Good morning everyone :goodvibes

Justhat - Those pictures are great! I love the one of Madison crying because we have many of those with Connor in the same state...and the ones of Henry in his Santa suit in the Bumbo are adorable!

Jill - love your pics too and of course I LOVE the one of you and the girls eating the Kitchen Sink, and before I read what you had said about it I thought hmmmm, that is similar to my shot but she looks great! I am so happy you guys were able to make the trip and had a good time. And also that the CP was as good as you'd hoped. I just love that show and will not miss it and would love to see Gary Sinese! AND most importantly - CONGRATS on that A+!!!

Diskim - About the shrinky dinks - gosh - I have not heard of those since I was a little girl, long ago. I used to love those things!

Vald - I am sorry you are still feeling so sick. Will you have to work tomorrow if you are still feeling this bad? I hope not and hope you recover soon!

GM - I am also sorry Olivia is not sleeping well for you. I recall all too well the same with Cameryn earlier this year and I was crying at times from lack of sleep. I hope she starts sleeping more for you soon at night! Did you and your sis have a fun sleepover?

lissa - I never knew Coach made coats! I would love to see it...do you have a link to a photo of one?

Robin - I can't believe you've got your tree down! :worship: How are your Ebay sales going today? Did you list winter or Spring items? I need to list some stuff too!

SL - I can't believe the paycheck issue is not resolved for you yet! That stinks!

BNB - are you excited for your trip? When do you leave excatly?

joats - we have no plans really for NYE either. We are going to my Dad's to spend time with my sister and BIL before they leave for New York. We are going to play it by ear but might try and go to dinner, but I anticipate being in bed before midnight as I usually am.

FF - what are you selling on Ebay? Didn't you sell a double stroller back a fe months ago? I ask because we have a Maclaren Twin Traveller that we BARELY used and I need to get rid of it. I am thinking of trying craigslist too because I am concerned on how I would ship this stoller.

Hi to the moms I missed! :flower3:

DH is at the doctor so I need to run and save the kids from hurting themselves! They are playing with toys inside the house they should be playing with outside, like Connor's bat and balls.

Have a good day ladies!

zalansky,

I'm selling a special wheel you put on your bike during triathlons for better speed or something like that.

Yes, I sold our stroller. It was a BOB Ironman jogging stroller and it was huge! It did fold up and the wheels came off to ship it so that helped. I sold it for around $300 and shipping was around $30.

Mornin!

Alisa- I'm so sorry Jimmy has been sick all week. Poor little guy. How are you feeling? Are you just ready to have Annabell? How many more weeks are you going to work? And then is your dad going to watch Jimmy & Annabell (forgive me if I spelled this wrong.....I always forget how you are going to spell it) for you? Hope you are able to spend some gift cards today.

Z- I just checked my ebay sales, and so far so good. Every auction has watchers (I have 15 auctions) and one has 19 watchers! That's the summer safari aqua dress with a few other pieces from that line. The pink Little Lady dress is already up to $22.50 with 11 watchers....I am including the sweater and 2 bottoms as well though, so that's not just for the dress.I think I'm up to $62 now, with 5 days to go. :cool1: Oh, and it's spring clothes.

Kim- hope the returns go well. :wizard: The stores weren't that crowded the last two days my MIL and I went shopping.

SL- irritating the rest of your paycheck issue didn't get cleared up by today. :sad2:

Justhat- cute pictures! We had some of that same Mickey paper. I love Henry in his Bumbo seat- too funny!

Well, I need to sign off for now. No big plans today. MIL and DH are going to lunch together & I need to finish up cleaning up Christmas stuff and get to Costco for a few things. I wish I didn't have to, but we're almost out of a few things.

Nucpharm- I’ve never heard of cats being bothered by people like that, especially in a 7000 ft house—you could fit several of my house in there!

Justhat- Your children are so cute. I love the lobster onsie you had on Henry! Oh, and his santa suit is too cute!

Lissawynn- glad to hear that the house is almost complete. I’m sorry Jimmy is sick though.

DisKim- Good luck with the returns. I’m not going near the mall after I saw the lines of cars trying to get there yesterday.

SL- I hope they give you something extra after all this delay with your paycheck!

