As promised the photos from our ill-fated trip:

On our last day we had breakfast in the Convention Centre which was actually lovely and peaceful (and had a polar bear...of course!)

BTM totally closed, but looking picturesque in the snow.

It was flippin cold! We drank so much hot chocolate...but for some reason decided this was the trip when we should go on the Mark Twain (need my head examining!!!) but it sure was pretty!!!!

I have to say with proper clothing and a few inside rides or attractions and it's pretty do-able even with young ones. We all had full length thermals, thermal socks, ski gloves, the kids had ski suits and (very useless) snowboots...not waterproof, what's that about??? I had proper leather walking boots which never leaked once (Teva brand if anyone's interested!)

Mind you...all that well prepared snow stuff and thermals were in our (lost) hold luggage and didn't get to us until 10pm the night before we left...at least we were warm and dry on our last day!!! (Gotta laugh or I'd cry...still!)

AS hubby said, the opportunity to see the parks covered in snow like that was priceless (and then I had to remind him that no, in fact it cost us about £700 to replace luggage essentials, stay in a nasty hotel near the airport and get back to England....... so perhaps priceless is the wrong word!!!)

It looked great...but sadly we saw very few characters as I guess it just wasn't safe for them to be out.
