Not sure yet--but I have some ground beef in the fridge, so something with that.

Oh Lauren - the roast in your mom's marinade/gravy is incredible! I guess I'll have to alternate between yours and Glynis's. They are both great, but totally different flavors going on. Thanks so much for the recipe! :thumbsup2

I am so glad you liked it Kathy. I talked to my sister yesterday about this recipe and she makes hers in the crockpot and says it comes great that way too...I think I will be making Glynis' later on this week as well...

Well, as I posted earlier, my DFi is away on business until Wed so it is just me and DS8...we overslept this morning and were hurrying around and I yelled at him a couple times :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: (DFi also decided to call 15 minutes before we were leaving for the bus)...I feel very bad that I yelled so I told him he could have whatever he wants for dinner...

I think he is leaning towards Chinese...we just had it but I love love love it!

Did I mention that DFi already has requested Lindsay's Crockpot Italian Chicken when he gets back??? He is not too happy with the food at the conference...he said last night they had some kind of cow jowls over salad...YUCK!

I know I talk to much! Sorry for the long post!

Have a great day!

I'm just going to marinate and grill chicken breasts and probably bake some tater tots. I'm running low on veggies, not enough of one kind so we'll have a little bit of peas, broccoli and corn.

Thanks for the bday wishes. :)

lucas ~ We'll be staying at POP in November too!

Tonight is a family get together at my SIL's house. We are going to meet and greet a nephew from Texas who is going abroad for a while. We're doing a pot luck. Everyone brings a main and a side. I'm making barbecue chicken wings for my main, and my side is an apple brickle dip with cut up apples and grapes. Can't wait to see what everyone else brings!

We want a full report on what everyone brought! :goodvibes

It finally got cold over here so DH wants stew for dinner. DD7 loves cornbread so I'll make some to go with it.

We're checking in on 11/8! We just booked it yesterday so it is a short notice kinda trip. Sometimes that is the best kind! :thumbsup2

Glynis, what is apple brickle? Sounds interesting--care to share your recipe?

Tonight I had ravioli with a quick tomato sauce and garlic bread. My dinners are not going to be interesting this week...DH is already at Disney (I talked to him while he watched what he could see of illuminations from his room tonight, lucky guy!), so I am using up what is left before heading down for our trip. Just three more days of work to slog through...

Tonight I am making nutty kitten chicken with my succotash and teriyaki noodles (recipe for first 2 are on the main page). My hubby is going to be n hog heaven! :)

WFD at your house?

Spaghetti here tonight. I swear, I could feed this to these people 6 days a week and they wouldn't complain. :thumbsup2 I think I'll make yeast rolls when I get home from work to go with it.

I say the same thing about the chicken I am making today. Indeed, it is yummy, but I just don't get what's so awesome about it. I stole the method from Rachael Ray and made it my own. My husband literally dances when I tell him that's what we're having.

Men :confused3:teeth:

I'm like that. I could eat pasta every day and not complain. Speaking of pasta, that is what is for dinner tonight...again! Just simple egg noodles with a butter and black pepper sauce, roasted asparagus, and eggplant sticks. Meanwhile, DH has an adr at Shulas tonight. Somehow I think he is going to like his dinner more than I am going to like mine!

Oven fried chicken here and some mashed potatoes and some broccoli.

Liamsaunt--how fun that your trip is so close! :cool1:

mermaid--my DH could also live on pasta--and the pathetic thing is, most times he would just rather have a jarred sauce heated up with his pasta, then me actually go to the trouble of making my own

Good morning everyone, tonite will be angel hair pasta with veal medallions, caeser salad and garlic bread.

Sure. It turned out really yummy!

Apple Brickle Dip

1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 C. packed brown sugar
1/4 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. English toffee bits
3 medium apples cut into chunks

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugars and vanilla. Fold in toffee bits. Serve with apples. Refrigerate leftovers.

That's all there is to it! It was really yummy! And a big hit!

Today I am making spaghettti and meatballs ,Garlic bread and spinach.

Well, I'm a bit put out with my in-laws! Apparently, pot luck means to them "run to the grocery store for a couple of bags of chips, and a bucket of chicken from the deli." I was the only one who made something for our get together last night. On the up side, my stuff was the first gone.

Tonight is Salsa Ravioli! I'm using a really mild salsa since my kids don't really like spicy. I'll make some garlic breadsticks and a big green salad on the side. Nice and easy!
