It is and it's "EASY"!:lmao:

Of course it is :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Kathy, This sounds totally YUUMMMO!!!! If I have all the ingredients, it will be dinner tonight! If not, I'm putting it in my recipe file titled:

The Queen of Easy's Royal Baked Chicken!!!!

:lmao::lmao::rotfl:

I wish you all could have seen my husband chasing kittens through our back yard last night. We now have 5 of the 8 treated and are trying to figure out how to catch the final 3. We are still hoping to find homes for everyone. Our local shelter is full and told Kenny they had to euthanize all animals brought in. Now considering this is the man who stopped traffic to get a baby deer out of the road, you can imagine there is no way he would deliver any of the animals into a death sentence.

What a great guy you have! Call some of your local vets. There are some near us who will take kittens when the shelters turned them down. I had called Protectors of Animals and they would not take them unless they had had all of their shots and were neutered, and suggested a vet who would discount. She just took them in and has a network to find homes.

Hi, everyone! Dinner tonight will be something with ground beef. Not sure what, though. It's going to depend on how hot my house gets. DH gets home in a couple of hours, so it will be nice to have him back.

Starting tomorrow we'll be camping, so I won't be posting until Monday (maybe Sunday night). Dinners at camp will include:

Enjoy your evening home with DH and have a great time on your camping trip. I see your DH is doing some cooking as well, you lucky girl!

Now wouldn't it have been funny if you ended up with some fancy schmancy music instrument with lessons and all! We could put ya in a cajun band once ya learned up some!:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao:

I am feeling better today too! Hooray!

Tomorrow I am taking the day off from work and going to the Cape with Laura and the kids. Maybe I will take a picture of the clam roll I am going to eat after the beach. Yum...clams! :)

Have a wonderful time, You need the rest that a day on the beach will give you :thumbsup2

Stephanie- I am glad that the sun is shining and that you are now frling like the weather :sunny:

I am off to have something to eat. DH and I took Kady to the lake so she could show off her new swimming skills so I am starving!

Well, my good mood was short lived. We did get to play outside and I got my burgers and dogs grilled--but then of course the rain started again. But what made me the madest was that at 6:30pm DH calls to say he's going out with people from work for dinner.:mad: Normally, I wouldn't mind, but he could've at least called earlier, I already had dinner plated and on the table waiting for him. Anyone have an extra freezer I could use???:rolleyes1

Oh Oh! Stephanie is thinking "freezer" That is not good.......

Kathy--thanks for the freezer offer. ;) I'm feeling a little better now, had a little cocktail and some key lime pie. Key lime pie is one of my "happy" things, it was nice to find a slice to indulge in tonight!

Tonight I grilled hot dogs and fried up sliced potatos. Total comfort food and it was goooooooooood.

(and cheap!)

Here are some photos of tonight's dinner--the lighting was funky for some reason, so sorry for that:

I have a question, do you guys prefer the photos as links, or would you rather I put them in the post? I am not sure what kind of computers you all have and I know it can be a real PITA to have photos in a post if you have a slower machine. Flickr does automatically resize, but I wanted to check what you thought before adding them to the message.

Let me know, and I will post tomorrow's clam roll accordingly! ;)

liamsaunt: The pictures are fine the way you have them in your post from last night. I enjoy looking at them! What is "haloumi"?
Have a good day all!:surfweb:

Tonight I am making jambasta with sun-dried tomato basil bread. Mmmm!

WFD at your house?

It's hard to eat key lime pie and be mad, of course the cocktail doesn't hurt either. I love key lime pie.

liamsaunt My goofy computer seems to like your pictures this way(linked in your post) Did you cook the rotisserie chicken your self? If so can you post the recipe. I'm looking for the rub they put on those chickens I love them.

