Have fun shopping Tamie! Come back and post what you bought. I am now a "vicarious" shopper until it's GymBucks redemption time. :teeth:

Yeah right. Mom is coming on Thursday and she wants to check out the Gymboree racks too. Perfect time to get a couple pieces of the Pool Party line maybe. I am sick I tell you, and yet, Tasha, I don't want an intervention! :p I hate to say it guys, cause it sounds like I have zippo life, but with DH gone for so long, shopping has become my little fun thing to do every couple of weeks. My break from day after day of kidzone and no partner to share in the monotony of childrearing. I was telling that to the Gymboree lady, how DH greenlighted the shopping trip. The lady behind me said, "Oh my DH will not be happy when he sees the credit card bill." I said, "Well, my DH is in Iraq and he knows that shopping is something fun & lighthearted for me to do..." And the other lady and the Gymboree manager thought that was so sweet.

I look at those GymboHaven boards and think, "Now THERE are some ladies who are VERY serious about their Gymboree!" :teeth: And I will soon be one of them! :rotfl: JK. Kinda.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!
Jimmy doesn't recognize that mommy doesn't have work today and was up bright and early. Oh well, it just gave me a head start on doing all the stuff that needs to be done.
We had a little cook out last night, so I'm cleaning up the stuff I was too tired to get last night. My DS and I are hitting the mall for a little bit this morning. I have a coupon for the Gap, and she's got one for the Children's Place. I'm also going to scope out Gymboree to see if there's anything on the clearance rack I can put away for next year.
My DM is having all of us over for lunch today. DH went fishing at 5 this morning, and little does he know, but he's on daddy duty this afternoon.
I need some time in the sun. I'm so pale.
Hope you're all having a good holiday!

I wanted to wish everyone a relaxing Memorial Day.
Lissawynn - Have fun shopping! Aidan received so many outfits as gifts that I feel to guilty to go shopping for him. He really doesn't need anything. It's hard to have the will power though.

I had to report that Aidan smiled for the first time yesterday. He did it four times (but who's counting?). He hasn't smiled directly at me yet though. Instead, my ceiling fan received the first smiles. He just loves that fan. He kicks his feet and waves his arms and tries to talk to it. It's very cute. He is six weeks today. That means he's supposed to sleep throught the night, right? Ha! Ha! I don't think this child will ever sleep through the night. He is very difficult.

As a side note, I took my older DS and my DD to see Madagascar yesterday. I thought it was terrible! If you are thinking of taking your older children, I wouldn't bother. I thought it was boring and a little dark.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning mommies! Lily was doing better about sleeping, but started going backwards again.

The good news is we are getting so close at finising the addtion on house. In a few weeks we will be able to have the baby in her onw room where her crying won't bother her sister so much (The plan is for both of them to share the big upstairs bedroom to be close to us, but her big sister wants to stay on the 1st floor bedroom until Lily is sleeping better.) Poor girl, she never complains about it, but I know it bugs her.

So that means we are painting again, we have been all weekend. The girls room is pink and purple, and I am done with that. Today I have to do trim and finish our bedroom. So in 2 weeks we should be sleeping in our new room, with our new king size bed (big enough for all of us to cuddle in the morning!) and able to take baths in our new jacuzzi tub! I can't wait. :cheer2: And the good news is I will actually have a place for all of Lily's adorable baby cothes (instead of lundry baskets.) :Pinkbounc

This has been so long in coming. (lets just say longer then a human gestation period.)

DisKim~ Kylie smiles a lot in her sleep but she hasn't actually smiled at us directly yet either. I get so excited to see her smile when she is dreaming that I can only imagine how excited I will be when she finally smiles at me! Amazing what makes my day now that we have a baby...lol! ;)

Lissawynn~ Enjoy your time in the sun! You deserve it!

DisneyPhD~ Good luck with your house! At least it won't be long now!

Have a great Memorial Day everyone!

Kona is soooo cute! And it looks like you have good helpers with bro & sis! :goodvibes

floridafam - Kona is soooo cute and I absolutely love her name.

