Salad with tomatoes, garbonzo beans, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, beets and lots of other vegetables. I'm also having garlic bread.

Wow! I wish I was at your house tonight.

The turkey burgers were pretty disappointing, so we just ate the mac and cheese and broccoli.

I'm not cooking in this heat, so we're having roast beef sandwiches, mustard potato salad and cole salw.

My family doesn't like the taste of turkey burgers, either, but I've learned to flavor them with other things. Add green onions, and water chestnuts to the burger and then baste them while they are grilling with teriyaki sauce. Even my pickiest eater will eat these.

You can also flavor the burger with taco seasoning and make taco burgers.

Add some salsa to it when you make meatloaf. It's all about experimentation with ground turkey.

I'm glad you had the mac and cheese to fall back on!

Our central air unit stopped sending air through today, so I am not cooking. The repair man came and removed the brand new expensive air filter that I purchased and my DH put in yesterday. It was supposed to rap more dust particles. Seems it also traps air flow. Now it works like a charm, but it is too hot to start, so fresh cucumbers and snadwiches for us.

I find the "fattier" turkey makes better burgers. The near fat free turkey is pretty much flavorless.

We're having a late dinner since DS had to work until 7:15. Dinner is baked potatoes, steak, asiago cheese bread, and either salad or peas. Guess I better go throw the last of it together. I'm getting hungry.

We are having leftover baked spaghetti w/ tomato basil bread tonight. Man, it was awesome!! Recipe is below.

WFD at your house??

1 package spaghetti (16 oz.)

1 ½ lbs. ground beef

1 medium onion chopped

½ cup chopped green pepper

1 can (10 ¾ oz.) cream of mushroom soup

1 can (10 ¾ oz.) tomato soup

1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

1 cup water

2 tbs. brown sugar

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. dried basil

1 tsp. dried oregano

½ tsp. dried marjoram

½ tsp. dried rosemary, crushed

1/8 tsp garlic salt

1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided

Break spaghetti in half and cook according to instructions. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook the beef, onion, and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the soups, tomato sauce, water, brown sugar and seasonings.

Drain spaghetti; stir in meat sauce. Add ½ cup of cheese. Transfer to a greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

We're having Roast Beef Poor Boys

Makes me drool just thinking about them.

We're having tilapia (my kids won't be too happy), spinach (oops...they won't be too happy about this either) and rice pilaf (well, at least that will make them happy!).
My children always complain when we have fish, but after they eat it they say "That was good!"
:confused3

Haven't posted in awhile, and seems I've missed a few good recipes! :goodvibes

I went thru the thread last night, but wasn't sure what we were having yet...I ended up fixing an herb roasted pork loin with homemade gravy, hash brown potatoes, and peas...

..not sure what's on for tonight, but that baked spaghetti recipe looks yummy!

Take out tonight! It's registering 89 degrees in my house right now. Way to hot to cook and too hot to grill.

We're either having Asian Noodle Bowl or that roast beef hash I was talking about the other day. DS just informed me he's going out to dinner with some of his buddies, so it'll just be the three of us. Maybe I'll make some pudding or ice cream. We don't eat a lot of milk products when he's around because he shouldn't have them. He's lactose intollerant.

I just made a nice stockpot of crawfish and corn chowder, it also has shrimp in it....yummy!:tinker:

Lindsay, I have a question about the baked spaghetti. Does the sauce end up tasting really sweet with the tomato soup and the brown sugar? I'm not a huge fan of really sweet spaghetti sauce, but this sounds so good. And I'm guessing there'd be no reason you couldn't make it up ahead and just pop it in the oven.

I'm making Santa Fe chicken (already seasoned chicken bought from Whole Foods) and Parmesean noodles.

It isn't sweet in the very least!! I was worried about this too and it tastes the complete opposite than I was expecting :) I told my husband there was 2 tbs. brown sugar in the sauce. He stopped eating, looked at me and said, "Seriously? I never would've known."

Teriyaki skirt steak, beef lo mein noodles, and a broccoli/carrot/cauliflower mix.

I think I'm in a rut. Seems like I keep posting the same things all the time. I'm going to have to take a look at the first page of this thread to get some recipe ideas.
