It's on page 125, post #1863. Lindsay has all the recipes listed in the first post of this thread, but there are so many now that it's getting hard to find them.

Well I don't post on this thread as often as I would like, but dinner was so easy and fun today I thought I would share. We had dinner at Disneyland :cool1:
I must say this thread is an inspiration. Over the last week I have copied all the recipes into a word doc. with the intention of starting to plan meals a little better than I do now. I am jealous of the meals I see everyone posting here and realize I need to be better about that myself.

I am making Glynis's roast tonight! I will throw in some carrots and make smashed potatoes to go with it. I can't wait!

WFD at your house?

I'm sorry :( If anyone has a better idea on what to do with them, I'd love any suggestions.

Tonight I am going to make the Aloha Pizza recipe that Sandy posted yesterday! It will use up the leftover chicken in the fridge!

Lindsey I don't have any ideas, I just cut and paste the ones I like the looks of to word and store them there.

It is going to be a beautiful day here today, high 70's (before we go back to "seasonal temps" so I am putting on my flip flops and going to go shopping for a few summer things, then head outside to enjoy the day!! Have a great one all!!

WEll, didn't end up making anything for dinner last night. Unless PB&J and nuked chicken nuggets is considered cooking. DH had to be at work at 4pm and I ws exhausted. We'll see if I don't anything tonight. I have a clinic to go to at 6--maybe I'll leave it up to DH.

Good morning everyone! It's red beans and rice Monday here.

Have a great day everyone!

Lindsay, I think you do a great job. What I do is use the search function (beef, pork, etc)...then find next, find next until I come to the recipe that I am looking for. I am not very computer literate and DF just showed me how to do this...:rolleyes1 . I don't even know how to post pics...DF did the one in my signature. :confused3

I cannot believe I did not DIS at all yesterday...that is not usual of me. We went to church...picked our wedding music too!!!...and then did yard work...I was contemplating putting a vegetable garden in but I think we have too much going on this year...we may be renovating the down stairs of our house...it is stuck in the 70's.

To all who asked...I have never tried chocolate body paint but think it may be fun for our honeymoon...along with some Rosa!!!! :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow ...what do you think??? I know DF would be VERY surprised and happy. Speaking of honeymoon...we are thinking of going to St. Michaels MD for a few days...anyone ever been?

OK, so now for the cooking part. I am making the italian casserole that I was supposed to make the night I got a little tipsy...along with a nice tossed salad.

Oh, I also love Pampered Chef. I have the measuring spoons and the liquid/solid measuring thing. Love them both. I also use the small wooden spoons and small spatula alot. I always loved my baking stone too but somehow I've lost it!!! :rolleyes1 :confused3

I also love lamb but DF does not. DS probably would...maybe I should make some on the grill soon. Love it with mint jelly!

Have a great day all!

Good Morning All! It is a beautiful day here today so I am going to enjoy it by spending time scrubbing my front porch. Don't laugh, I like doing that.

Lindsay- don't apologize, you do an outstanding job keeping the recipes posted and up to date. I have no idea how to manage them any other way. I have started the cut and pates to a word document as well, but that took me a year to do. The longer the front page is the more recipes we have to choose from, so it's all good!

I found a sloppy joe casserole in the new Taste of Home magazine so I am going to try that. It looks good and .....wait for it Kathy.......Easy :thumbsup2

Hi everyone. I'm still wiped out from the shower Saturday night (went very well) and laundry and packing yesterday so tonight's dinner will be easy. I have the cheesy chicken in the crock pot and plan to serve it with mexican rice and some succotash.

Lauren, glad to hear you selected the cake, it sounds yummy. Not as yummy as your chocolate suggestion to Lori, but certainly more appropriate for the venue.

Wow! I love the food porn!
DS18 went back to RI yesterday--we had an early dinner: aged prime rib; stuffed potatoes;Yorkshire pudding; tinned peas (DH's fave) & fresh asparagus.

