We were just at the Poly. I requested 1st or 3rd floor Samoa with volcano pool view. When we checked in the CM said "Oh boy you got a great room" She then said 1607 Samoa. I was happy. If they had asked me to pick a room. It would have been that one.

Great location!! It was near the pool (see pic below) and near Captain Cooks.

Great pics.... please keep 'em coming! They are beautiful. what a view you had from your room!!

We are going in Dec. The question I have is, is there an elevator for "special needs" guests? Has anyone ever stayed in a "special needs" room? Any help would be helpful. Thank you!

There is an elevator in Hawaii but there are no accessible rooms in that longhouse unfortunately. However, if something like a transfer bench will meet your needs, the Polynesian will supply that.

DisneyDad in PA, great pictures. The waterfall photo should be framed!:thumbsup2

Here is my first strange observation.

When charging to your room you are given a $1500 limit. I was under the impression that once you reach that limit they charge your card and you start over again. I was using my room key to buy cologne at epcot when i was told the transaction was denied.
When i got back I asked at the concierge desk and was told that when you reach that limit you have to come to desk and have them charge your credit card. She said they wont do it automatically.
i thought that was wierd but ok. Then because my card hadn't been charged yet I wanted to put cash on my account instead of charging the full $1500 to my card. I had been charging all our meals and my sister in law was giving me cash for her share.
She told me that couldnt be done and they had to charge the card but again not until i come in and ask them to charge it. All sounded strange to me; How would I know how close I am to my limit without tracking every meal, toy, gift and mickey ice cream bar i bought?

who ever told you that is wrong
we stayed GF concierge in july and when we checked in we put down 1500 in cash.

Can anyone tell me about there experiences w a MK view? Is it comparable to the view from LVC? And if you've done it would you book it again! And I'm assuming it's the Tahiti bldg? Thanks to all in advance! and p.s. if anyone has any pic's I'd love to see them! Angel

Does anyone know if there is a two sink vanity outside the bathroom? Or.. are the sinks located in the bathroom?
Am thinking about the Poly as a possibility and with 4 people it's nice to have sinks outside the BR.
thanks!!!

Thanks for the reply wicked wench. I realy wanted the Poly but it's too inconvenient to go into the BR to use the sinks with 4 people in a room.
* Oh Piffle!!!!*:sad:

Oh well. WL here we come!:cool2:
thanks again for your response.:wave2:

Well, we are doing just that.. we have 4 of us staying at the poly this year, and it will definately take some getting use to, for the sink situation.. but, as i am watching Wishes on my balcony at night, i think the "sink issues" of the day will disappear! LOL ;) :)

Just wanted to say- thanks for all the help in answering my question.

I still dream of the Poly but my DBF and I decided that we will hold out until we are either heading to WDW when we have more money or going on a Disney Cruise someday. If we do head out next Spring/Summer I think we will stick to a mod to save some money-- maybe try Port Orleans this time.

Thanks for everything! I will be back someday! ;)

Hey Poly people!

I just booked the Poly (GV) for the FIRST TIME! I will be going solo, and requested a garden (no parking lot) view and a balcony.

Any tips on the Poly?

Much thanks ... and soooo excited!

Dumb question here.. but what do they use for shampoo and such at the Poly? Is conciege stuff different than the regular rooms or are they using the same stuff? I know that the DVC i stayed at on HHI used H2O products ( a blue shampoo, white conditioner, and blue shower gel..) but i know on the DCL they use some different H20 products too..
So, inquiring minds want to know! LOL

Here's what we had in our concierge room in July:

Shower Gel, Shampoo, Lotion, Conditioner, Bath soap, Facial soap, After Sun Gel, and Mouthwash. They're not all in this picture, but we were given them at different times during the trip.

Just got back this morning. This was our first time staying here. We were in the Tahiti building room 3030. We loved it, will book it again in February 09. Watching the fireworks from the balcony was awesome, no crowds to fight. Here are a couple of pictures.

Those are some nice pictures so thank you for taking the time to post them. :thumbsup2

SeaSpray, thanks for the pic!! Those are the ones that i got staying at HHI DVC,and the ones my inlaws brought back before from the DCL,but this time they brought back much larger sizes and different shaped bottles from H2O. So, i didnt know if they switched or if that is just for concierge DCL guests?
