We naturally woke early and i went for a dip in the pool in what was to be a regular occurence for the next 11 days, first in and last in at night. There was something quite satisfying about that , as i couldnt imagine any better way of being a million miles away from the daily routine of work, work, work. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast which is a great way to start as it leaves room for you to have lunch!! Many people have said how wal-mart is good for staples for your room, so we walked down to the one on turkey lake road to get some coke, water, crisps etc. to have in the room. 180 dollars later and half the stock of florida gators clothing in my trolley, we went back to finish the unpacking and to get acquainted with the staff and the hotel itself. We later walked up to dairy queen and decide to go there every day rather than pay the desserts prices in restaurants for the rest of the stay. It sounds penny-pinching, but what the heck, it saves money and we actually like the dairy queen products. In the evening we went to golden corrall where i unleashed hell on myself with their buffet. Leander shows far more sensible restraint than me!!!. Im a fan of cheap and cheerful dining but the standards over the 11 days were very good and ill give the total for i-drive without tip (i tipped cash at EVERY meal) and the week at disney separately. Our first ever rain-storm in 6 trips to orlando had been forecasted and boy it didnt disappoint, although wed made it back to our hotel in time . a great first day of "not being in work" and ill post again as soon as i can. Please bear with my letter-writing inadequacies
