I just returned from WDW yesterday. I was determined to eat at the T-Rex restaurant. I arrived around 1:55 p.m. on opening day 10/14. They had already had the press conference, and the invited guests were still inside until about 3:15 p.m. There was a party of three (3) and a party of two (2) in line already. It was so enjoyable talking to other people about Disney. The second party were two (2) young ladies from Louisiana, and yeah, they were Dis'ers. Before I forget, just want to say hi to my girls L & D from Louisiana. It was so good talking to you.
About 3:20 p.m. other people started lining up. Then the owner/manager (I am not sure which one he was) came out, and handed out opening day pins to everyone. At 3:55 p.m., they started seating us. I ended up sharing a table with L & D, and we were actually the first party seated due to a table snafu with the original first party.
First, the inside of this restaurant is really cool. I loved all the animotronics. There were several rooms, including the ice room (the best). Every few minutes the lights would dim, and an animotronic show would start. The ice room would change different colors during the show. The show is very loud. I did note several of the smaller kids were crying and scared. It seemed a little intense for them.
Second, the food. I ordered the Mega Mess-O-Bones (1/2 rack). It was $21.99. It came with two (2) sides, of which I chose garlic mashed potatoes and the cinnamon apples. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink called Discovery Blast in Blue Raspberry. It was supposed to be a slush. I was the first one to order the drink, and it came out foamy both times. It comes in a souvenir long clear plastic dinosaur bone cup. It was $4.99, but they took it off the bill because of the problems with the drink machine (I did get to keep the cup). L & D ordered the Dexter's Dual Dip and Chicken Fried Chicken. I don't remember the prices. The ribs were pretty good, as well as the two (2) sides. The Discovery Blast at least had a good taste. L & D said their food was good as well. We had a fantastic waitress. We each got the desert called Chocolate Extinction. It was sort of an ice cream, cake, with chocolate and heath bar pieces. This was a really good desert, at the cost of $8.99. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!
There is a Build a Dino by Build a Bear Workshop. It looked really neat. There were also T-shirts and other keepsakes.
They do not accept Tables in Wonderland (DDE), or
DDP at this time.
All in all, I thought it was pretty good. I would go back, although not as a must do. With the exception being the desert. I loved it.
I have to apologize because I was going to post the pictures, but for some reason it did not work.

I am going to try again tomorrow, but I wanted to let all of you know about my experience.