Zalansky- The sleepover went ok. DSis was tired, so I let her go to bed after “Phil of the Future.” My mom actually bought a McClaren twin off of ebay about a year ago. I think the shipping was $25-$30. It was used, but in great condition, and I think she paid about $220 for it.

Well the sleeping situation actually got worse last night. Olivia went to sleep around 10 pm, and DH brought her up into her crib. He said she fussed a little, but he was able to leave her there. I hung out with my sister until around 11, and then went upstairs to work on a little cross-stitch and hang out with DH. Just before 12, DH is about to get frisky and he says “I hear the baby.” I seriously did a double take- even on our toughest nights she usually makes it until 2:30-3 am. So yeah, she and I were awake pretty much straight through until 6ish. She wanted to nurse CONSTANTLY… and by nursing, it meant drinking a little and then gnawing at me (I’m guessing this has to do with the teeth). She kept falling asleep on my lap and then fussing when I put her down. She would lay down, but only if she was snuggled up AND I was holding her hands AND sometimes petting her head. Then she’d want to nurse again. The poor kid was miserable. By 6 am I was starting to lose it from exhaustion and sore breasts.
That’s when DH got up, made some formula and started walking around the room feeding her. Again, she went to sleep, but would only stay if he held her hands, etc. By 6:30 she was finally out (and so was I). I made it through until 9 am, sleeping like a ROCK! Then I heard the garbage truck and woke up to find my room full of light. I looked at the clock and misread it and thought it was 11 am! I can’t even tell you how delirious I’ve been all day.
We made it through the morning, though REALLY late, and DSIL picked up Olivia for the day. I warned her that she may be in for a tough day with all the teething and misery. Poor Livvie is all out of sorts. She whined during breakfast, whined on the potty, and keeps giving me these pleading looks.
At this rate, I will be going to bed at 9 pm tonight. I really don’t know what to do to make sleeping easier. Maybe try to keep her up later at night so she’ll be more tired?

In any case, the office building is almost empty because most people must have gotten a 4 day weekend, but I’m stuck here doing end of the year work! BLAHHHH!

Alice- I took a look at some of your gymbo stuff.. too cute! I might just pick up that Hawaiian dress, it's so adorable.

GM- real quick as I am supposed to already be gone, but, yes, the Hawaiian dress is so cute. It was one of my faves for Molly because it hangs really cute on! I bought it when I thought we would be going to Hawaii last year....Oh well! I think I had the swimsuit too, but I sold it to J&D cause Molly outgrew it before she could wear it. :sad2:

I only have a few hours left to get everything cleaned up in my house but I wanted to send you lots of hugs Ginamarie! Madison went through a phase like that around 5.5 months old and then again around 9 months. It was miserable and I have no explanation as to what was up with her nor why she went back to normal (well, normal for her). In the meantime it drove me insane. Obviously I have no advice since nothing I did worked with Madison, but wanted to send some hugs your way cause I know how frustrating that time was for me.

Oh, and for Henry (though not really Madison) he sleeps better if I put him to bed earlier rather than later. I started him out with a bedtime around 8pm and found that he slept longer and better the earlier I moved it. He now goes to bed at 6:30 and sleeps till at least 1:30. Generally he'll sleep till 5:30ish but on and since the WDW trip he's been waking between 1:30 and 4:30 again. So if a later bedtime doesn't work then maybe try an earlier one and see how that goes.

Alice, I looked at your ebay listing. Some very cute stuff (and most in Lily's size.) Let me know if anything doesn't sell and I might buy it off you with out having to go through ebay. I have been looking on ebay for a dress for Anna. It is an Disney print lulua dress. I have a dress for me and a shirt for Paul in the same print. Anna had a dress too, but it fits Lily now. I just need to find something for Anna. I found it once, but let myself get out bid because it was a tad small for Anna. I would rather go big then small. I haven't seen it since. My dress is way to big on me know. I am considering cutting it up and sewing it into a skirt and tank top.

Paul is off to the doctor this afternoon to see if he can get something to kick this before our trip (or at least antibiotics to take with us.) Lily seem to be getting better so I am going to hold of on taking and revaluate on Tuesday before we leave. I feel fine, I am chalking it up to all the homeopathic things I have been doing lately.

Justthat, I found the same thing too. Infact even now if the girls go to bed late they wake up earlier instead of sleeping in. Sometimes the earlier you put them down, the better it works.

