Wow . Do people not realize that stuff like this has a lasting effect on children. What were they thinking? Obviously by using the Easter Bunny it's going to draw children. Who else believes the Bunny exists? IMO, a 4 yo does not need to know the specifics of the crucifixion. It's enough for them to be told that some bad people hurt Jesus really badly and he's in heaven.

DH sent that to me earlier in the day - I was shocked!

How anyone can think that's an acceptable way to teach small children anything is beyond me. My poor DS would be a wreck, he's such a sensitive little guy that he wouldn't be able to take it.

This is what makes me so angry! Christians wonder why non-Christians sometimes question our faith! Its because of whackos like this!! ( IMHO) and the rest of people who use Gods platforms for their own agenda! I dont know if its just good intentions gone bad or getting an idea and going hog wild with it but I sure wouldnt want my kids to see anything like that!!

It's too bad that garbage such as what these church leaders put on in their play is supported by people and their money.

But, each to their own. We do have freedom of religion in this country, of course.

I went to church a lot when I was growing up, and they were always campaigning to get more "youth" into the congregation.
Maybe the strategy has changed, but that's not very conducive to creating the "love" the faith is based on.
