"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Well Eric running naked starts next season as it started book four... woot!

Oh so hope they allow um more than average tv allows! hahah oops did I say that out loud

Ok, this is true, he doesn't come running naked down the road until the 4th book- 4th season, so why did they already dive into the faery realm and why did they show Eric making Bill tell Sookie the truth? All this doesn't happen until after Eric's mindless spell. It doesn't make sense to me, I like that the show is loosely based on the books but to me events at least are supposed to be in order. sheesh!

I agree
but for me all is forgiven if we see a naked Alexander Skarsgard haha

When the creator/producer of the show has to come on after the end and practically beg everyone to come back next season, it doesn't bode well for the show. Seems like even Alan Ball knew the finale was less than spectacular. :sad2:

I follow True Blood on Facebook and, holy cow, did Alan Ball get an earful after they posted that clip. A big majority of fans are pretty irritated right now. Maybe this will be the jolt they need to ease back toward some of the plotlines from the books. Seriously, drop the Jason, Tara, and V plotlines, Mr. Ball. They're awful. There are a whole lot of great ideas in the books--use them.

I know there is one thing from the books I want to see besides a naked Eric...

Quinn!

I bet HBO was very busy getting cancellation phone calls today. :lmao:

I don't know about that. The promos and the advanced hype for Boardwalk Empire make it sound like HBO might have yet another hit on its hands. Granted, as much as I like Steve Buscemi, I doubt women will be watching it for him like they do Bill and Eric :rotfl2:

Tony Soprano was nothing to look at, but that show was still amazing.

I really like Buscemi, and I like the premise of the show. I'll definitely be watching!

Sorry for the delay - just watched my DVR'd finale last night.

What the heck happened to Sookie in the finale? She was so mean to Russell. And am I the only one that felt sorry for Russell when Sookie got hold of Talbot's remains?

You're right. That was really out of character for Sookie. She usually thinks about how others would feel.. especially about "remains." The evil smile was more Pam than Sookie.

I'm in the middle of re-reading the books and it is really really throwing me off- esp with Russell, Talbot, Tara and Franklin Mott. I have figured out it is probably best for me to read in the season hiatus so I don't confuse the crap out of myself, lol.

Kim

Yeah, that smile and her whole attitude was so off, I was waiting for her head to spin around and for her to puke pea soup.

I agree. But last nights finale left me not really caring about next season at all. The whole fairy land thing is too cheesy and I am sick and tired of the V story lines. Plus, it didn't end with Eric running naked down the road. :snooty:

That's how I was hoping it would end too! It's how book 4 starts, so it would have been a really good cliffhanger for the end of season 3, IMO.

I loved the fairy stuff in the books...it was out there, but it's not like the show. They are just over exaggerating it and making it lame. And the girl who plays Claudine is SO different from the Claudine in my head that she is just annoying me.

Eric makes Bill tell Sookie the truth in Book 3....BUT it happens when she is in the hospital recovering. I'm glad they finally did it though!

I'll be watching Boardwalk Empire! We're really excited for it. For $15 a month, I can't justify canceling HBO...It doesn't make that much of an impact to warrant losing it.

Boardwalk Empire looks interesting but I will save it for dvd. I can't really justify extending our HBO subscription when we really only got it for True Blood and don't ever watch anything else (we have Netflix for movies!)

Plus, I have just gotten into Dexter (just finished Season 1) and that is taking up all my time... plus the return of Fall TV!

We're keeping HBO for Boardwalk Empire plus we like the HBO on demand that comes with it for free. I can watch seasons 2 and 3 of True Blood whenever and the movies are nice.

You don't think someone abducting you, tying your boyfriend down with silver, being held down while being draining you without your permission, which I think would be akin to rape, you almost die if your boyfriend hadn't save you, and this same Russell is planing on continually draining you for your fairy blood isn't enough the change a person's attitude and demeanor? :confused3

What show were you watching?

I agree with you, but I see their point. The "book" Sookie wasn't like that...she always felt bad for everyone, even if she knew they didn't deserve it. And she definitely would not have flushed Talbot down the drain...then laughed about it to boot.

Isn't that called being wimpy? The TV Sookie is wimpy enough with Bill & everyone leading her around and doing things to her. I'm glad she finally got a spine.

we arent gonna keep hbo, but towards the end of boardwalk we will order it for a couple weeks and catch up on demand :)

I totally agree I actually yelled out during this episode... "it took 12 episodes but sookie got a spine!"