Hey all!

I'm recovering from my workout today--a 12 miler--and I think the plan is to take the kids to Chuck E Cheese (God, help me) or the park in a few! I don't think my legs will be able to take the abuse!

Alice--Good luck with the Ebay-ing! Sounds like you've got some good stuff there!

lissawyn--Great to hear from you! How much longer do you have??? How exciting that little Annabelle will be here shortly!

Well, Matthew is stirring so I must go--Have a wonderful afternoon ladies!!

Hi Mommies,

Just got back from the consignment shop. Once again, I'm baffled by some of the stuff they didn't take. A brand new Gymboree top still in the bag??? WTH?

Robin,

You've got some really cute stuff listed. I wish it was Kona's size.

nucpharm,

Congrats on the workout.

It's rainy and blah here today and I just want to crawl on the couch and watch a movie.

Talk to ya later.

Please tell me Sees Candy is worth it. I just spent $42 on candy ($10 to ship) It seems like a lot but I'm looking forward to getting it.

:)

Good afternoon moms!

I hope that everyone is doing well this afternoon. :) I wonder what J&D is doing in WDW at the moment? I hope that she is having an amazing trip!

Val - I'm so sorry to hear that you are still feeling rotten. If you don't feel better within the next 24 hours, you might need to go back to the doctor to get a stronger antibiotic. A few years back I was sick and went through many a medication before I was better. I actually ended up in the hospital getting a spinal tap b/c whatever I had got so bad. I'll say some prayers that you feel better asap! :grouphug:

Ginamarie - I feel for you with Olivia not sleeping for you! :grouphug: I think that the hardest thing for me was John's terrible sleeping habits in his first year. I hope that Olivia sleeps better for you tonight so you can get some much needed rest!

DisKim - How did the returns go today?

Lissawynn - It is great to hear from you! I'm sorry that Jimmy has been sick all week. Were you ever able to get out today?

Justhat - I remember seeing Santa and Mickey at the GF on Christmas Eve. I was upstairs near the band watching all of the people meet and greet Santa and Mickey! It is too bad that I didn't see you. BTW, your pictures are adorable!

GLT - Where are you? We miss you!

IceBrat - I hope that all is well with you!

Zalansky - How is your dad doing today? I hope that you are able to get out with your sis and her dh this weekend. Are your sisters going to come back again soon?

SL - Sorry to hear that the paycheck is still messed up. Pixie dust your way that it gets fixed very soon. :wizard:

DisneyPhd - I hope that everyone is on the mend in your house!

Floridafam - See's candy is worth it! :thumbsup2

Robin - It sounds like you are doing great on your E-bay auctions! I really need to look into selling on E-baby one day.

Nucpharm - 12 miles! Wow! You are my hero!! :cheer2: I really need to exercise again.

The kids and I went to get our new glasses today and the total for everything came to $800! :scared1: I about had a heart attack. Of course, my contacts were about $300 of that and the girls got the 2 pair of glasses for $99 and I bought two pair of glasses that weren't on sale, but HOLY MOLY! I need to find a cheaper place to buy glasses. I haven't told my dh about it yet. Of course, if I had waited until next week I could have used our flex account but I wanted to get the glasses earlier. :rolleyes1 I guess we will be eating Ramen noodles for awhile! ;)

I hope that all the moms are doing well! Everyone have a great afternoon! Any fun weekend plans for you all?

Robin - I also took a look at your Gymbo listings! If Cam didn't already have so much I'd be buying some too. She already has that Aloha Wahine outfit and also the Little Lady skirt and jeans. Good luck with your selling.

Jill - thanks for asking about my Dad. He is the same. Hospice comes to his home daily now and does his nursing care. In my opinion he is declining but no one will give us a time frame on how long he has. His appetite is getting worse by the minute and he looks really bad. On Xmas Day he barely smiled. I am sure there is some depression going on there but he doesn't talk about death or dying, instead he talks about playing golf and driving again soon. I guess its denial. :confused3 My sister and BIl leave next week and then another sister flies in next weekend for 4 days. That has been the one positive of all of this, is spending alot of time with my sisters and getting to see them so much more than we usually do because of distance. I will miss that if and when this all ends.

FF - Robin can tell you about Sees...I still have not tried it! Enjoy!

