Bret - I don't know how it works. I just wondered if you were given the option to "restart the clock" with the Premium AP or if you just paid the pro-rata balance for the upgrade difference on your existing DLR AP. If it is the pro-rata balance, then your end date will be the same as your current end date of the AP. If you have the option for a "restart the clock", it probably will be more money...but it does push you into the October 2013 period, if you were thinking of joining us for the DisMeet.

Okay, I now know what you are talking about. When I talked to the CM's about upgrading from the DL PAP to the Premier AP, I was hoping that my new expiration date would be the date of the upgrade. But I did found out that if I upgrade the PAP to the Premier, the expiration date of the original AP would still be the same as the PAP. One time in 2010 when I went to WDW during Spring Break, I didn't upgrade to the Premier which I should have done and would saved a lot of money on days at the park, parking, and merchandise during that trip. I am most likely going to upgrade my PAP to the Premier during my DL trip. Even though it is another $400+ to upgrade to the Premier, the savings of the parking, merchandise and food will help make it up later on.

I would love to go to the DisMeet in October 2013, but it will depend on what my schedule is like during that time.

Wow! What are you making? Will we hear about it on the WFD thread?

I'm hoping for food porn. It just depends. But my menu at this stage is:
  • Sambal prawns
  • Beef ribs in a soya/sugar sauce
  • Sweet and Sour Chicken
  • Stir Fry vegies

I'll serve it with rice.

I'm a bit worried about the beef ribs. They aren't as tender as I like but there's not much I can do right now.

I've finished making the sambal...just need to finish off closer to dinner with adding the prawns.

I need to work on the sweet and sour next and getting the rice ready.

All the vegies are chopped...but I need to put the sauce together so that I'm all prepared come stir fry time.

I made some vanilla cupcakes with butter frosting for DS' birthday and have some leftover in the fridge. I'll serve that for dessert/coffee. And I bought some cherries, raspberries and strawberries as well.

I'm contemplating making a self saucing chocolate pudding...but I'll check with my guests how they feel about having that as well. I suspect that the answer will be in the negative given the food I've got so far.

Happy belated birthday to PIO's DS.:bday:

I finally got to leave the hospital around 4PM yesterday. It was nice to get to sleep in my own bed and not have someone come in every hour or an IV machine beeping. Pain meds have me a little sleepy, but other than that I'm doing great. I'm a lightweight when it comes to pain meds so it doesn't take much to knock me out so I had a nice little nap this afternoon.

Thanks Angela.

It's always nice being home and in your own bed. Hope you get a good sleep and a fast recovery.

Alison - Not sure if you've seen this thread but stevenpensacola is asking about the Disney museum in SF.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=45688600#post45688600

If you have time, could you provide an opinion?

He had started asking questions about California on the CB and I pointed him to my SF thread and also advised him to go to the Disneyland section of the boards.

BTW - Thanks Usnuz and Skiingfast for providing input. I had said that he might find more people with knowledge of SF, LA and SD on this part of the boards. So I'm glad that you helped out in reinforcing this view.

I went to the WD Family Museum in SF a few years ago. It was amazing to see all those art works, props, awards, Lilly Belle Live Steamer engine and cars, etc.

Oh yea PiO, since I am now going to WDW in October I need an idea of what to call the TR.

I stopped in the museum, but did not tour. Hope your dinner goes well. Darn Kimmar she posted a very large you know what on the thread!

Perhaps you could drop in on that thread too and provide a view plus your input on the other cities as well. :thumbsup2

:lmao: I'm running back to the kitchen!!! Maybe the others can provide their ideas as well.

Is this your family's first visit to the park?

Bret - I love going to WDW the end of Oct/first of Nov, the humidity usually isn't too bad and we love going to the MNSSHP too. You'll have a great time.

I forgot to answer this one as well. Thank you for the tips at the end of October and November Angela. I am still working on a day for MNSSHP during my trip.

Hope you get better.

I will look on the thread and provide my views. I haven't been to the museum since it opened in 2009 and haven't been there since. I should go back one day when I am in SF. Even though I am only 2 hours away from SF.

Is this your family's first visit to the park?

My party will be me, my DB, DB GF, three uncle's and one aunt. This will be my DB GF first time to Florida and my uncle's and aunt first time since the 80s.

Had some thinking time whilst I was waiting to pick up DS from school:

  • Does the Headless Horseman meet Bret Skellington? An Inconceivable PTR to the World!
  • The CarsLand 2 Story: World Racing with yet more Family.
  • How an AP became a Premium: A World PTR.

Ok, yours are better:lmao:

I just read your TR....looks the second one with the CL reference isn't going to be useful. I wasn't sure if you were going to continue on the DLR thread or start a new one. Now that you've said that its going to be on the WDW forum, it may not be appropriate.
