I've come to the conclusion that I cannot Dis and do the laundry on the same day. Yesterday, I did the laundry. Today . .. not so much.

Tkyes - why, oh why would you make an appt. for 7am unless it was with the Pope to save your eternal soul? I hope the dentist was kind and I'm looking forward to seeing the pics. of the playroom. You have a scrapbook "retreat" ?? Can I come???

Justhat - it was painful to see those photos of the sunblock. Yikes! Madison is growing so very fast.

Robin - OMG!!! I don't think I could have kept a straight face if Kailey kept insisting on the pee pee juice. Oh, is that terrible?

Robin - Oh, no. My IL's live in Roseburg. That's part of the problem. It's 3 hours from PDX and the people who live there freak me out and my FIL can refuse to pick up his poo with im-poo-nity. hahahahhhahhah. No, nobody else has to laugh.

And about the war - I totally understand that you don't want DH over there. I had a friend who just got back with awful stories that make me rejoice that he's home safe - and again, he was just a friend. It must have been nauseating.

SL - over the pee jug. And I'm trying to get to your TR now. . .. (no, really - this is an ETA . . .

GLT - I don't own Crocs either - I just may be pushed over the edge with a bunch of Mickey Heads on them - that makes me a Target Market. I hope the Christmas photo shoot goes smoothly. And - I want to hear about what you say at school for the trip! I have no experience myself . .. I would lie, normally . ..

Lissa - hope you are feeling better. And I also love seeing my tree lit up in the dark. Especially after the kids are asleep and the house is quiet and I can reflect on how lucky I am to live in the country and time that I do. But we leave two days after Christmas (on the 27th) for a New Year's gig, so we get very little time in our own house each year.

Dizagain - I added nofeargear to my favorites - why do you believe we're going to pooh, etc.? I could get very excited about this! And you are an insightful one!! My SIL's house is - let's say - unfinished. As in her BF ripped out walls and didn't replace them. So, especially with DH's travel points, I really like hotels. They come with pools. And *cough* hot water *cough*.

Bellacam - Wow. I was getting to the end of my last pregnancy thinking "will this torture *never* end? It's great that you are feeling so good that you feel like you are running out of time.

Z- although I try to keep up, I missed your OP on the poop and just caught responses. We use wipes at home for everyone. oh, can I say that? Anyhoooooo, I worry about Kailey because she's terrible about TP - gets it um, *stuck* as it were. And from what I can figure out, it's very difficult for her to reach and clean as well as she might. I hope it works out for you.

And I feel for your cousin's pregnancy loss. I kiss Madeleine's head an extra 20 times for every story I hear.

Staci - love the photo! And it's also really funky for me to adjust to child(REN) instead of "this is my child" . Especially since mine are so far apart - it was "this is my child. she is potty trained and articulate. she can brush her own teeth and defend her own negotiating position." Now it's here are our children. One drools a lot and the other - she in kindergarten all day. Not sure what she does.



All I can say about your trip, Ginamarie - is how much FUN!! and that is the reason I wish MIL could live near us. I'm so jealous. Ooooh time alone.


Diskim - you have raised your son right. If there was a "proud and crying" symbol, I would use it. All I want for Christmas is a trip to WDW, too.

What a nutty couple of days I have had . I'm so sorry I don't have time to do a proper catch-up right now but I have been reading the thread (and I can't wait to catch a few extra minutes to read SL's trip report). Unfortunately, this weekend is cram-packed with stuff -- I have four things to go to tomorrow and a Christening on Sunday. I get very grumpy when I have no down time on the weekend so I should be fun to deal with by Sunday night .

I did want to come on and thank GLT for the Halloween exchange. I was so excited to come home from my very very lonnng day at work and find a package waiting . I love love love the shirt for Katrina and Alex had so much fun pulling out all the goodies (and eating some too ). We are going to decorate our third pumpkin tomorrow with the fun stuff you sent . Thanks again .

I think I need to go now and lay down before I fall asleep at the computer. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Z, I said a prayer for your cousin and her dh. I'm sure this is a very hard time for them . Take care, everybody.

GM - I blame the Met's hitters, not pitchers. The bases were loaded TWICE and were left stranded. Oh well, maybe next year Wow, a cruise would be great. Good luck with all the kiddos tonight! Hope Olivia is feeling well!

