She's playing Sophie Anne? I think she'd do a good job in that role.

I thought it was a good episode last night. I particularly enjoyed listening to Eric complain about $45 synthetic blood in the hotel.

I just finished reading book 1 and I have to say...... I like the HBO show better. I'm going to start book 2 this weekend.

Book 2 started and finished. I loved it! Maybe I'll get to the store this weekend and get a couple more.

Well I'm finally caught up and wanted to join in on this thread! Last night's episode had us in stictches the whole time! Lafayette's "dancing". OMG Awesome!

I'm on book 7, "Definitely Dead" and I really love the books but I have to say that I love the show too! They're each wonderful in their own way!

I'm hoping to be able to check out some of the local filming too. I hear they will be in Baton Rouge in the next few days!

I forgot about Barry until we started hearing Sookie's thoughts. That's not how she meets him in the book, so I wasn't expecting it then.

I love Jessica. I wonder if she'll stay or if they'll kill her off.

I wish they'd take Maryann's character to the way of the book. It was more interesting that way than it is now. I'm over her. Although, I want to know how mad Sookie will be at the party Tara threw on the same day she moved into her house.

I was wondering if the synthetic blood was the Royal Blood that was discussed in the books since it was $45 per bottle, but I looked closely and it was just TruBlood at a steep price. Kind of like the price of drinks at the King Cole Bar in the St. Regis in NYC.

I almost forgot about Berry, I am almost finished with Club Dead. Picked up Dead to the World yesterday at the library, I enjoy reading the books and watching the program. Especially since I am just a little ahead to the movie.

I was thinking the same thing! I was wondering if she would come home early and be upset that everyone was there- but then I was thinking, they might not leave a mess behind b/c Maryann usually throws parties at her place and she probably has someone clean up after her. She seems like a responsible party thrower (OK- besides the orgy thing)

Yes- the price depends on location, location, location. They are at an upscale hotel so it could be that the price is just higher than Merlottes little bar out in the sticks.

We're all assuming, and I think correctly, that Maryann is the maenad. She doesn't play too much into the story. She just lurks in the shadows, IIRC. She makes her big appearance at the orgy that Eric unknowingly attends with Sookie. I forget how she was finally vanquished.

When I realized it was Barry, I jumped up and screamed "Bellhop Barry" "THEY INCLUDED BELLHOP BARRY!!!!" My dh who watches the show but has not read the books just looked at me like I was silly! lol
