"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Ok, I have to share (speaking of the Merlotte's T-Shirts!).

A few months ago, I was at a convention where the guys from Ghost Adventures were doing a signing (if you've ever seen the show, you probably know them as the "dude" guys - as in, "Dude! Did you hear that??!" or "Dude! Did you see that??!"). My DH had just bought me a "Hi, My Name is Sookie" name tag with "Merlotte's Bar and Grill" on it. I thought it was funny so I clipped it on my blouse.

Well, when my friend and I got to the desk to get our autographs, Zack said, "Sookie, that's an unusual name" and started to sign my picture "To Sookie." I stopped him because I was actually getting the signature for someone else and said, "No, actually, Sookie is not my name." Then the other guy, Aaron, said, "Dude. It's, like, Sookie. It's from a TV show. Dude, don't you know that?"

:lmao:

It's on HBO right now :cool1: - east coast, at least. :thumbsup2

It will be on till midnight, the 10 inches -err, hours of Hung. :)

At the TCA presentation today, HBO announced that they’ve picked up True Blood for a third season, set to debut in June 2010. Not that there was any doubt, what with approximately 11 million viewers tuning in each week, but it’s still nice to hear it for certain!

Yea! Read this and thought I would share. I kept wondering when it was going to air again.

THAT'S IT!!! I'M ADDICTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TRUE BLOOD!:woohoo:

Gonna move the next disc to the top of my queue in Netflix! LOVE Bill..he's very hot! Sookie isn't bad either. Weird seeing Anna Paquin in the roll...so used to her as Rogue.

And yes..it is VERY graphic sexually...but I don't mind. ;)

I'm new here. Have another thread about Season 1 and wanted to get info before it arrived from Netflix. Was told it's VERY graphic sexually and can be quite gory. I'm like...BRING IT ON! popcorn::

. . . and another True Blood crack addict is born. :teeth:

:lmao: Well, that didn't take long.

Welcome to the thread. :goodvibes I told you, we don't bite here - well, only the vampires do, and we want that!

Join in. All new blood is welcome. :hyper2:

I can't wait for the next disc to arrive. I have to do my Horatio Caine thing on Saturday as I always do...it's a tradition now to watch CSI from Netflix on Saturday. But when I send back The Shield on Friday, I'll have the next disc for True Blood on Monday! :cool1:

Ok, I'm new to the True Blood addiction...just watched the 1st season on DVD and I don't have HBO so I have to wait for season 2 to come out. I'm just starting on the Sookie Stackhouse books too. But, I have a question. What happened to Lafayette at the end of the last episode???? I'm dying to find out, he's my favorite characted on the show!

Pay no attention to the Lafayette in the book. That's right, book, not plural! Sorry, I just can't give away what the tv series does with his character, but a lot is resolved in the first episode of season 2. His storyline, like Tara's (and others), don't mesh with the books, but are still great! (Ok, a little bit for ya, he's involved with Eric in some way. And two words: Hair Foils.)

Add me to the newbie vampire fan club. I recently graduated from the "Twilight" book series (read all four books in a week and a half) to Trueblood after catching the first episode on HBO during their marathon a few weeks ago. I was so disappointed when I found out Season 2 wasn't released to DVD yet and we have to wait several months before HBO will show it again! I was shocked to see those bright red toenails in the deputy's back seat and can't wait to find out what's going on with Lafayette.

To combat any withdrawel symptoms I've started reading the first book in the Sookie series, and so far it follows very closely with the show. I usually read the book first and then watch the movie (or series), so this is doing things a little backwards for me. Guess I have some time to get ahead in the book series before I see Season 2 and 3.

Oooooh! Lots of fresh blood joining in. :yay:

The whole episodes are supposedly online at various sites, so you can watch them (YouTube style) on your computer. :surfweb: You'll have to scroll back a ways to find a link, unless someone chines in they know a good one. The one I know has them subtitled in Chinese.

Hey all-- I'll jump into this thread too!

I don't have HBO-- I watched Season 1 on dvd last fall-- then I read every single one of the books. I like the books better, I think, but I still am DYING to see Season 2. I can't believe they aren't releasing it til May! Bummer.

I literally laughed out loud when I got to that part of your post.

So I was upset for a bit there at Christmas because I only got season 1 of True Blood, I was like "Hello! I put Season 2 on my Amazon list rated 'highest'...what gives??" Well, that would be because it hasn't been released yet, lol. I did watch the first episode of season 1 with the added content, it made it more fun...I liked the little tidbits from Lafayette.

The next book comes out in May too. Coincidence? I think not. ;)

I also love the books better, but I also really enjoy the show. Though sometimes I get mad at how far they stray from the books. For us book readers, I just have to say the shower scene better be in the show or I'm not renewing HBO. :rolleyes1 I tend to be a fan of both Eric and Bill. :woohoo:

omg the shower scene!
I already think they are straying from book 3 just by the way season 2 ended.
I love the books and the series , can't wait for may!
If the series keeps going, I hope Amelia comes into the picture like the books.

Thanks, at least your response gave me a little relief without spoiling anything for me!

I heard that the 1st season stayed pretty true to the 1st book but then season 2 takes on it's own story not particularly following any of the books, is that pretty accurate??? I haven't started the books yet, just picked up the 1st 1 and am still getting through another book I'm reading, can't wait to read it though!

Season two very lightly followed book two with the maenad storyline and the trip to Dallas. But very lightly.

My buddy got me hooked on this series... I watched the pilot and it was all over... I watched every episode in the past 2 weeks... I am looking into getting the books soon... I cannot wait till June when Season 3 gets started...

If you are having problems finding the show online, you can go see every episode from both seasons by clicking the following link...

True Blood

It is a little tricky to use for the first time, but that site has a lot of new movies and tv series (even movies that are currently in the theatre... You have to click on the top link in red ("Click here to launch the NinjaVideo Helper Beta 0.3.10") and then minimize that window... click on what ever season you want to watch, and then the episode... Viola!

I am still new to the site so I can't offer much more help, but enough messing around, you should be good to go... Explore the site for other TV shows and movies... there are hundreds on there...

Count me as a new addicted fan as well.
I watched both seasons through On-Demand over the past month. I just finished the first book, and I plan to pick up a couple more tomorrow!
