Ah, the choices, the choices.
Any guesses?
