The Official Spring 2007 CP

I'm interviewing Saturday at 1:30. I'm really, really nervous, but here's hoping that it goes well!

I just had a quick question for those who are trying to pick up a PI after a spring CP. Is it easier? I want to extend after my spring advantage and I don't know if I want to try for a PI or just another CP. I'm coming from so far away I figured it would just be easier to stay down there. I want to eventually work disney, probably Cali since I'm from here.

Hey everyone...Im brand new to this forum and I just did my interview about an hour ago...Im really nervous and hope I get in...Is there any useful information anyone could give me because this is my first time doing it and I honestly do not know that much about it...thanks a lot everyone!!!

So i got my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday. Accepted for Spring Advantage 2007. Working in merchandise. So now i have to figure everything out with my school, then propose this to my parents. But i sure am hoping to be down in beautiful WDW come January.

good luck to anyone else interviewing.

Does any one have a feel for wheter or not it effects your chances of acceptance to apply for Spring or Spring Advantage. Is there ever any problem with extending? It seems like if there is no diffirence it would be best to apply for spring and if it goes well extend for the summer or for Fall advantage or an PI or advanced cp. What are anyones thoughts on this.

I FINALLY got my acceptance package last night (10/12) - yay! :cool1:

Genie must have overheard me or read my mind because I got exactly what I wanted - Operations! :woohoo: I hope I work in the Magic Kingdom; I didn't get to hint on that during the interview.

I'm arriving on January 8th, so all that's left to do is prepare, prepare, prepare! Start saving money, schedule flight(s), book hotel...wait a minute...I'm already doing that stuff!

I'm so excited, I just don't know what to do with myself! If anyone wants to schedule a meet, let's get on it!

Until next post...:wave2:

Congrats! :thumbsup2 I have to wait till after my audition to get anything. Are you doing advantage or quarter? I have no idea what the arrival dates are for advantage and was just wondering.

Hello,
I have been a lurker on this thread probably since it was started. I really want to do the Spring Advantage. I havn't had the presentation yet since it is not schedule for my school until the first week on November. As long as I'm accepted I'm going. i have wanted to do this since I was like 8. I am hoping to get into Hospitality but I heard that is hard to get into. November can't come soon enough.

I don't think it matters. I did Spring 2005, and now am on Fall Advantage 2006. Asfor extending, all you need is to make sure to keep your record card clean, and you should be fine. I extended my Spring 2005 CP into August.

I signed up for Spring. I'm hoping that I can extend, but at least I can leave in May if everything goes wrong (I'm gonna do my best to make my program ROCK!) :thumbsup2

A lot people say that it's better to go for the Spring and then extend the program if you want.

I posted this on the main thread too...but I should do it here too...

Well, I've been reading the board for a good week now trying to sift through all the info on here making sure I don't ask something that's already been answered (although I've read sooooo much I'm sure I will anyway)...so I guess I should introduce myself!

My name is Bailey and I am a student at LSU. I really want to do the Spring program or the Spring Advantage program (or maybe do the Spring program and extend into the summer?). I am going to watch the e-presentation tomorrow and then schedule my interview, because after reading all of this and the other info I've found on the web, I just don't think I can wait until the come to LSU for the live presentation!!! I am hoping to work in operations and then audition for entertainment and extend into the summer and be a character attendant (you do audition for that right?) In operations I really REALLY want a spieling (sp?) role - I'm a theatre major and those are RIGHT up my alley

So any advice anyone wants to give me about anything is TOTALLY welcome! I'll be on here with TONS of questions in the next few days but I'd love to just talk generally with anyone too You can PM me, IM me (TexasOnMyMind365) or e-mail me (bplaye1@lsu.edu) with whatever valuable Disney info you've got!!!

So here's to hoping I'll be at Disney Spring 2007! *crosses fingers*

I was thinking the same thing but then just decided to go for it. If I like it I'm going to extent into a 2nd CP or do a PI. I have family down there and plenty of family that doesn't that comes down so it won't be too bad. I will miss California for sure though. I want to transfer to working at Disneyland eventually.

Welcome and just wanted to say don't worry about the questions. I came on here about a month or so ago and I swear I ask something everyday. i interviewed over a week ago and have everything turned in. I'm just waiting until after my audition on the 8th to see what's going on. I would love to be a character but wouldn't mind a operations (my 2nd choice) with a narration. Your interviwer will just ask if you're ready to say the same thing a million times a day. That's what mine did anyway. Good luck!

Hi. Welcome to Dis. I just wanted to let you know that you don't have to audition for character attendants (I should know), just character performers. Good luck.

First round of questions:

1) how fluent do you have to be to pass disney's language exams?

2) what are all of the "speiling" roles?

3) the WDWCP official website mentions a campus scout card..."What do I do with the Campus Scout Card?
If a previous Disney College Program participant or a member of your school's faculty or administration gave you a Campus Scout referral card, please bring this card with you to the presentation and interview."

what is that?

4) I am doing the e-presentation. I have seen several people suggest bringing cover letters and resumes to presentations. Is there any way I can still submit one that will actually get read before/soon after my interview?

5) what are all of the "non-trained" shifts that you can pick up (PAC, wristbands...anything else?)

6) I heard the 4 bedroom apts are two stories...true or false?

ummmm...i think that's enough for now - but i'm sure i'll have more!

1. I was told you have to be able to be "conversational" in a language to pass

2. I'm not sure about all the speiling roles, but some roles are Jungle Cruise, Safari, Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour.

3. Not sure

4. Not sure, as I have never done a cover letter/resume for the CP

5. There are too many to count. It will mention them on the Portal. Wristbands and PAC are 2 of them

6. They are not really 2 stories. There is a staircase, but there is nothing on the ground floor.

Joanna-

I figured u were the perfect person to ask. What is it to be a character attendant. Do you just escort them through the park? And I was wondering if you get plenty of hours with it? It was under the list of positions that needed another interview or something and I wanted to be ready if they asked about it at the audition.

Thanks!

A character attendant assists the characters, takes photos for guests, answers questions, stuff like that. It is a lot of fun. I enjoy my role very much. And yes, you do get enough hours. And you could always pick up extra hours (there are plenty to choose from).

is there a bathroom for every bedroom in each apt? or do more than 2 ppl have to share 1 bathroom?????