I am so mad right now. I posted about this on the community board. We just got back from a Memorial Day barbeque at a neighbor's house. A boy from our neighborhood who is 9 punched my son, who just turned five, in the face! He has a handprint and a bruise on his beautiful little face. I'm seriously pained by this. How can someone hit my little boy?! We tried to let things slide but when we got home and I got a good look at that bruise, I went back over to the neighbor's house and gave her a piece of my mind in front of everyone. I had been feeding Aidan and my DH handled the situation. I didn't know until later that this boy's parents did not discipline him at all. I told his mother that my son was injured and she had better talk to her son so this doesn't happen again. Needless to say, my kids are strictly forbidden from playing with their kids ever again. I swear, I want to move. These people need parenting classes, or at least Nanny 911 :sad2:

DisKim Parents who allow their children to hit other kids need something more than just Nanny 911. I hope your son is ok. You have to wonder where these kids learn violence.
My DH has three nieces and two nephews who are constantly hitting/punching/pulling hair, etc. I am very worried about allowing Jimmy to play with them when he's older. Two of the kids are always scratched and bruised because of the damage they are inflicting on one another. I've already addresses this with DH. I will flip the crazy switch if Jimmy is ever marked up because of them.

Alice28 I was back at Gymboree yesterday. I earned another Gymbuck :sad2: . I have to stop shopping for Jimmy. He has enough summer stuff now. I am sure of it.

Almost worse then him getting hurt is him starting to behave the same way and think nothing is wrong with it.

My oldest DD has a cousin that is 13 months older then her. She is always picking up her behaviors and it drives me nuts. I am not sure if she gets it all from her cousin, or just that since her cousin is older she "gets there 1st". Either way it drives me nuts (no hitting, more attitude stuff.)

DisKim- I would have been furious had some kid punched my 5 year old in the face. I'm glad you went back there and gave her a piece, and I would agree that your child shouldn't play over there until some serious changes are made. I found out earlier this year that my 6 year old cussed at a 12 year old and I was mortified he had done that; until I found out he did it cause the 12 year old was shoving him every day at the bus stop on the way home. So then I marched over to their house to let them know why my kid cussed (it's completely out of character for him; I won't say I never cuss, but he knows it's an "adult" thing and it's wrong cause I apologize if I do it in front of him). But luckily these parents were on the ball and disciplined their son too, and it hasn't happened again.
Your poor baby with the bruise on his face.... :sad2:

Lisawynn- it's an addiction, isn't it? Esp with these Gymbuck incentives. I went back, again, yesterday, but I didn't spend any money. I just exchanged a dress I bought on a whim 6 weeks ago and I decided I didn't like it that much (it was for next summer so the tags were still on). I got another onesie & some socks. :p

Alice28 When I was home for lunch the Fed Ex man delivered the stuff I ordered from Gymboree online. I wanted to make sure I didn't buy anything at the store that I'd already ordered. I have to say that I am justifying my purchases by saying that when we're in WDW Jimmy can wear all the cute onesie shirts alone, avoiding the added heat of shorts.

Have you bought your DD any of those adorable clothes with the Hawaiian prints on them? They are so cute. It would be nice to have a daughter to dress up, but I wouldn't trade my little man for anything.

Today was my last cafeteria duty of the year! Having three cafe. duties a week, especially when pg, was no fun. Thank goodness the year is almost over!

Yep, I got Molly some of the Hawaiian line; I got her the onesie that says "Aloha," some orange terry shorts to go with, & the hibiscus socks for this summer, and the orange lei romper for next year. One of those dresses is on my mental maybe list for next time. What was really killing me was the beach line for both baby girls & boys. I bought the sandals, romper, tank & capris for this summer. Reading the gymbohaven boards, there is a darling new line coming out on the 7th  . (involving cherries for newborn sizes & more aloha stuff for baby & kid girl). For baby boys I bought one of those blue background 'camp' woven shirts, the matching t & shorts for my neighbor's baby. SO cute! I got the same outfit in the bigger boy for my 4 year old. DS7 has outgrown the sizes there. :sad2: What lines did you love for Jimmy?

I think my Fedex man will be here today with my online order according to the tracking. :cheer2:

Alice28 I bought Jimmy a few of the things from the Camping line. I'm not "up" in the names of all of the lines. I also bought him some of the stuff with the bugs on it. I'll have to get my Gymbo lingo down :teeth: .

I'll have to keep ordering stuff online. My Fed Ex guy is a hottie! :teeth:

Kona and Molly are adorable!!!

Diskim - that's horrible! I hope things get resolved.