See you later....gotta run!

HI Ladies,

I've been meaning to post today, on my lunch hour, however it's now close to quittin' time and i've been so busy today!!!!

Jill - I wanted to tell you that I love the new pics from WDW at Christmas. Your new shorter hairstyle is very flattering on you also - thanks again for sharing your pictures with us. WTG John on the crawling!!! How exciting. Sorry he crawled off the bed though. :headache:

Justine - SO cute! I laughed out loud at the picture of Madison having her "moment". What a cute picture! Your kids are just adorable.

Alice - Good luck with your Ebay sales. I'm going to start back up again in January with some sales - I did pretty well a few months ago with some random things I had and I have a huge lot of summer maternity clothes to sell that are in great shape. Some of the things I only wore once or twice because my size changed kind of drastically near the end of my pregnancy and I needed some tops. I'd like to at least make $75 -$100 for the Disney trip but i'm not sure if I can get that much stuff together to sell.

J&D - I hope you're having a great time at WDW!!

Lissawynn - Sorry you're feeling so yucky. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Nuchpharm - 12 miles - you are the exercise goddess of the Mom's board!! :yay: :yay: Have fun at CEC's. We went there last week for the first time in about a year and the kids had a good time.

Val - I agree with Jill that a different or new antibiotic may be in order. Take care of yourself so you can enjoy your weekend!

DisneyPhD - Glad to hear everyone is doing well in your household also. It seems that so many different sicknesses are making the rounds!

Floridafam - I've never been to a consignment shoppe, but i'd think that Gymboree clothing would be at a premium. Maybe you'll do better selling it on Ebay?

Ginamarie - :grouphug: . I know how hard it is to have a baby who just doesn't sleep. Liam was never a good sleeper and he wanted 1-2 bottles every night. He also woke up with any and every little noise (the heat clicking on, me walking on the floorboards, etc). Unfortunately you'll just have to ride it out. Liam didn't sleep through the night more than 3 times in the first 365 days of his life. Sad but true. Hang in there and come vent to us anytime.

SL - Payroll at year end can be tricky - I hope you get it resolved soon. Good thing you are a millionaire and only work for the fun of it ;) .

Zalansky - You can Ebay the stroller but specify "Pick Up" only. You'd be surprised how far people will travel, and IMO you'd get more for it through Ebay. I wanted to tell you in that picture that you can definitely tell that you and your sister are "sisters". That picture still makes me crack up!

Tamie - When do you go to Mexico? You must be so excited!

Hi to all the other mommies!!!! There are so many of us here now!!!!

NYE - We always go to my friend's house who has kids and play games and eat for hours on end. Last year the kids stayed awake and we left her house at 12:02. It's always fun and the kids have a ball running around. I'm not sure what the baby will do this year, because he never stays up late. Maybe i'll bring along the pack and play? We'll see.

Have a super weekend everyone - I probably won't be checking in until Monday at the earliest. :goodvibes :)

Loretta,

Sorry about your Dad. I'm sure some of it is denial but that's not always a bad thing. I'm sure that is his way of coping. I'll continue to keep all of you in my thoughts.

jill,

$800. :scared1: :scared1: I would faint.

Well, I got a few returns done but I chickened out of going to the mall.

I am so darn tired lately. I mean abnormally tired. I slept well, drank coffee and Rock Star. What else am I supposed to do?? It is that kind of tired you get when you are pregnant. KWIM? I am certainly not pregnant though. I know that for sure. It's annoying. I have to take this dog to training tonight and I feel like I can barely drive.

nucpharm - 12 miles!! You're amazing!

Zalansky- I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.

Hillbeans - I'm a 12:02 type of person myself. I was hoping to stay home this year but it looks like my uncle is having a kid-friendly party so we might go to that. I just get scared to drive home with the kids on NYE.

Jill - OMG! Glasses are so expensive! I want the laser eye surgery so I don't have to deal with it anymore.

Well, I better go. Emmy has riding and I have to deal with the dog.

Nuc- have you had to leave breadcrumbs for yourself in that 7000 sq foot home? TWELVE MILES! WOW! I did 2.5 with weights yesterday and I was dying.

