Can you guys tell that I am DISing waiting for DF and DS to get done playing XBOX? DF bought another XBOX so they could play together on XBOX Live and now I am an XBOX widow...Boys will be boys!

Oh, thank you for validating me!!! DH thinks trout is one of the best tasting fish in the world, and I just can't stand it! You've made me feel so much better...thanks!

Count me in the anti-trout club too. In fact, the last time I had trout, I was with DSis. We made it, we hated it, and we chucked it. That didn't stop us from consuming quite a bit of wine, however, which led to an important life-lesson: While wine is considered a food by some, it should not be a substitute for food.

Tonight was a little crazy because I had DD at skating and DS at soccer practice, so I had a late, solo dinner. I just made a pizza.

The vindaloo last night was soooo good! Just a note,though, I just used 1/2 tsp of ground red pepper and it was plenty hot!

Tonight I'm gonna try the Kitty Chili! Nasty rainy weather again today--need some comfort food.

Hi All!

I'm a Rosa Regale lover!!! It is sooo good!

DS has a baseball game tonight so I will make something we can eat on the run...maybe throw some sausage, peppers and onions in the oven and some whole wheat pasta with EVOO and grated cheese as a side. When I make the sausage in the oven it creates alot of juice to put over the pasta...YUM!

Is that the stuff you guys are talking about? Can anyone explain what it tastes like? I'm not a big wine drinker (I like fruity tropical drinks), but I don't mind sweet white wines. I was thinking about getting a bottle (and some dark chocolate) for my mom for Mom's Day, but she also only likes sweet wines.


Last night we had bbq chicken breasts, tater tots, and baby peas. I'll have to come back later and post WFD tonight because I haven't figured it out yet.

DH was home sick yesterday & hogged the computer all day for work! How dare he!

And I missed 4 pages of funny funny stuff from my New Orleans Ladies! And Lauren who has officially joined the club! Lauren, with 4 bottles of Rosa, we could sit out on the stoop & have a good ole time!!

Glynis, I guess there is no chance you will give trout a try now! After your childhood trauma with trout & now the choking incident, I'm sure you are so done with trout!!!

I have to say again though, the speckled trout we get down here, must be a very different fish from what you girls are getting up north. It's a very mild, but firm white fleshed fish. It's my favorite fish!

Nancy & KadysMom, Kady is a real cutie too! It's nice to see her pic, after hearing about her for so long now!!!

Nancy, I should have listened to your suggestion on that leftover chicken/cheese mix. I had a total flop with the Florentine I made with it. Yuck, down the garbage disposal bad!!! Although DH ate it twice & said it was good, but I couldn't even swallow it. The mexican seasonings came through in it & it was just gross!!!

Sheryl - At this point I do think I'm done with trout. I figure there are plenty of other good fish out there that I do like, so I don't need the trout. However, if I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I'll be sure to try some of the trout you're talking about!