We have enough leftovers--chili,refried beans, prime rib, chicken pot pie--to last us for the entire week! :rotfl: Yes, I made all of DS' faves this week & also gave him a few cooking lessons, too!
Due to the bum weather--we had 10 inches of snow, followed by heavy rains (roads in & out of town impassable)--we ate for amusement! :rotfl:
Oh, and DS taught me how to play dice games!

Last year, I was angling for a HHI vaca this week & DH was not into it at all.
I had to point out (gently, yet still annoyingly!) we would've missed all that snow & ice (and the subsequent shoveling!).
At least a rainy day in HHI would've seen temps above 35!

Well it's been gorgeous since Friday!

Jean

That sounds like a plan to me!

Oh Lindsay I hope you didn't think I was saying you weren't doing a good job with the thread.:guilty: You're doing a fantastic job and we all really appreciate it. :flower3:

Lauren ~ I've been to St. Michaels, but I was 11 or 12 and I don't remember much about it, sorry. The two things that stick out in my mind are walking up to the top of an old lighthouse and eating crabs.:rolleyes1

Thank you! That doesn't sound too bad right? We want to go someplace not too far, that has a spa and is romantic. The place we want to stay was voted very romantic in some magazine. I guess a call to my neice is in order. She lives in MD after attending Loyola down there...

OK, I am babbling again!

 :lmao: I'm anxious to hear what Lori says about that! I'm thinking it will be a doozie!

I don't know what either of you are talking about! :lmao: I'm a good girl, wouldn't have a clue about chocolate body paint (go for the milk, not the dark- and take mini-marshmallows, all that chocolate is kinda rich!)

Anybody know anything about the "Magic Shell" ice cream sauce? Do you have to put it on ice cream for it to get solid or does it get hard just spreading it out?

Now I bet you're wondering about that question. Huh?!?:rotfl2:

PS. Thanks for the idea Lauren but 1) I'd need a paint roller to cover my amplitude in chocolate (and prolly put Rick into a diabetic coma in the meantime!) and 2) don't think Epcot would be real receptive to me a la choco bunny mode trotting back to Italy for the Rosa!:rolleyes1

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you are all having a great day!

I didn't get on the computer at all yesterday! I don't know what happened to me, but as I was in the kitchen making dinner, all of a sudden, I couldn't move my right arm without sending pain from my elbow to my shoulder. Looks like I've pinched a nerve in my back somehow. Ouch!!!!!

Anyway, my dinner turned out really good. I made Cranberry Chicken. It was so good and very EASY! I'll post the recipe in a minute. For dessert, I tried a new recipe for Lemon Meringue Cake. It was not that good. I won't be making it again!

Anyway, dinner tonight will be clam chowder and biscuits. I have some chowder frozen, and since my arm still hurts, I don't want to do too much.

Here's the recipe for the chicken:

Cranberry Chicken

1 bottle (16 oz.) either Italian or French dressing
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
4-6 chicken breast halves

Combine first 3 ingredients and marinate chicken in it for at least 2 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dump chicken and marinade into a 9X13 baking dish and bake for 1 hour or until juices run clear.

I made some rice to go with this, and it was really yummy with the extra sauce over it.

I hope you are feeling better today. That EASY caught my eye, but my guys will only eat cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving, how weird is that.:confused3 Maybe I'll do what Nancy does - when they get me mad I'll serve it!

Oh, silly me. I forgot to post what's for dinner!:headache: DH left town this morning so it's just me again all week. Tonight is seared salmon, marinated portobello cap, and steamed veggies- all on the grill! No clean up. And leftover apple crisp pie from last night.

And I think this is hysterical- How many people are doing Glynis' pot roast this week? Rick asked me to do it Saturday for when he gets home cause he only got leftovers last time. :rolleyes1

Good Afternoon!

It is a gorgeous day here! I am going to attempt to clean my deck...such fun! We are having Paula Deen's Chicken Divan for dinner tonight. If anyone is interested, I will post the recipe. It's a nice dish because is allows leftovers and I  that!

Hope you all are having a great day!!!

Betsy
