Edited to add: AND we decided to really live it up and used valet parking. They were WONDERFUL and we were only charged $7.00 for 6 days!

QUESTION:If you use valet parking when you arrive, and don't move your car for the entire trip, are you still only charged $7.00 for the length of your stay? :confused3[/QUOTE]

Yes. It's per day. Even if you don't drive your car. Which we did. It wasn't even the first day that we were charged for. It was really weird. A nice perk. When we picked up our car on the last day we asked them about paying. They said it's included in our bill(which was packed away) and if it wasn't on there then it's on the house. :thumbsup2

Who do you guys use for having special goodies ordered for the room? This is sort of a late anniversary trip (or early 2nd yr.) and I'm thinking of surprising my DH with something special in the room.

You don't have to Valet do you? I don't mind the regular lot. We have strong backs (and would prefer to spend my $32 elsewhere).

No you don't have to use valet parking. We parked the car ourselves and used it several times during our stay. Sometimes it can be hard to find a good parking space but if you don't use it, it shouldn't be a problem.

I read somewhere, may have been Tikiman's website, that they were also redoing the furniture in the lobby.

Did I dream that?

Hi I love the picture of your dog. So cute. :goodvibes No you did not dream that. Tikiman has added information and pictures to his site about the new lobby furniture. He also said there are a bunch of hidden Mickey's in the new lobby. I can't wait for our trip. :Pinkbounc

Thank you (and to the OP too!)! She's pretty darn special to me!

I haven't gotten on his site in awhile; I need to go check it out!

I have used the Disney Florist. They are very good. Here is a link to their site. http://www.disneyflorist.com/?website_id=485745524856546565 They have many great designs for baskets, flowers and goodies. They will work with you too on items you want added, just give them a call.

I have a company I am checking into right now that is just starting up. Once I have more info I will come back and post.

Hope this helps.

I am sure that this question has already been posted even on this thread, but please, so SORRY! :teeth: I don't have time to read 80pp.
Do all the rooms in the Poly have refrigerators now? THANKS a BUNCH! :teeth:

what is the difference between LV and MK view? If you can see the castle from all LV why pay more for MK view? princess:

I don't remember if Tahiit has closed yet. If not, that building would still not have them. All the others do now. And even in Tahiti, you can just request one.

Apparently, the rooms that are labeled MK have a completely unobstructed view of the castle. Some rooms have bushes or the occasional palm tree that obstruct the view of the castle to some degree.

The room we stayed in (Hawaii bldg) which was renovated had only 1 sink.

Rarotonga was renovated and we had 1 sink as well.

Does anyone know if the rennovations at Captain Cooks are complete? We are heading back on Wed!

No changes in the sinks. The original longhouses still have one sink, Tahiti and Rapa Nui have two with the exception of the accessible rooms which have one. I always forget whether Tokelau has one or two but it is probably two.

Just got back yesterday from 10 wonderful days at the Poly. CCs is still in its temp location. Thankfully no long lines there like it was in July though. The pool was pretty empty because of the cooler winds. Even though it was 88 degrees all week the winds make the pool very cold! We only went in twice which is highly unusual. Everything was booked as far as rooms go when we checked in.

So---

1. what kind of stuff should I bring for walking to the pool? Last year I was not well-equipped for POR and that annoyed me. I am guessing that flip flops for DH and I, and water shoes for DD4 would do the footwear thing. But my main concern is cover-ups. Can we walk to the pools in swimsuits with just a sarong and duck into Captain Cooks like that, too? Seriously. I am into being appropriately dressed. Should we bring more "serious" coverups or does the Polynesian have a "beach" feeling to it everywhere?

2. Do I need to bring my own pool toys/ beach toys?

3. Any warnings/ advice re: Staples water?

4. Any other must haves?
