Hi all!! Still in WDW! I lose my internet in an hour or so and probably won't get it again on the trip, so I will see you guys when I get back :)

Today we are having lunch at 50's Primetime and having a snack for dinner. Our plans got changed yesterday. We got to Earl of Sandwich and the line was a mile long, so we opted for a soft pretzel from Wetzel Pretzel and we split a warm brownie sundae from Ghirardelli. Had dinner at Shutter's and it rocked!! You will get a kick out of my restaurant report from that one.

WFD at your house?

A sundae from Ghirardelli for lunch.... that's my kind of vacation!

Glad you are having fun. I have not a clue what's for dinner. My dh leaves for 3 nights tonight for a hunting trip so the kids and I can do whatever we want!!! :teeth:

Mermaid, a salty pretzel AND a sundae for lunch. THAT'S a vacation!!

In all seriousness though, if we had gotten sandwiches we would have had no appetite for Shutter's, so the pretzel and ice cream worked out well for us :)

We stayed at CBR last year and never ate at Shutters. It's good?

Mermaid, we enjoyed it. It was quite different than I was expecting (in a good way). I got a HUGE pasta dish that was so light and yummy, but I was stuffed before I got halfway through it. I will post a pic when I get back.

Would definitely go back.

Hi Everyone,

Tonight is a ham night - so excited. Even more excited because tomorrow is my "let loose" day from my diet, so I'll be thinking DESSERT. Lindsey, I'm jealous of your lunch! Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning all! Tonight, I think, is going to be pizza night. DH is having a planning meeting here for a community event, so it'll be something quick and easy.

Lindsay, so happy to hear that you're having a great time. We've stayed at CBR twice and have enjoyed Shutters too!

I have a pork tenderloin marinating in an asian marinade, will then grill or broil it. Teriyaki noodles and broccoli on the side.

Scouts tonight, so another easy meal, cherry glazed grilled ham steak, tater tots, and broccoli.

Tonight I am making a pasta dish with broccoli, grape tomatoes, sweet onions, basil, and parmesean cheese, and also serving garlic bread and an arugula salad with more tomatoes and olives.

Hi All!

Glad that you are having a great time Lindsay and you had a great time Liamsaunt!

Tonight is meatloaf and some sort of starch and veggie...

Have a great day all!

Well, tonight is DS's birthday, so he gets to choose dinner. I was excited, because he usually chooses salmon, it's his favorite dinner. However, I guess it's not "cool" to like fish, so instead, he's decided he wants hamburgers and french fries. Oh well. I'm trying a recipe from Family Fun for the hamburgers, so they should be tastier than from a drive in. I'm also making my own fries, so that should be interesting. We are also eating off whole wheat buns. My kids will hate that, but I'm looking forward to them! I'll probably make a potato salad, too, if I get the gumption. For dessert? What else? Birthday cake and ice cream.

Last night, we had chicken pot pie. (Thanks for the idea, Glynis!) :)

Tonight's main course will be pigs in a blanket accompanied by a layer of cheddar. The delectable side dishes will be baked beans and pan fried apples.

You're welcome! We had it last night, too! I just love the recipe!!!

Your dinner tonight sounds really yummy! Wish I could come!

It poured all day today so dinner was especially nice. We had crusty bread(from last night) with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and artichoke a ns cheeese dip to hold ud til dinner, I was running late. We had roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and cranberry sauce. I roasted 2 big chicken so that I have enough to make DH his sandwiches for the rest of the week. I also have the bones from chickens so I can make a nice stock :thumbsup2 . During the winter months I like to make a stock every week, usually vegetable, for my soups and sauces.

Tonight's pork tenderloin with asian marinade/gravy was awesome. If you like the flavors of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic you will love this. It's quick and supereasy. If anyone's interested I'd be happy to share! It can also be done with pork chops.(in fact that's what the recipe calls for) :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip on how to get to the page! I've been wondering that as I went 10 pages at a time.

I come lurking on this thread every couple of days to get ideas. Great thread!
