The only way to have a friend is to be one." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'm sure you did great Lyzziesmom! I'm also sure Lyzzie will be thrilled with her new chore! ;)

As I expected, the money wasn't in my account but I did call and file a claim.

Oh Nicole I'm so sorry. I hope it wasn't too much money and that you get it back very quickly. What a pain.

Good Morning!

Nicole, I am so that the bank screwed up. I hope they fix it ASAP!

Lyzziesmom, I hope they are able to resolve the unemployment soon; it's unfair that you have to go through all of that.

I was up at 5:22 this morning. Spencer woke up, so I figured I might as well try to get Le Cellier and I did! :woohoo: Now, if I can just get Chef Mickeys...

Spencer had a doctors appointment this morning. He now weighs 25lbs (we all thought it would be more) and is 32 1/2". He is also getting another molar, so he has not been too happy.

People have been setting off firecrackers all day. It's especially bad now, at night. Those morons are going to ruin my night. I'm afraid it will wake up Emma and she'll be scared & want to sleep in my bed. She is in the middle of her "clean-out" and I really do not want her in my bed. Why can't people just wait until the 4th?

Amber- I'm happy you were able to get Le Cellier!

Lyzziesmom- Wow, people celebrate early where you are! I hope Emma doesn't get scared.

I have my physical in 2 weeks for JetBlue. I didn't work out as much as I should have this week. I'll keep on although I'm not sure if it'll make much of a difference in such a short amount of time.

What are everyone's plans for the 4th? In the morning Steven and I are taking our nephew to see Ice Age and after that we're going to Austin for the weekend.

Nicole, I'd think that in 2 weeks you should be able to build up some strength, even if it's just for the short term. Good luck!

We don't really have any plans for the 4th. I work in the afternoon but get off early enough to go to the fireworks, but it really depends on how Emma's clean-out is going. So far she has been ok -- no accidents. Today is her 2nd & last day of taking 4x the adult dose of Miralax, and the effects should last a few more days. I am hoping she will be able to leave the house without incident tomorrow so we can go to the fireworks. We'll just have to get a spot right next to the port-a-potties! My mom bought the girls really cute shirts and "USA" gem-tattoos for the 4th. If we can't go, I think we have a few fireworks left from a couple years ago that we can do in the backyard, but they aren't exactly allowed.

I just saw this video, I wonder if it's real? It's a marriage proposal at DL. I'm all for a guy who loves Disney but holy crap, I would be SO embarrassed.

Lyzziesmom- How is Emma doing? Do her swimming lessons start today? That video looks so fake! I would be embarrassed too.

On the way back from Austin, Steven's truck was sluggish and now it's in the shop......again. Last week he had to get a new AC and spent a small fortune on that. :headache:

The girls swimming lessons did start today. They went great! We found some old swim diapers from a couple years ago and they still fit Emma so I made her wear one just in case -- she didn't need it. :) I'm actually surprised the "clean-out" wasn't bad at all, she didn't have any accidents although she did "go" a lot. I wonder if it even worked. We have a follow-up with her GI doc later this month so we will find out. Her blood test results all came back normal so that's good news, but it's like we are back to square one. They still think the cause is all mental with her, and I tend to disagree but what do I know? I'm just the mom.

How was everyone's 4th? The fireworks here were great but the festivities were really toned down from previous years. All the activities were gone and there was just music and lots of food vendors. Eh. It was crowded and took forEVER to get out of the parking lot - almost an hour before we could even back out. It was worse than leaving the MK after Wishes!! But we had a good time.

We are waiting for Lyzzie's friend to pick her up & go to the pool, and Emma & I will go to the library and grocery shopping while she is gone. Exciting stuff, huh? :rotfl:

Hey guys!!!

Just wanted to check in!! We got in late yesterday afternoon and I was so exhausted we didn't do much for the rest of the day! It was such a fun trip but switching hotels and traveling so much was exhausting. We stayed in 5 different hotels in 5 nights and drove around 950 miles! Universal Studios was so much fun, and Portofino Bay was gorgeous. I'm really glad I went.

I am glad we went to Universal instead of Disney, after hearing about the Monorail accident. How horrible!! Actually, the crowds at Universal weren't even bad. It was soooo hot though! On Saturday morning we got to Universal right at 9am when they opened and we rode EVERY ride before noon!! I only didn't get to see the animal actors show. The express pass that you get for staying at one of their onsite hotels helped alot and is definitely worth it. We left to take a nap and when we came back it was packed, but we just sat and waited for the fireworks show (which wasn't worth it, but oh well) I even got to hear the Ojays perform! They sing that song 'Love Train'. That was really fun!

I have some PMs I have to catch up on, I'll do that tomorrow!! :)

Lyzziesmom, I'm glad Emma didn't have any accidents. I hope they are able to find out what is causing them.

Ashley, I'm happy you had a great time! Wow, you sure did move around alot! :faint: That's good that it wasn't that crowded!

Ashley, I like hotels but dang that's a lot of moving your stuff! Sounds tiring. Glad you had a good time at Universal -- waiting for pics!

We are getting ready to watch Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Then I need to finish my reading for school and head off to class. We should get the results of last week's test today, I almost don't want to know!

