Ok I missed the oops but I was only half watching. I have it on Tivo so now I'm going to have to see if I can find it.


As for the special performance I'd love to have Drew back to do the Thriller dance with Cheryl. Since he's on the tour I think it would be a good tie-in. I know its only a dream but it would be great to see again.

DAYUM!!! I was up to my eye-balls in trick-or-treaters all night (and two berserk shepherds) and missed the whole thing!

I loved last night's show! I really try to judge my votes based on the performances of the celebrities not the professional dancers. Mario is my favorite although I cannot stand Karina, but they usually get most of my votes.....but I did share a few with Emmitt. I think Joey is a good dancer, but just the way he acts all pompous after his dances and licks his lips and says "thank you sir, thank you sir" a zillion times drives me mad. I think it is so annoying. I do give him a vote each night though as I think the actual dances are great.

I saw Cheryl's little "oops" as well. Too funny! Was that HER house with the ballroom, or her parents' house? They showed her greeting her parents right before they showed the ballroom. No matter whose house it was, it was gorgeous!

I think Monique will and should go tonight. I do like her though, and I will miss her. Is it just me, or does she choose rather unflattering costumes for herself? It might be that she is a little shorter and a little heavier than the other women dancers, which kind of makes it look even worse by comparison. I am NOT saying she is fat, she is just a little more muscular in the thighs and booty.

I think Karina is a whiny little brat. She seems very high strung to me. As much as I don't like her, she and Mario dance very well together.

Emmitt is really starting to impress me. For such a big guy is very light on his feet. I love watching him and Cheryl dance.

Edyta seems to get more comments on her sexy costumes than on her dancing from the judges. She is a great dancer, but those costumes are something else!

I think this is the first year where I will probably be happy with whoever wins. Everyone left is a great dancer and deserves to be there.

Karina was doing some major pouting when the scores for the first dance were announced. She was NOT happy at all with those scores!


I agree - the Final Four have been great! I hate to see anyone leave, but I must confess that I just can't stand Mario. I understand that he's a great dancer - but I can't get past his arrogance and smugness.

I liked Emmitt's first dance better than his second one, I have to wonder though if he was a tv actor instead of a football player would he be making as big of a splash. I liked Mario's dances alot, I don't know how he hasn't beaned Karina off the head yet though, she's so irratating. I hope the judges choose Joey's Adams Family dance for the encore, it was so different and he hasn't had an encore in forever.

Funny how the partners are coming up a lot. As much as I love Mario, his cranky partner has rubbed me the wrong way totally. All of the hours of practicing they do couldn't it be edited to show her in a better light??? Ugh, if I wanted to see footage of a cranky complaining woman I could take my co-worker for a week each month...

The partner I liked the most was definitely Kim. She seemed care the most about Jerry, her partner, and herself second. She also seemed like a geniunely kind person.

I think Edyta is also a genuinely kind person, though her strange eyes and long face give me the creeps...

Louie sort of grew on me. I didn't like him from the very first show on two seasons ago when he danced with Trista from the Bachelor. They were knocked off the first show!! Since then I think he has done a lot for Monique, and seems to want her to do well.

Cheryl will always be my favorite partner, all around. She is so cute and good, without looking anorexic or overly sex kittenish. She is a DANCER and it so shows.

Heck, if my kid danced like that I'd have a ballroom in my home, too!!

....so Joey being polite drives you mad? hmm. learn something new everyday i guess.

Mario's "death stare" at the judges freaks me out and annoys me at the same time. it's like he's trying to do some sort of mind control "i'm a GREAT dancer! yes i am a WONDERFUL dancer!"

I was going to post the same thing about Karina. I couldn't believe it. Frankly, I hope she gets a Master P next season.

i agree. he messes up more than her.


and i said that last season! how it's harder for the women than it is for the men. it always seems like the men aren't even really dancing they're just twirling around the women.

While Louie is an excellent dancer, I think the point of the show is to showcase your 'star' partner. I don't think Louie has done as good of a job as he could. Look at Cheryl - I don't ever get the feeling that she is dancing way above her partner. Same for Kym, Jerry Springer's partner, or Sara's partner, Tony.

He can be arrogant in the ballroom world - I am sure he's earned the right. He hasn't earned the right to be arrogant in the tv world. We want our favorites to look good.
Thanks for the explanation on the heel lead. I am guessing the pattern of heel-toe on 1 & 4 counts is what gives the rise and fall to their dance?

I'm not certain anyone ever earns the right to be arrogant. Arrogance is a turn-off no matter how you look at it. Respect and humility are much bigger turn-ons.

I also found Vivica's partner - Nick - to be quite arrogant. However, in that case, their personalities really matched.

Who do you think they will showcase tonight? I'm hoping for either Emmitt's last dance or Mario's. Woo!
