(gotta love OCD planning :rotfl: )

Anyway, so far the plan is to be on the EBRC Aug 17, 2008. I'm thinking I might like to do something special for DH and DD. If this were a FL based cruise I'd call Shirley (The Perfect Gift) in a heartbeat. But this isn't FL based  so I need a California equivalent to the Perfect Gift ... anyone out there have recommendations???

I went on the 2005 Mexican Riviera cruises and there was no Shirley equivalent in L.A. If I can ever find my 2005 cruise binder, I'll see what other suggestions there were.

I looked for one in 2005 and never found one! Making sure I subscribe to this thread in case you find one. :goodvibes

I live near the port in L.A. and will be on the Wonder June 29.

Maybe I can help.

What are you looking for? I dont know what Perfect Gift is.

Tom

Tom,

The Perfect Gift is a gift/florist shop in Cape Canaveral. Shirley (owner) does customized gift baskets and delivers them to the ships in Port Canaveral. She's all that and a bag o' chips! :thumbsup2

So in California we're looking for a gift shop/florist that delivers to the cruise ships in San Pedro .. and if they do customized gift baskets that's even better.

OK

I will check it out. I have some contact with the firms that run the port there and can see if there are any regular firms who do that kind of thing here. I will let you know!

Hey Shirley.. Can you just ship to the port for the 2008 LA cruises?

I'm in So Cal also and I don't know of any company that specializes in cruise baskets in our area, but my sister in law does really cool themed gift baskets, I am sure she could whip something up (between her creative skills and my Disney obsession I think we could get something going!)
Let me check with her and see if she is interested
...of course we aren't Shirley-but we could be the West Coast fill in!

Tom:

Thank you so much for helping us! I am really eager to know this information too! Has anyone asked Shirley if she has any contacts out here? Maybe they can give her a percentage :) :thumbsup2 :cool1:

HAPPY AT DISNEY! We are on the 6/29 too! I started a Meet thread... I was just so excited, I couldn't help it! ;)

P.S. Tom, I see you are also on our cruise........

I wish I could help on this one once again - I remember I did a lot of research and it wasn't finding someone as hard as it was the very high delivery fees to the ships and so many didn't have port and truck badges and just didn't want to make such a huge investment for such a short period. I understand the delivery charges will be up to $25.00 by vendor's going to the ships which will include the $15.00 to DCL. Wish I could have been more help.
Always
Shirley

Ack! Shirley - if we ordered something from you, what would the SHIPPING costs to the ship in LA be? Of course I know there's a whole timing thing, making sure it arrives by Saturday (for a ship departure date on Sunday), and of course we couldn't include anything perishable, etc. etc. etc.

Joanie, I can tell you where NOT to stay ;) We had some serious issues with the Holiday Inn San Pedro ... won't stay there again.

I'm sure Tom can give some good suggestions, otherwise I'll check in with our cousin who lives in San Pedro.

Right now these are my recommendations:

Crowne Plaza LA Harbor Hotel (used to be a Sheraton)
Doubletree Hotel San Pedro

I'd normally recommend the Hilton, but it's the furthest from the cruise terminals.