SL - I've been shopping like crazy on ebay. I think I'm officially addicted to buying -- and selling. Of course I only sell to make $ to buy I'm feeling better about DD skipping one day of school. Thanks for the support! I'll go back later and read the trip report!

dizagain - how nice of the fam to let you get some extra rest! That is great, even if you weren't sleeping

bnb - about the nursing, I SOOOO know how you feel! I actually started a thread about how to wean to get some tips. Of course, I'm still at it. He can't nurse forever, right? oooh, Little People pirate ship? Didn't know there was such a thing. I'll have to check it out. yeah on alone time!

Robin - I hope you are feeling better! I've been cleaning food out of EVERYTHING lately. I have now officially banned all snacks and such out of the living room for a week. They used to eat snacks in here but this week I have had to clean up popcorn that was strewn across the floor, today was poptart debris across the room and wrappers from goldfish packs. I had it!

Nucpharm - yeah on job training, good luck Monday! I frequent our Walgreens between meds and their sale items, I'm probably there about once a week I might have to drive to Fond du Lac to visit TRU for those sales.

justhat - hope all worked out with brownies, cookies and such. You have a new baby, REST!!

Staci - sorry the play date didn't go well. The kids' rooms are a disaster. Tomorrow a.m. we are cleaning rooms. I have already told them no "shows" until their rooms are cleaned up. Of course today they say "ok" tomorrow it will be tantrums and tears.

zalansky - congrats on winning the bid. I have been bidding/winning ebay items like crazy lately. DD has gotten a winter coat, boots, shoes, tights; DS got a winter coat, shoes and even gymbo boxers Oh, and I bought myself a pair of jeans - I hope they fit!

Val - sorry the package took so long to get there, I thought you would have had it days ago, glad it did arrive though! Let me know how the decorating pumpkin goes, I think I need to go and buy some for ours too.

fabmouse funny about laundry or DIS! I too wonder what DD is doing all day in K. I'm kinda sad that I'm not so in touch with it all, I know it's part of her growing up, but now I know why she feels so sad and wants more "mommy" time . . .she and I both have Coldstone coupons, maybe we'll go alone this weekend if DH is available to watch the boys.

WDWBetsy - I don't need the stuff, but thanks for offering! Congrats on your new baby.

Jill - so good to hear from you! Yeah on teaching the 5th graders being fun!! LOVE the pumpkin patch photo!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy busy day (actually afternoon/night). There is a family pumpkin festival at a local park, followed by trick or treating at the Jaycees Haunted House (lights on and all, I'm chairman of the board this year and haven't even been there this year ). Followed by picking up a new babysitter and DH and I have a wedding to go to. I'm not too thrilled about the wedding as I don't know anyone who will be going and it's DH's friends from the bar he works weekends at. Normally I don't have much in common at all with those folks, but maybe if I expect the worse it will be better than that

Ice cream is calling my name....my glands are swollen again....I just got our Entertainment Book from the school fundraiser and there are Coldstone Creamery coupons in there AND 31 Flavors. I am so tempted to jump in the car this second. I think I might in a minute or two!

GLT- I know what you mean about no snacks outside the kitchen. I enforce that rule when I remember too! Molly just took a thing of grapes in the living room and I stepped on about 4 of them. Gross. I hope the wedding is nice and you have a good time! And I hate to say it, but my boys nursed beyond 18 months (21 months and 27 months). Granted it was only 1-2 times a day at that point, and not in the middle of the night at all past 1 or so. GOOD LUCK! I sometimes had luck at offering table food or a cup/bottle first before la ****ee.

Val-I hope at some point you get some downtime this weekend. I hate jam-packed weekends too. Good to see you here though!

Fab- Oh....Roseburg....oh.....

That was me saying, "I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to go to armpit, super boring, Roseburg." We often stop there for a burger on the way to CA, and that's about all I know about Roseburg.

I often am in disbelief thinking of myself as a mother of 3. When the heck did that happen? I barely remember what it was like with just 1 child...I think it was easy and he was spoiled rotten.

BNB- I saw that Little People pirate ship at Target and it's so cute! I love it! Glad your DH was able to come home early today.

