Well the prices are about to come out and we normally see loads of threads about been priced out, high increases etc

So keep them all here

I was thinking of booking that 12-night cruise tomorrow for 2 adults/1 teen in a veranda. I'm thinking that's going to be a big no now, with the US/CDN exchange rate that would be cost to or over $20,000 for sure.

Going to check tomorrow on the 8 and 7 night northern European those may be more in our wheelhouse and is an itinerary we haven't done yet!

We are booking the 9-night, the exchange rate does suck add 30% more to the price. That is part of the reason we are doing the 9-night (I also like the itinerary better)

The 9-night looks great too but timing doesn't work for us, end of June is final exams for our daughter!

Those prices are crazy expensive. I remember before I started sailing on Disney the most I paid for a cruise was 1k and that was a week long cruise in the Mediterranean. I wonder how much our Norway cruise is going to be.

View attachment 386337 Lol. I saw this price on Facebook

And this is why I only sail Disney for quick weekend getaways where I can do a regular verandah room. If I’m looking for a cheaper or a family friendly cruise then basically any other family line is in the same ballpark experience wise as Disney for a much lower rate (and much better suite perks).

If I’m going to spend that much for a concierge cabin, then it’s going to be on Crystal or Silversea or Regeant where the experience is much higher end. The Disney brand just does not carry that much of a mark up for me. But, everytime I look, those concierge rooms are gone so clearly somebody is willing to pay luxury pricing for a non-luxury product because it says Disney.

I've never checked the price on such a long cruise. How do those prices compare to this year's? That would tell me how big of a price jump it is

Norway is late in the season, pricing should be reasonable. Late June/July are the highest prices. Prices start going down in August.

It's the summer season... we know that those prices are insane.

I shop around, and usually manage to find a DCL for my family. Our budget? $200 per person per night. That includes all cruises listed below (yes, even the European cruise, we got a really good deal because it was early in the season and last minute booking) as well as next week's Baja Mexico cruise.

I badly wanted to do the 11 night Northern European but it's out of my price range. We paid $6,837 for our 11 night Iceland cruise cat 9C (2A1K) in 2015 so I guess that was a steal! It's hard for me to pay double now for the Northern European.

ETA: I shouldn't complain, we are doing the 8 night European cruise this summer and that was high too. I will probably just keep saving and do the Northern European in a couple years.

Thank you.

We all know that it is expensive to cruise Disney. It is expensive to CRUISE or GO SOMEWHERE on vacation!

We all know that prices increase every year. They increase for actual necessities like food every year too!

Like anything else, you shop around and you make choices. I love Disney, but I've done Alaska on HAL and RCCL and Europe on RCCL and had a great time! I'm doing Celebrity next February for 7 nights in an Aqua Class cabin for roughly the same price I had a Nav Verandah for 5 nights on the Magic (plus I get to avoid Marvel stuff) - and decidedly less than I could do even an Ocean View on the Fantasy for 7 nights (and I get to avoid Star Wars).

There are options out there if you're willing to branch out. I've decided to do some cruises for less and save for special Disney ones where I can splurge rather than do everything on Disney and only go every few years. It's all about choices.

I thought the point of this thread was to complain about those insane prices, not to be told that it’s summer and of course prices are insane, and that prices increase on everything. I’m sure we all know that. I’m just here to complain and appreciate there’s a thread for that!

Yup summer prices are insane.

We are doing the transatlantic this septemeber for an oceanview its like 155 PP PN. Half of 9 night Greek isle. Yeah Greek isle is awesome but I dont know if I could pay double for port heavy experiences when I am paying half for the same ship. Mind boggling. But if I had the money to blow I might

Is this post really necessary? The thread title is very clear. I'm sure posters who are feeling a bit priced out do not need you to smack their fingers and state the obvious. :sad2: Just let folks have a place to vent without judgement. Is that so hard?