There's not much a slice of key lime pie and a cocktail won't cure!:thumbsup2

Doesn't matter to my computer, I'll go with whatever everyone else wants as long as you keep posting!:cool1:

Today is KadysMom's birthday!!!!!!! :bday:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARISA !!!!:dance3: :dance3:

Tonight's dinner - Gretchen's YUMMY Brown Sugar Pork Chops, baked sweet potatoes and roasted asparagus!!!

Happy Birthday Marisa! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Tonight will be something with chicken, not sure what though.

Happy Birthday Marisa!

Nancy - Thank you so much for the cat adoption advice. I'm going to call some vets this morning. One of the therapists took a kitten home with her last night and said she would really like to take another today so the cats wouldn't be alone. So my menagerie has been cut to 6 kittens and 4 (sometimes 5) adults. We hope to get down to one cat. Now if Kenny would just decide which one he wants to keep. :sad2:

Kathy - love the Royal chicken recipe. It is definitely on the menu for next week. And my mandoline is Farberware too. It was a life safer on Mother's Day when I had to slice 5 pounds of potatoes. I couldn't believe how much time it saved. And I love that I can put it in the dishwasher.

Laura - The thought of Beck as your husband's personal Christmas shopper for you is so funny! What a great sister. My Dad used to have me pick out my Mom's gifts from him (from about the time I was 4!), thinking I would do a better job than he would. I shudder to think of the gifts my Mom received when I was young.

Stephanie - if the key lime pie and a drink doesn't work out, chocolate will usually do it for me, Godivas if the funk is really bad. ;)

Amy - I love hotdogs. :love: Served with chili, cheese and slaw is my absolute favorite. They are my secret guilty pleasure, but DH won't touch them, calling them "gut grenades". I usually make them when he is gone. :rolleyes1

Tonight's dinner is the leftover meatloaf muffins. Both kids were gone last night so we have a lot left over. I'm going to try to make Paula Deen's eclair cake tonight, but I won't know how it turns out until tomorrow night because you are supposed to refrigerate it for 24 hours before serving.

Hope everyone has a great day.
Gretchen

:dance3: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARISA! :dance3:

Nancy- It's good you finally got something over on one of the girls! Congrats!:lmao: And I guess my thoughts as to what's for dinner is..."Honey, it's your birthday what do you want?" pretty much covers it.:lmao:

Kathy- I forgot to tell you- in my shopping extravaganza(according to Rick) on Monday I found Sweet Baby Rays at Super Walmart in Harrahan and at Save A Center on Clearview. Both only had a couple flavors, but I was so suprised I told Rick. His comment was "So now we're shopping for them too?":headache: I love you honey, now shut up and push the cart like a good boy.

Sheryl- Last night on Throwdown with Bobby Flay they did Kentucky Hot Browns! As soon as I manage a low(er) fat version I'll make them here and invite you over...Heck all ya'll come! I'll show ya what comfort food was like where I grew up! (yep, I'm a NOLA transplant. Grew up in Louisville, KY)

Last night I was bad and had a huge steak:rolleyes1 but had baked sweet potatoes(plain) and steamed corn on the cob.

Tonight is pork chops someway with more steamed veggies.

Anyone know of something that looks like bacon and tastes like bacon without all the fat that's in bacon?

Have you tried turkey bacon. Louis Rich's brand is pretty good.

:lmao: I checked that Super Walmart during my hunt, I very seldom go to Harahan, but happened to be in the area, none to be found. You'd think all the Save A Centers would carry the same things - none on the West Bank.:confused3 I'm still checking every where I go!!

Gretchen- My DH is a farmboy and he id convinced that little animals grow better in pairs :thumbsup2

Lori-Rick is a brave man. My DH just looks at me funny ;). As to dinner, DD had no choice. I had some roasters I needed to cook so I have them ready to pop in the oven. They have a seasoning called Nantucket Blend that I generally use on turkey so they are going to be good. I plan on roasted potatoes, salad and some kind of veggie. As to dessert.....................we'll see. I might find something laying around that needs to be finished :rolleyes1

Becky- as long as you post pictures I will open them. I don't have any preference how you do it I just am hooked.