Jill- 5th graders take a lot of energy! You go girl! I'm glad your school is so close - at least it doesn't involve commute time.

GM- Hope the sleepover is fun tonight!

Well, I just remembered we have some vanilla ice cream in the freezer- that will do for now.

Happy 1st B-day, Shelby!!! I hope it's spectacular!!

SL~ I will try to get to your TR just as soon as I can. I don't get to get on here for very long anymore but I promise I will make that a priority as soon as I can since I know you were kind enough to read mine. Plus, I am really curious to read it of course!

It was great when I picked Kylie up from daycare Thurs. She was such a totally different child according to her teacher and the director. I could tell right away. Kylie has finally adjusted to it. She was actually interacting with the other children and didn't act like she wanted to leave. According to them, she can now say "clock". I still can't get her to say it but she did bring me the toy clock she was playing with when I picked her up. They said she had been saying that all day as well as ball. I knew she could say ball though. Clock is a new one. She says quite a bit now but rarely says it for anyone except dh and me. Even the grandparents haven't really heard many things from her yet. So for her to start saying actual words at daycare is a huge indicator that she is happy there and that of course is a nice thing for me too since I always miss her so much and hope she enjoys it.

Weekend plans~ We plan to spend Saturday going to a pumpkin patch and the buffalo park. My mom and I went to the buffalo park (and petting zoo) when Kylie was only about 7 weeks old. Of course she doesn't remember it and my mom and I really just went because we had never been and we were curious. It was around the end of June though and over 100 degrees so it was almost unbearable and we didn't stay long. This time I think Kylie will love it since she's so into animals. They even have a cute little monkey in the entrance that tried to grab her shirt last time. (Yes, a real one. He is in a cage though, not just running amok like my own personal monkey...er...I mean, Kylie...is!) I hope it's still there! It is also supposed to be a beautiful 72 degrees so wonderful weather! I am looking forward to it! It will be a nice break for all of us.

Next weekend we are doing all of the fun Halloween trick-or-treating type things. The IL's church is doing a "trunk-or-treat" next Sunday night and we are going to take her to that. Not sure where else we will take her since she is still so young and we don't want to do too many places this year but I'm sure we'll think of a place or 2 before next weekend. I will also be taking pics of the pumpkin patch and her Halloween costume within the next 2 weeks so hopefully I will be able to post those soon.

The weekend after that (the first weekend in Nov.) we are having Kylie's Christmas portraits done. Not sure about other plans but I feel like the next 3 weekends will be busy ones and then it will be time to start the holiday season! Oh, and I found out I can begin registering for my spring classes starting Nov. 6! I can't believe it's almost time to do that and I haven't totally lost it yet.

Do any of you remember me telling you that they promised dh he would be getting a big raise in October? Well, dh asked them about it last month and they kind of tried to change the subject but did say he would see it on the check he got today. We were under the impression they must have decided to pay less than promised since they weren't eager to discuss it. Sure enough...dh got this gigantic, HUGE raise of $12 extra a week! Now we can finally afford the yacht we had been eyeing! His company consists of total cheapskates so dh and his co-workers were not really optimistic of a big raise anyway. They were all pretty surprised they even got one at all, as was I.

Okay, well, it's 1 a.m. and I still need to shower, and blowdry my hair. Then I really must get some sleep so we can enjoy the day without a grumpy, sleep-deprived mommy in tow! Have a great weekend everyone!

Morning. I was up with DH this morning. I couldn't really sleep as he was preparing himself for a morning in the woods. I am really happy we do not depend on his hunting skills for our survival. I wouldn't need to diet b/c we'd starve. Not to mention that I HATE the smell/taste of venison. I hope he gets his ya-yas by sitting in the woods this morning. We have a ton of stuff to do here.

I am not going shopping today. Yesterday DH informed me that the contractor is coming on Tuesday to put in our support beam. This means Jimmy's room must be emptied, the carpet pulled up (we're giving it to my sister as it's not ever 2 years old and basically brand new), and one wall knocked out.

Ladies, I have to tell you, I was p*$$ed off when I found out. I spent most of last night going up and down our basement steps carrying shoes, clothes, etc. and trying to make sense of where DH just plunked all of the storage containers I've been packing these last few weeks. I was really ready to bonk him in the head.

