If you are among those of us who are outraged that the Living Statues in Italy are no longer going to be at WS, please email Disney and tell them so!

Thanks for the info. I just emailed! I never got to see them either & was soooo looking forward to surprising dh & kids on our next trip. I would GLADLY pay a bit extra for this if this is due to cost cutting.

I just added the poll to see if people are willing to let Disney know how upset some of us are. Some of you have never gotten the chance to see them, but wanted to and now can't. If you care, let your voice be heard. Email Disney and let them know we are tired of budget cuts taking away quality entertainment from the parks. What's left to even do in Italy now, besides eat? And from what I have read on the restaurant boards, that's not really a good idea.

I just emailed them. What a sad thing. I just made my first trip this past dec. and I got to see a living statue for the first time. They were such a treat!

I will be writing to them, thanks for the link. They are such a big part of Epcot in my opinion. This stinks!!!!!!!!!

We have a really cute picture of our kids with her. We didn't get to see her last time we were there, but were really looking forward to taking our friends who are going with us this time. I am so upset.

I just sent an email. I have never seen them either and we were definitely planning to on this trip. Are the gone already? If not when are they scheduled to? Is it Disney's decision or the "statues"? I thought I read on here that the female looked pregnant?

Someone else posted on another thread that they are now at Busch Gardens in Tampa. Maybe it was their choice and BG was offering them more money, but nonetheless if Disney knows how upset we are, maybe they will offer them more money to come back, or at very least train someone else to do the part.

I'm afraid this is a trend. Below is a post I made after our Christmas trip.

"We are just back from our Christmas trip. One of the highlights of our trip was hearing the Christmas Brass Band perform at the MK at Town Square. We enjoyed them so much we made it a point to hear them a 2nd and then 3rd time. After the 3rd performance, we happened to meet the band director's mother. She said her son is a college music instructor and has been with Disney for YEARS. He directs seaonal music groups. However, he is concerned that Disney may discontinue the live entertainment and has asked that if anyone wants to voice their opinion that they contact the following. I hope that if you loved the Christmas Brass as we did that you will consider sending a letter or email to the following addresses. Thanks!"

Anyway, the director's concern was that Disney is going to discontinue more and more of the live "Street Performers". Now hearing about the statues and Andymation it appears he was correct.

I think we should definitely email about the statues but I am going to also tell Disney I think the live performers are what make Disney theme parks the best anywhere. I am concerned for ALL the street performers!

If you remember, they used to have the Masquerade act in Italy too. And now when you visit Steve Soares' Live Entertainment site, they have nothing listed under Italy. So sad. Please let Disney know they are making a big mistake by letting this kind of unique entertainment go to it's competition.

I think this is so sad. The live performers and living statues are one of the best parts of World Showcase. We will miss them.

I don't know the answer, but I have emailed Disney, and hope to get an answer, but I doubt that I will. They are notorious for giving the company standard B.S.
Anyone else know for sure what happened?

I just told my kids the news. They are not happy. We enjoy the Living Statues very much.
I just emailed Disney and voiced my opinion. I hope they listen!

I e-mailed them. Now I have to tell some friends that are going this summer they won't be able to see them. This after I told how neat they were.
After I read on here about this I came out and told my DH I was going to write Disney an e-mail and complain. He rolled his eyes. He stopped though when he heard why. The kids were busy complaining. We have talked a lot about catching them on our next trip.
Maybe it would help if I taped my kids complaining and sent that to Disney. That would make them bring them back quick.lol
