The "perfect" shoe?

Honestly, you're the only one who can decide what the perfect shoes are for you. Everyone's feet and preferences are different. Go shoe-shopping when your feet are tired-what feels good on your feet then will feel good on them when they are fresh. Make sure the shoes have adequate arch support.

For me the perfect shoe is the Teva Olowahu. I also like the Mush flip flop. They both have the mush bottom I just like the straps on the olowahu.
I spent years trying every sneaker and sandal known to man. I convinced that a flip flop could not possibly be good enough for my foot.
I was very wrong. the mush forms to your foot giving perfect support.

I wear extra-cushioned running shoes, even in the summer. They're well-ventilated so my feet don't get hot, and they're the only shoes that enable me to walk around in the parks for 12 hours without getting sore feet and tired legs!!! :cool1:

Everyone's feet are different--and different at different times of the day! *LOL*

My favourite Birks (can't wear them in the parks, though) are wonderful for my high arches and insteps, but my BFF has flat feet and they make her absolutely miserable! And we wear the same size shoes!

Due to injuries over the years, I'm stuck in full-support athletic shoes with orthotic inserts in the parks. My BFF wears flip-flops (yeah, the cheap ones) or Born shoes. Talk about extremes! *LOL*

I plan on wearing my New Balance tennis shoes because they are the only shoes that don't hurt my feet if I am standing for several hours. I think it is different for everyone. I wear a EE and have high arches, so what works for someone might not work for me. I can handle birks for short trips, but don't think I could make it in them at DW. I'd like to try the Teva's but they don't come wide enough. :headache:

I have severe plantar fasciitis and the only shoes that didn't kill me at disney were my Tevas Terra Fi sandals and crocs

I wore my Skechers sports! Very comfy. I can't walk around in flip flops all day, high archs in my feet make it painful, so i would DEFINITLEY go with sneakers. Mine are nothing special and I was fine.

I was just diagnosed with mild plantar fasciitis which my podiatrist thinks was brought on by wearing flip flops too often.

He said no crocs, no flip flops, no Tevas.

I normally wear Teva Hurricanes, Teva mush flip flops and my New Balance Tennis shoes.

Now I'm left with just my tennis shoes which I hate to wear during the day at Disney. My feet get too darn hot and I get grumpy. Oh the joy.

Have you tried something like this?? I am considering trying them although I doubt they will give me the same support as my regular tennis shoes. I have the motion control ones, and I don't think these styles come in that.
I figure maybe they'll be a little cooler. I wasn't a tennis shoe person until I decided to try one more time with the New Balance. I always found them to be really hot. One tip that I have found was to wear bamboo socks. I found some golden toe bamboo socks at Dillards and they make a big difference with my feet not getting as hot.
I highly recommend their dress shoes too. Aravon is made by New Balance. I have the Mia and they are far better than any other dress shoes I have found. They have the same soles as the tennis shoes from what I understand. My feet hurt after a few hours, but that is way better than my feet hurting after 10 minutes. I see they make sandals too, so those are next on my list. Hoping they'd be okay too. They come in the EE that I need to. Sorry for the long rave. It is just exciting to have found shoes that have improved my quality of life.. hehe

I love my crocs! I never thought I would be one of those people, but they are the only shoe that doesn't kill me and it's okay if they get wet.

Lands End Treckers that are primarily mesh. They have the Mary Janes w/ Velcro and they have the bungee tie. My kids and I have the bungee tie. They are made so if they get we they dry fast. They can be worn in the sprinkers at Ariel's Grotto or DTD. You can wear socks w/ them if you must. I measured my kids feet by marking the big toe and heel. I then measured the markings and went by what size was listed and they are a perfect fit w/ a tad bit to grow. They are about $25. Adults are more. I have found you can't go wrong w/ Lands End. My husband is a Croc or the Payless verson fan but they kill my feet and my kids complain of leg aches if they wear them. They have wore just plane sandals before and complained of leg aches. They did really well w/ tennis shoes but feet got hot and if they got wet they complained. The Lands End shoes are the best we have found for them. I typically wear tennis shoes. Crocs, slides, and sandals hurt my feet but the Treckers are great. I got hooked on Lands End because of their Treckers and now I am for rain jackets and kids clearance. Good luck w/ picking shoes.

What about something like the Tevas Tera Fi sandals..I have severe PF and my podiatrist and Orthopedist both said they were fine as long as I had good heel cushion and arch support