I have to run to Wal-Mart today for some more containers and the stuff I need for my costume. With Jimmy in tow, it should be a really fun trip.

I promise to catch-up later. I'm trying to get our laundry done so the basement is less crowded.

Well, for some reason my whole house was up at 6:30 a.m. . Why is it on school days I have to drag ds up at 7:30 but on my sleep in day everyone is up and at 'em so early ? We are starting our day with ds' last soccer game of the season and then it's a pizza party with the team. Then I am heading to work because my boss is holding a jewlery party there. After that we are going to a corn maze. Dh is going to a bachelor party in the evening. Then tomorrow we are driving an hour and a half to a Christening. I know it's bad but I so want to ditch it. An afternoon lounging on the couch watching football with dh just sounds so much more appealing. We'll see what happens.

I think I'm going to squeeze in SL's trip report before getting the gang dressed for the day. Talk to you all later .

Happy 1st Birthday Shelby!!

Thanks to those who've read my report so far. I'm trying to keep it short and not get into too many boring details. The link is in my signature if anyone else wants it.

I never made it back on last night because I was trying to straighten up the house a little. Today is going to be a busy day. We're having the portraits done this afternoon. DH and I are going to wear black shirts, SIL and BIL are wearing gray shirts, and Lucas will wear a white shirt. We figured that way we'll all kind of go together yet not be so matchy. My sister is having dinner for my parents anniversary tonight and I don't even have a gift yet. If I can't pick up something at the mall while we're there for pictures I can always get a gift card to their favorite Chinese restaurant but I have a feeling that they haven't used the one I got them last year yet. Oy.

zalansky - I'm so sorry about your DH's cousin. How devastating for both losses.

tkyes - Hope your scrapbooking weekend is going great!

dizagain - Aw, that's sweet how your kids tried to let you sleep in.

BnB - Glad you'll be getting your family time back.

Val, my kids were up early today too, yet several school days this week I had to wake them I think they do it drive us

Right now they are to be cleaning rooms. Actually, the boys' room is all done and dd still is working on hers -- actually, she's playing rather than cleaning. I told her once she actually started to CLEAN then I would come and help her. I'll go check in a couple minutes.

SL - Good for you for straightening your house, wanna come do mine? Please?

Robin - hope you had some icecream last night. I had some coffee and cookies Then Leif woke up right before I went to bed (at midnight silly me) and was up for 2 hours! I left him to CIO and then woke 30 minutes later from a nightmare of the kids all screaming and DD walking outside unsupervised ,etc, etc. I woke up and checked on everyone, they were all sleeping, whew!

lissawynn - you know, with the whole expansion thing I never thought of how much packing/inconvenience was involved. How long will you be displaced? I sure hope it goes quickly. Think of all the extra space you'll have when they are done. Did you already have an upstairs that is being expanded?

Tasha - sorry about dh's raise. That's usually how it goes in our house too - no yacht for us yet either Glad Kylie is doing well with daycare.

Happy birthday Shelby!

I have managed to do many loads of laundry and Jimmy is down for his nap. I also went through our hall closet and have packed up our extra sheets, bath rugs, curtains, etc. I have a bunch of breakable stuff to pack, but I'm waiting until DH is home and can keep an eye on Jimmy. I also found all the old grungy bedspreads the previous owner left and will use them to cover our bedroom furniture while it's in our garage.

GLT - Our contractor put in writing that we would he would be in and out in 6 weeks, weather and materials permitting. I would just really like to be home for Christmas and not surrounded by a mess or tons of boxes. Yes, I don't think anyone who works on their home realized how much of a pain and mess it's really going to be.

SL - I hope your pics turn out well. My sisters and I did a group photo about 12 years ago for our family. It was really nice and they appreciated it.

Val - Have a good weekend running around. I would much rather be sitting at home than packing, cleaning, washing, etc.

I'm going to read SL's trip report and attempt to watch Grey's online. I kept getting cut off last night.

