The Oogie Boogie Bash 2022 Thread (ALL DATES SOLD OUT)

OK bit of a random question here.

We are going to one of the OBB parties in September.

The plan is to have dinner (in the park) during the mix in time, prior to the party starting.

What time should we book dinner for. Does booking dinner at Carthay Lounge at say 5:00pm give us time to get wherever we need to be before the party commences at 6pm?

We'll be going to the D23 night OBB. This will be our first OBB and have done MNSSHP a few times in Magic Kingdom. How do the 2 parties differ? Anyone have an idea of when they'll start making announcements for the party? I'm a planner LOL

I think 5 is too late if you want to start doing party stuff at 6. Last year we were in line for Oogie Boogie’s treat trail by about 5:45, and we weren’t the first in line.

We did an early dinner at lamplight last year at 4pm so we didn’t have to rush through dinner and were done before 6pm.

The two parties are pretty different. We have interactive treat trails and you get more candy at each trail. Our trails have at least 3-5 stations if not more where you get candy and sometimes other items. The parade is sorta similar. We have villains grove which is a walk through with projections at redwood creek challenge trail.

You can start meeting characters that are out for the party and the treat trails.

And if you were there all day, you can go find the CMs with the party credentials, and get yours, so they don't cull you with the non-party people.

The foodie guide for MNSSHP came out yesterday ~10 days before their first party.. maybe we'll start seeing some information towards the beginning of next month?

I expected immersive treat trail announcements by now. Especially since they did that teaser trailer almost a month ago.

Or you can ride Guardians 4 times in a row while they are escorting all the non-party guests out. Lol
So if non party guests are in line at 6:05 they get weeded out? My kids will want to maximize ride time but I figured it would take awhile for the lines to die down

They most likely would not be allowed in line if they arrive right at 6. Anything after is a no

Last year my boys got in line for Grizzly River Run right at 5:50 on a party day. They were turned away by a cast member since they were non-party guests.

Yes. They do it very quick and efficiently. Last year we did one treat trail right at 6 and then went straight to Guardians and rode it all those times in a row.