Well, I didn't find anything at Gymboree. I shopped the clearance racks and the infant stuff was very picked over. I did find a few things at the Gap though. I had a $5 coupon that I just had to use ;)

Tyler is very close to smiling too, I can't wait.

He slept for 4 1/2 hours for this first shift last night. Then he was up 2 hours later though and fussy, but I don't know why :(

I bought some fenugreek and started taking it. It hasn't kicked in yet. I really hope this helps, I'll keep you guys posted.

Enjoy your day!

tamie

Tamie- good for you for keeping up with the breastfeeding route! You are a TROOPER!

I used that $5 coupon at Gap too....$46 later... :rolleyes1 the one I had said I only had to spend $10 to get the $5 off....but I didn't quite adhere to the $10 I was going to spend. Too many good deals for the boys.

I am just now learning the Gymbo lingo...I'm a lurker on those Gymbohaven boards, and I am constantly going "huh?" at some of the abbreviations they are using. :confused3 But I am learning! Someone over there posted that there are supposedly deep markdowns happening Wednesday night. How they get this info is beyond me; they must be friends with store managers or something. At any rate, I should stay far, far away, but will most likely be looking online around 9pm Wednesday (the sales prices go into effect at midnight eastern time...). :earboy2: Too many other expenses in the next two weeks to spend any at Gymbo, but it's fun too look. :teeth:

I just got back from the P.O. mailing my DH 3 packages for his birthday. What a nightmare. Long lines. My 4 year old whining he wanted to go. Molly screaming her head off (usually she falls asleep in the car; not to be this time). Me being told I filled out the wrong custom's form and to please step aside and fill out new ones; while I am holding Molly trying to comfort her. And it was hot in there. And Josh pulling on my leg.... :sad2: Not a good scene. But, it's done and hopefully he will get all his goodies by his birthday, which is, appropriately enough for a man so patriotic, Flag Day. :sunny: The big 3-6, spending it sweating his brains out in Iraq.

I'm thinking we're going to need a Gymboree intervention here soon ;) Aidan doesn't need clothes now but he will in the fall. Alice 28 - Keep us posted on those sales! I just got back from BRU. I bought a jogging stroller and I'm ready to get the OK from my doctor tomorrow to exercise. Aidan took a fit in the store. It was pretty funny. All the pregnant moms in the store looked horrified. He usually likes to go out but I think he had gas. He's been sleeping for two hours now. I think his little tantrum exhausted him. He is such a gassy baby. I didn't think breastfed babies got gas like that. My other two didn't. I don't think he's colicky because even though he cries alot, he's not inconsolable. I feel so bad for him.

Lissawynn - Congrats on the last cafeteria duty. It's hell, isn't it? I hope you don't get it again next year! I had study hall this year and I think it was even worse. It was a room full of kids that failed or dropped out of regular classes. The last I heard, they have been smoking in my classroom and throwing my books out the window at teachers - this is with the substitute there!!

Wow, such cute pics of babies lately!

I guess it is good that we don't have a Gymboree where I live or I would be spending too much too, I am sure. My best friend did order Kylie a cute little outfit from there online and I love it. I am literally forcing myself to stay off their website b/c I know I would get hooked and we are still waiting for Dh's raise to go through before we could afford it!

DisKim~ Wow! I would have definitely given those parents a piece of my mind too! It reminds me of Dh's stepbrother and his wife. They couldn't have kids so they adopted a little boy. He is now 10 years old and literally a living nightmare! They don't discipline him at all and he hits, kicks, etc. And he has the smartest mouth ever! He tells his parents to shut up and that they are stupid, etc. They never do anything! He is adopted so they let him do and have anything he wants. He was really jealous when Dh's sister had a little boy. Her little boy is now 4 and the 10 year old got jealous this past Christmas b/c they were paying attention to him so he tried to ruin his Christmas by telling him that Santa isn't real! His parents just laughed while the 4 year old's parents had to try to undo the damage. On top of that the 10 year old's mom still hasn't tried to see Kylie. Apparently (according to Dh's stepfather) she has always wanted to adopt another child but her Dh refuses so she can't handle being around babies right now b/c it makes her depressed. I feel for her but I can't blame her Dh for not wanting any more. The one they have is a handful! I dread how their kid will act when Christmas gets here this year. He is jealous if he isn't getting all the attention and of course the baby will probably be the center of attention ths year. Anyway, I am just glad you said something to the parents!