Last's night party was nice. People went crazy over those brownies and cookies. I can't take the credit since they were all mixes, but at least I know they were good mixes to get in the future. People actually asked to take some of them home, it was unreal. This asst teacher from the other toddler class told me she ate 8 brownies and she only likes sweets 'that time of the month'. I also stopped at the store and picked up some cut fruit salad and 2 crumb cakes (cinnamon and apple) cause I just felt like there wasn't enough food with just the cookies and brownies. Well the cakes were hardly touched, I mean maybe a slice or 2 from each, and the fruit did not have a big dent either. So I guess I would have been fine without them and wasting $40. Well I took 1 tub of the fruit home and left the rest for the host and took a cake home only cause she insisted and everyone else had run out of there.

That just kills me when people do that. I don't mean any of the guests as I do not expect them to clean up at all, but the room parents who were essentially responsible for the whole event just booked out of there leaving the host parents to clean up everything. So I stayed late to help out since there was a ton of stuff that had to be packed up, cleaned up, put away, and I felt bad just leaving it all for them. Especially cause the host is the type of person who would do anything to help out anyone, even a stranger. She was so nice to me when I was pregnant and sick so I wouldn't have thought of bailing last night.

Other than that, I met some of the new parents and most were pretty nice people. 2 of them though, they were very nice, but so, so weird. Well, maybe that's not the right word, but they're totally anti junk food, I mean to an extreme. They talked about poptarts like they were made from the devil. I just left out how Madison ate one for breakfast almost every day of the past 2 weeks. They're also more germophobic than my husband if that's possible. I mentioned how he keeps a potty in his trunk so that Madison does not have to use store potties when we're out but that I just take her wherever and one of the moms said "I do that too!" Now, okay, I have a potty in my car too, but for emergencies if there are no potties wherever we are, primarily on the way to NJ cause sometimes I hae to stop at the nearest exit and can't search around for a McDonald's or whatever. If we're in the mall, we use the mall potty. One of them also mentioned something about tv causing autism in a recent study. The host (who's so normal) said "Oh gosh, now it's tv! What happened to just being genetically predisposed to something?"

The really were the nicest women, but a bit odd. Oh, and what's a little funny to me is that all of their kids are really underweight, off the charts underweight. Well Madison's really low on the charts and her ped told me at 15 months to give her whatever fatty foods she'd eat, hot dogs, ice cream, cookies, whatever. And these moms said their ped said the same thing, but apparently they don't care cause they acted like it was an actual crime to feed your kids anything with sugar. They even hate Jello, which I view as a pretty harmless dessert.

Well, we just got back from the book fair for Madison's school and as soon as her Halloween in DL dvd ends we're gonna go to the mall. I have to exchange something I got Henry at Gymbo. I thought the 0-6 month size would be fine but can you believe it's already snug! So I guess I need to get the 6-12 month one instead. It's that penguin bunting, which I could use a lot since we walk more than drive so I don't need his legs free to buckle up. I think we're stop at this street festival on the way cause I heard they have kiddie rides and Madison would love that. Tonight I think I'll try to pack a bit for our trip. We still have the luggage out from Phoenix so I might as well put stuff in it. And once everyone is in bed I will be back here to catch up with everyone. Hope everyone's weekend is going well!

Hi!

Have a minute while Carson is sleeping. We had both girls' volleyball games this morning, and DH just left to make the hour and a half roundtrip to pick up Hannah's flute at the music shop. Hayley's got a buddy over and Hannah's "grounded" until 4. She was so darn mouthy today - AWFUL. She wants to take her drama class and audition for a show this winter - I have told the girls they have to skip this one and do the one in spring. Anyway, the reason is that it's just too much $$ at this time (total for class and production for both girls is close to $400). She was just irrate and very selfish about it and totally TERRIBLE...makes us wonder who is raising her! Anyone want a 10-year-old...cheap!

Oh and last night Hannah and her friend were playing by the computer desk. Her friend had brought her drink in and set it on the desk - a BIG no-no in our house. Anyway, next thing you know Hannah's calling me into the office hysterical because they knocked into the cup and lemonade went all over DH's company laptop. She's all "Don't tell Daddy, don't tell Daddy". I'm like "I won't...YOU will". So we cleaned up what we could - yes, the computer shut down as the liquid did go inside - and I sent the friend home because I didn't want her to hear DH yelling . Then DH didn't get mad at all which confused all of us as he's known for his temper. He says he will just tell a little lie and get it fixed by the company guys and doesn't really care. Now if it had been a few inches to the right and hit OUR couputer I guess it would have been a different story! What he DID get mad at was me sending the friend home like he was a monster or something and he chased after her and brought her back. MEN!


