"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

This season is making me so happy I could cry a bloody tear ..

Except for the portrayal of Calvin Norris.

I've been lurking here for awhile, but I love this show, so I thought I'd join in finally!
Who do you think will come to Sookie's rescue next week? Bill seemed to hear that Sookie was in trouble, but turned away from her anyway. I guess he's stuck in his situation. So, will it be Eric?
Also, I really thought that the King was going to have Lorena taken care of (killed) in the limo (when he left her there alone). I haven't read the books. I was surprised at the end when she was still sitting there. I also thought that feeding scene at the end was :scared:gross!

Calvin has only been shown once. There's still hope.

Very interesting twist in Sam's parents' story. Dare I say better than the one in the book? Perhaps. We shall see.

I like Eric and Lafayette together. I'm so glad they didn't kill L off like in the books.

Alcide's abs are the stuff from which you just want to eat!

Jessica's character is interesting because of her age. Very reminiscent of the young girl vampire in Interview With A Vamire... at least the lamenting about not being able to age to adulthood.

I like the evil Thomas Cromwell, er, I mean Vampire Franklin. ;) That guy does a great job at the evil roles. I like how he's teasing Tara since she's the one who usually has to be in control.

The scene at the end reminds us that vampires are vampires at heart no matter how they assimilate into society. They are brutal killers. I saw it as our wakeup call since everyone so far has been of the nicer variety.

I was wondering something off the subject, but is Andy one of Bill's descendants? If so, does it matter? Did Bill come back to Bon Temps to spy on Sookie initially? What is Bill's relationship to the queen?

BTW, I love Eric. I saw a picture of him in a magazine with his girlfriend. And she was all over him and he look somewhat disinterested. His real self looked in posture just like Eric.

Calvin Norris is the "older" man where Lafayette was trying to sell V. He was there the week prior when Jason took down his drug dealer. The small town is called Hotshot and it's an inbred community of shape-shifters in the books(and Lafayette used the phrase "brother cousins" :rotfl2:). Calvin is very reputable and becomes one of Sookie's allies. Time will tell with the TV series.

For all you folks that have never read the books. True Blood is not following the books at all.:sad1:

True Blood is just using the Sookie Stackhouse novels as a jump off. Alan Ball is doing his own thing. So many characters from the book are NOTHING like what Alan Ball has made them in his show. Which for me is a huge disappointment.:rolleyes1But I still watch.:thumbsup2

I love the books.

Team Alcide. There is nothing more for me to say. :rotfl:

My husband was too, but I said, "Now why would you go and do a thing like that?" :lmao:

AMEN!!!! :yay::yay:

He is very scary...he's starting to annoy me though. :rolleyes1

I agree! I've tried hard to keep them seperate but it's hard. :sad1: I will keep watching though.

I like the books. I like the series.

At first I wasn't happy with them not following the books, but now it's like extra stories about the characters and some element of surprise!

I feel the same way. I do not care for the vampires selling 'V', and I do not care for the whole Russell Eddington and the werewolves storyline. (Not to mention what has been done to Calvin Norris' character) These invented storylines run contrary to many aspects of the characters in the series. I only watch for Eric and Pam.

I think they will develop the Calvin Norris role as Jason as a cop develops and hopefully ends up with Crystal(though I hate them together in the book but I want Calvin Norris's plot to develop)

I don't know after reading the books I kinda want the tv series to catch up to where I am haha. Oh well!

It's kind of nice on one level they arent the same as it gives me something to look forward to as Ive read all the books. On the other hand Im yelling at the TV (THIS ISN"T SUPPOSE TO BE HAPPENING!) oh well still loving it!

The only part I REALLY REALLY miss from the books is Bubba. Although I can understand why they don't include him!

I read all 10 books this past week (after watching True Blood season 1 and 2 on DVD right when they were released). Not a huge fan of the newest one.

I wished that had Bubba on the show! I love him!

I'm not a huge fan of all the side storylines. Maybe I'm just die hard Sookie/Eric at heart so I want that to be the big focus.

Alexander Skargard who plays Eric is definitely wonderful to look at!

I definitely wish Bubba was on the show. I like both the show and the books really!

I found last night's episode to be a bit dull, honestly.

Alexander Skarsgard (who plays Eric) is dating Kate Bosworth from.... I don't really know what she's been in since Blue Crush and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton :lmao:

He is definitely not a paparazzi fan. He always looks super pissed off :lmao:

I was actually bored while watching which sucked because we just took the plunge to get HBO so last night was my first time watching it "live."

A friend gave me last nights episode. If the season continues that way, I'll be very glad I gave up my HBO subscription. I like the show, but I prefer the book story lines. The show gets a bit too extreme and ridiculous at times. But it's much better to look at than a book.

I think we'll see some more interesting episodes in the future...especially with the V plot and Bill feeling Sookie in Jackson.

I agree Im a hardcore Eric/Sookie Shipper now this them not together is driving me nutso lol.

I miss Bubba too...maybe they can introduce him sometime...I always love how sensitive he is.

Im curious if they make the series to the most reason book will they include Alexei?! I could see that being interesting on several levels. But then again Eric's maker isnt Appius in the series.