FF- You know I will tell you See's is worth it. Better than it's sister San Fran chocolate, Gharardelli (I know I botched the spelling on that one). Better than Godiva. Twenty times better than Hershey's. You will love it. I just ate the last piece of our Christmas 1 lb box. I think I ate all but about 6 pieces of it. :scared1:

PhD- I'll let you know if anything doesn't sell from my stuff. I hope your DH is feeling better ASAP.

Val- I'm so sorry you are still so miserable. Were you able to get in to a doctor today?

Hi Hillary! You should try and sell some of your maternity clothes- it often goes for decent prices.

Jill- $800! Ouch! Having kids certainly isn't cheap, is it? I too hope J&D is having lots'o fun at WDW right now. Maybe she is getting ready for a nice dinner.

Z- I'm still so sorry about your Dad, but it is nice that you are getting some sister time in. Hang in there my friend!

GLT- are you back from Ohio? How is it going at home? I hope all is peaceful as far as the soon to be X goes. :wizard:

Hi to all the other Moms!

I took the kids to Target quickly before Costco. We weren't even going to look at the toys, but Sam still had his $10 gift card from his uncle to spend. Oh-my-gosh. I just about died. You know those star wars figures I was running around like an idiot trying to find for Josh, and then finally ordered off a specialty toy website? Target had them. First time I had EVER seen them in ANY store. And not only that.....THEY WERE ON CLEARANCE FOR $10! I paid (well my mom and MIL paid) $25 a pop! I just stood there staring at them for a good 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I them had the brilliant idea of calling my mom and asking her to do a search on ebay for them....they still sell for $20-30 a box (they are boxes with 10 little guys in them). So I bought all the guys at Target and they are up on ebay now. I felt slightly guilty because it would have been SUCH a find for some mom whose little boy liked them, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make some more WDW money. I'm sure if I didn't buy them to sell, someone else would have. People had CARTFULS of stuff. It was a-mazing.

I feel self-conscious now that I all I ever do is gab here about fluffy stuff. :confused3

Anyway, back to cleaning up Christmas.

Hillbeans - we do look alike! She doesn't think so, but we all do....3 of us REALLY do. I am going to post a photo of me and my sisters last Thanksgiving (2005) at Busch Gardens. Hence, the beers. And hence the extra 10 pounds on me because Cam was born only 2 months prior! But I didn't have braces then and should never have gotten them....but thats another thread.

sisterstgiving2005.jpg

Well, my Friday night is a bust.

I made the mistake of leaving a Coke on the table where Kona could reach it and she poured the whole thing out on the rug while I ran to the bank and she was here with DH.

He said he didn't want to talk to me when I asked him what happened and suggested I wait a few minutes to talk to him. FINE. Let me know when I'm worthy enough for your conversation.

I guess he doesn't remember that I didn't say a word the other night when he accidentally caused Kona to trip and hit her head.

Accidents are accidents. So, he's getting a few more minutes of no conversation. He can have the whole damn weekend.

I was sent home from work early because of a migraine today. They wouldn't even let me drive myself home. Ugh. I've been going along thinking I've been having bad sinus headaches because I've had sinus issues since I was a kid until this afternoon when I checked webmd, hoping to find a few other remedies since my Advil wasn't working. There were a few articles on how something like 90% of sinus headaches are actually migraines and my symptoms matched every single one they listed. I'll have to make a call to the dr on Tuesday and maybe he'll give me Imitrex or something to have on hand. I just hope it's not a serious problem and as weird as it is to say, hope I'm just prone to headaches.

At any rate, I'm missing my FIL's bday pizza. DH took Lucas there who should be a joy because he only had a 20 minute nap at my parents' today.

floridafam - Hope your DH comes around and realizes accidents happen. I can think of a few worse things than Coke on the rug.

z - I can definitely see the resemblance between you and your sisters.

alice28 - about the Star Wars toys. It's always the way. DH and I were at one of those calendar kiosks at the mall yesterday and everything is 50% off. I had bought him a calendar for his stocking and here there are about 15 of them stacked up, half off. Not that the extra $6 is that big a deal, but it's the principle of the thing.

hillbeans - Good luck with your ebay stuff.

nucpharm - Congrats on the 12 miles!

llij - I have bad eyes but DH doesn't wear any glasses at all. I hope Lucas takes after him. DH didn't need braces either so here's hoping!

DisKim - Hope you can perk up.