Oh yeah...funny. I had told you Hayley didn't want to ask for anything for Christmas as she's so sweet, etc. Well, I asked her to tell me what she REALLY wants (besides a laptop!) and she told me...an IPOD!!!!!! SO-o-o-guess it will be a big-item Christmas with some small stuff on the side.

justhat - Glad your treats were a success! I know MANY parents of younger kids are VERY health concious these days. It's a good thing, I guess to start young. We are wishing we had done a better job. Hannah's a little bit heavy even though she's pretty active and I think part of it is the junk she eats even though we're big on portion control. But I think there's a happy medium somewhere.

lissawynn - sounds like you are making progress on the packing! My DH is the same way about "throwing" things down in the basement for me. I'm lucky if I can find anything. SSHHH...I'll tell on DH - he's scared a mouse will show up and spends as little time as possible down there! I'm hoping that contractor gets you back in your house in time for Christmas!!

GLT - the girls had to clean their rooms/bathroom today too and Hannah is STILL dragging her feet. She just told me since she's grounded she has "all day" What a turkey!!!!!

I'll hopefully be able to check in fully tomorrow. I have to go get Jace all packed up while he's napping. He is sleeping at my parents house so that DH and I can go to a party of one of DH's friends from college. He's been such a cranky T-Rex today - my parents don't know what they are in for!! In fairness to Jace he is getting a cold and is stuffy - poor thing, I'd be cranky too!

Good afternoon all!

Well, baseball is officially over,and even better, Robert's team won! Not a huge deal--there were only 3 teams, but Robert was thrilled. He can be real hard on himself,so it boosted his ego that his team won. DH also picked up a trampoline from our former tenant. It belonged to her DD, and our kids played on it all the time, but then they moved. Well, the DD broke her kneecap over the summer and doesn't want the trampoline anymore, so she wanted my kids to have it. So, the kids are thrilled.

dizagain--it sounds llike Hannah is showing you how much those drama classes are paying off--plenty of drama in your house!

justthat--Some parents are real funny about what they let their kids do and eat. i find it's best to overlook stuff like that, unless they're real preachy, that bugs me. I will tell you, I had one friend who decided to raise her kids vegan--okay, fine, whatever floats your boat. Well, years go by, and then her husband gets hospitalized with a B12 (I think) deficiency--a side effect of the vegan diet. Not, her DH needs B12 shots for the rest of his life, but she still has the kids on a vegan diet! Um, if your DH almost died form this diet, maybe meat isn't the worst thing in the world for the human body, ya think? Anyway, at Madison's age, if Pop-tarts work, I say go for it. but I'll warn you, she may eventually trade up to Toaster Strudel, which cost a fortune because my kids go through them like nobody's business. Robert alone eats 3 for breakfast, Jocelyn and Celeste can each down 2! And there's only 6 in a box!

Alissa--The packing and moving stuff sounds like a real pain. I'm sure it'll be nice when it's done, though.

Tasha--Try not to spend that raise all in one place! Bummer that it wasn't more. I'm looking forward to DH getting the big overtime checks for the past few weeks, but you know they're only going to go to the oil man, the gas station, the electric company, and my Target Visa!

OK another short post by me, as I need to get back to mopping the floors, but WOW- I just scored at Gymbo! I was trying to stay out of the stores, really and truly, but those darn Gymbo ladies posted about a summer clothing sale, where everything was price-pointed at $9.99 and below.

I just got Molly (drumroll please) 12 items for $40! 4 tops, 4 shorts, 1 romper, 1 visor, 1 pair of socks and 1 impulse buy of this rattle thing at the cash wrap for .99. It was so worth the trip downtown- I called the 2 downtown stores first, to make sure they still had some stuff in stock before I wasted gas to go down there. (my store had nothing left, and the other big store is usually so busy, I doubted they had anything left either). I usually try and stock up at the end of summer sales for the kids, but I didn't for her this year because she grows at such a funny rate, I was afraid to buy stuff that wouldn't fit. But at less than $4 a pop, I don't care if she can only squeeze into it our 10 days at Disney! (some of the tops, big A-line swoopy tops, are an 18-24 months- which she still can wear, but the t-shirts can be a big snug- but these have more room, so hopefully they will work!).

