Well, we took a vote in my house. Normally, my vote counts for however many I need to get what I want ;) , but not this time.

My three kids (12, 10, 8) voted unanymously to drop our plans for WDW this summer in favor of UO! I looked at DH with my mouth open, and he just shrugged. He wouldn't go so far as to vote with them, but he sure didn't say anything!

So, since I always get what I want :teeth: , we're doing UO at the AP rate at RPR!!! The week before that, DH and I will visit WDW alone for a few days so I'll satisfy my personal Jones.

I really wish they would have told me this before I bought 10-day premium passes for WDW!!! Oh well, they'll get used eventually. Off to buy (significantly cheaper!!) UO tix and AP! :thumbsup2

You have very intelligent children :teeth:

Glad you get to spend some time at WDW too, it is a great place too.

Have a great vacation!!

Same vote went down in my household! We have been doing disney every year since I was two (i am now 30). The past few years it has been Universal all the way. This past year we had three additions to the family - two nephews and a niece and two sil's. The vote was still for Universal. A lot did have to do with ticket prices though! Glad to hear that you will get some disney magic in!

We think Disney is great, but much prefer UO/IOA.
DS8 and DD14 just love riding their favorite rides over and over again, and since we stay onsite, we can do that.

This last vacation had only one day at Disney and four at UO/IOA.

The time before that we did not go to Disney at all.

Our first family trip Disney was the main focus, but as a whim I added a UO day and and IOA day that trip and we were hooked.....

Same here. We adore Disney, as you can see by the signature, but we actually scheduled US/IOA for this summer, last week to be exact. Then, even though DH blocked off the days he was still scheduled to work :( . Oh well, we rescheduled the trip for October, sure to be cooler then. Then, we started talking and I'm ordering MNSSHP tickets so we can get a mini Disney fix too :)

If we could go in Oct, I wouldn't miss MNSSHP, either. We haven't been, but LOVE MVMCP!!! Even with the ages my kids are, I think the UO/IOA Halloween alternative sounds too intense---or maybe it's too intense for me!! :rolleyes1

I just don't understand any "bashing" thread! All of the theme parks are awesome and have something different to offer. I have no problem with posting problems or constructive criticisms---I don't even have a problem with "it's just not good for my family"---but just being nasty??? I don't get it.

Half-full trumps cranky any day of the week!!!

We did MNSSHP two years ago, it's the greatest! We were scheduled for last October and my dad passed away unexpectedly the day before we were to check in at CR. We rescheduled (Disney was wonderful about it, even refunded our HP tickets  ) and went in November. Actaully were there for Super Soap, which was a hoot for me, misery for DH, due to the MGM crowds. We love Orlando in the fall, the temperatures are just right.

Just got back form 6 nights/5 days at RPR and my kids LOVED USO and IOA over Disney! For the last three years we went to DW on vacation and decided to try USO and it is our favorite now!