Lyzzie's glasses broke yesterday. We went to the eye dr. but they were closed from the holiday. Today we went back after swim lessons only to find out that she accidentally left her glasses at home! :headache: So we made her an appointment for an exam while we were there, and we will try again tomorrow to get them fixed. It's a good thing she can still see okay without them. I hope they can fix her glasses, not only did the screw fall out which made the lens fall out, but the metal part that the screw screws into is cracked.

The girls have the movie all ready, gotta run! Hope everyone's having a great week.

Hello ladies!!!!!

Chris and I got back late last night from Disney, and had an absolute BLAST! Weather was only waaaay hot one day, and we were able to relax and have fun during this trip. I'll fill you all in later, but for now we are back!

Welcome back Lin! Glad to hear you had such a good time. You are way braver than I am, going to WDW in July. :scared: Can't wait to hear more about it!

I got a B on my test!! Actually I got a C, but I caught errors on a few of the questions where the teacher's guide had the wrong answer, and one that she just plain marked wrong by accident. I think the teacher is sorry that she is teaching us to defend our opinions! So my grade was bumped up to a B. Yay! Now if only I can do as well on tomorrow's test... I still have a lot of studying to do. It's already time to register for the fall quarter, I feel like I've still just started but the classes are half over. Time sure is flying.

Happy Friday!! Any weekend plans?

Lyzzie goes to the eye dr. today. She broke her glasses on Monday and they popped her lenses into loaner frames while hers are getting re-ordered - the loaners are really cute! She has her regular exam today and is hoping her insurance covers new frames anyway so she can get ones like the loners.

That's about it for our plans. That and work work work!

Hey All!

Welcome back Lin! I saw your photos on FB and it looks like you had a great time!

Ashley, where are your pictures from Universal??? :)

Lyzziesmom, congrats on the test!!

Hope Lyzzie's exam went well.

Hi Nicole!!

Not much going on here. I did the online check in for WDW next week and I have tried getting a Chef Mickey's ADR for Oct, but haven't been successful.

It is STILL raining, so we have been stuck inside. Spencer hasn't minded too much, he has a pop up tent that he's been playing in.

Mike and I started a diet (of course we are allowed to break it at WDW, but that's it).

No plans for this weekend.

Good luck with your diet Amber. I don't think WDW food has any calories so that shouldn't be a problem!

I am making our final payment for our trip! :D My computer did a weird thing and redirected me to the main page after I hit submit payment so I hope it worked. My mom also paid me back today for the airfare, we have only booked one way so far (still waiting for return rates to go down) and I booked it on my Soutwest Visa to get the double reward points and earned a free flight. When I gave my mom the bill, I jokingly added the price for our flights (me & the girls) and said, "just in case you're feeling generous" and then laughed like a maniac. Well I guess she WAS feeling generous, because when she transferred the money to me she sent enough for all 5 of us!! I made sure she knew I was kidding and asked her if it was advance payment for thier return flights, but she said it was a gift. That was really nice and unexpected.

Lyzzie does need new glasses and we lucked out, at first the eye dr. said her insurance changed and the frame allowance is only $50 -- well of course they don't have any that cheap and the cheap places like WalMart don't take her insurance. I joked that she really liked her loaner frames and it turns out they are discontinued but still for sale and they were 100% covered by insurance! So she will get her new lenses put in those frames, and her replacement frames came in from her broken glasses so they put her old lenses back in those.

It's been a good day! I'm off to work -- hope my good luck streak continues. Have a great weekend!!

Hey guys!!!!

Lyzziesmom-- how generous of your Mom, paying for the airfare!! That is awesome. I can't wait to see you guys (and Amber!!) in Sept!! Only 61 days for me!! :cool1: I think I'm making my final payment this weekend. We want pics of Lyzzie in her new glasses! It is important to have glasses you really like, especially if you wear them everyday. I don't think I like mine much anymore, I might be glasses shopping soon.

Amber- good luck on your diet! If you don't mind me asking, what kind of diet are you guys doing?

Lin- LOVED the pictures of your trip on Facebook!! They were awesome!

Nicole- did they ever figure out what is wrong with Steven's truck?

Plans for the weekend? I have no idea right now. I can't believe we have a free weekend where nobody is in town and we aren't traveling! Tonight I went to Macy's and got some clothes and bras. They are having a big sale. I got a pair of capri's, 2 tank tops and 2 bras. Yesterday I was there and got 2 pairs of shorts I can wear in WDW. :yay: Enough shopping now, I am getting anxiety about spending the money.:rolleyes1

I'll post some pics from Universal. Surprisingly we didn't take any pictures with our camera- it is so heavy that we didn't feel like lugging it around, so we just used our phone, which has a pretty good (for a phone) camera in it.

Hi everyone!

Lyzziesmom- That's very sweet of your mom to pay for the airfare! That's great that the loaners were covered! I agree with Ashley, it's important to have glasses you like. Mine are really old and I only wear them before I go to bed. I don't like being seen out in public in them! (Okay, they aren't that bad!)

Ashley- Ooohh a sale! I might have to stop by Macy's. I remember you saying a long time ago that you liked the Vanilla Lime candle (at least I think it was that scent) at Yankee Candle. I don't know if you've seen it or not, but I went there a couple of days ago and they sell lip balm. I bought the strawberry one and my sister bought the cherry one and they are pretty good. I saw the Vanilla Lime lip balm and thought of you! They said that his truck needed new spark plugs.

Amber- Good luck on your diet!

Lin- I also saw your pics on FB and they were great!