OK, thanks for listening to me share my score! I just was worried I would have to pay almost full price next March to get her stuff to wear in Florida, and now she has a good 7-8 outfits, as I ordered a few ts and shorts last night off Lands End with a gift card I had. Yay!

I thought I'd hop on quick while DH is in the shower. My parents came and picked up Jace. He couldn't wait to climb in their car! He got right in the car seat - didn't even consider missing us. - Hopefully he will be that way until we pick him up tomorrow.

Nice score at Gymbo Robin...I'll have to check out online. My mom just bought Jace one of the train sweater/sweatshirts since he's a big train freak these days.

BNB, sounds like your kids had a great day with Robert's team and that trampoline. I'm sure there were plenty of smiles in your family today.

about the lemonade spill Dizagain. I would have freaked out. Glad your DH took it so well.

Justhat - TV now causing autism eh? Oh, and your poor shoes - thanks for posting the pic but how awful for you.

I agree Val, the couch sounds good to me too! I have a hard time having commitments on the weekend I just want my weekend time to be downtime/funtime for DH, Jace and me. Let us know what you decide.

You are amazing Lissawyn...where do you find the energy being pregnant and all? Hope you were able to catch all of Grey's. Is there a charge for viewing shows online? I've never done it.

Happy to hear Kylie is doing so well at the new daycare Tasha. It must be such a relief for you. I am hoping that Kylie says the word CLOCK correct and not like my niece did leaving out the L. It was rather embarrassing in public!! She had a thing about leaving out the L's in words - she also did it with Falcon...not good!

Hope you are surviving your busy day GLT. How's the new babysitter? I'm hoping that the wedding will end up better than you thought.

I made some brownies to bring to the party and I've already eaten some...I have no willpower!!! I'm sort of looking forward to the party, but sorta not. There is this one guy that is such a jerk that will be there with his much older know-it-all wife. I dread seeing them...I can't write the words to describe him that I'd like to. Also, it should be interesting to see how long that I can stay awake. I'm usually asleep by 10!

Well, I better go get in the shower now.

I have to get dinner ready, but I had to laugh at your post about toaster strudels BNB! We haven't bought them yet so she doesn't know about them. All the junk she eats she gets from my husband who buys these things to bring with him for call days. I have my sweets weakness too, but I try not to buy junky food I like cause I know I'll eat it. My husband's a poptart addict though so she has to eat what daddy eats.

I should add, we eat fairly healthy cause my husband is a nut about the patients he sees who come in with disorders specifically related to their diet. So we really keep junky, fatty foods to a minimum, usually that is. We do allow sugary foods for dessert, but Madison's not a big eater of anything so she doesn't eat tons of sweets. And she's big on fruit so that's usually her dessert. In fact she'll eat that more than cookies, as I gave her one of the peanut butter cookies and she ate a bite and left it then asked for strawberries.

I can't believe your friend would keep her kids on a diet that caused her husband to be on shots the rest of his life too. You'd think that would be the eyeopener that maybe a diet change would be in order. That was kinda my feeling about these people, that their dr is telling them that their kids need to put on weight so they should eat more fatty stuff to bulk up and they're not gonna do it. They were preachy about it, but so nice that you could overlook it.

I originally came to whine about my mom and Henry's christening. She's taking this event to a crazy new level. It's unreal. It's a sitdown dinner now, where you have to order your meal, to quote her, "like a wedding." Well it's not a wedding!!! It's a baptism, and a 2nd child at that. Since 2004 I've had 5 big parties, essentially for myself, and I really feel weird about it and wanted this to be much more low key. I told her I'd prefer a buffet cause it's easier for me to get Madison something she wants than a set menu and her response was pretty much "too bad, I want a sit down." And yes, she's paying so she should order what she wants, but for her birthday party last year I ordered food I knew she'd like even though I don't like it cause it was for her.

Well, enough complaining, time to get dinner ready then hopefully ship everyone off to bed soon. Madison napped today so that always complicates things, but hopefully she'll still go to bed on time.
