The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

So in summary, after returning here a year since our first visit, I would be very upset if I owned at the Villas and were paying the exorbitant dues:

- poor upkeep of the common area water features
- hot tub broken
- splash pad running constantly now in ‘b-mode’
- the worst shower I can remember in any hotel, anywhere; the most anemic water pressure, the flow barely leaves the head
- on the upside, great room service and it remains a disgrace that Riviera, Aulani et al. do not offer same
I just stayed at the Villas May 1 through May 5th and I must say the water pressure from the handheld piece was amazing. The overhead was not great but the handheld was something I don't think I have experienced in a hotel room since pre water savings measures decades ago. It made me want to take a shower when I really did not need one.

We stayed in the Garden Duo last week. The shower was just dandy. We didn't use the common areas, but we saw everyone out there having a magical time enjoying their Disney vacation.

And there was live music every evening. VGC and VDH both have daily live music by the pools. Which of the other DVC sites can claim that?

I can’t say that I have ever seen live music at either the VDH or VGC pool….

I’ve seen live music at Trader Sam’s….

My last two trips to VDH have had great music in the late afternoon into the evening. They usually setup a nice space on the edge of the Palm Breeze. You can open the sliding door on the Garden Studio and listen to the relaxing music and pool sounds while you nap on your bed. Reason 382 why I love the Garden rooms…. :)

Not on one and two bedrooms
Even though I have stayed in both I forgot about those since there is hardly any. But they do get the "preferred"classification because they either have a good view of the monorail pool or an elevated view from a bit higher up. I do agree that if they are not facing the monorail pool they should get a standard view classification .

Mine said the same. But in CA he will probably have to sacrifice since gotta book what I can get.
It’s an inverse Cabin/Bungalow problem…, so many people buy with the plan of banking/borrowing for a villa…. and the availability will only get more difficult as millions of points are sold every year….

We wanted a 1bd in early January…. but because of walkers we have 2 studios….

THIS! We did the same and it was awesome. Dozed off to the music while laying in bed after swimming all day...bliss!

Hello! Just bought 150 points at VDH! We own at AKL, too, but wanted some West Coast points, since it was so hard to get rooms at 7 months. I've always loved the nostalgia of staying at the Disneyland Hotel and the kind of retro vibe, plus love Trader Sam's and the monorail pool. Our first stay probably won't be until next year, but excited to get a chance to visit again in the not so distant future.

We’ve been able to stay three times since we purchased our 150 points in 2023, and have another stay planned for October. One of the best purchases we made - staying at the Disneyland Hotel has really been fantastic for our Disneyland visits! Welcome home!

If anyone has stayed in a standard view deluxe studio with a decent view, pls share room number or request
