Nucpharm- I need to make a schedule like that for our house once we get everything settled. Everything is so overwhelming lately with work and school and baby that I know I forget things.

Justhat- Sorry that Henry isn’t feeling well. I love that purple dress the mother of the bride was wearing!

Alice- I hope there’s nothing wrong with your car!

Zalansky- I don’t know what your MIL is thinking. October is a great month to be in FL at the beach.

Jill- thanks for posting that!

FloridaFam- Olivia gets a lot of earwax too. I find myself cleaning her ears every couple of days. Of course she hates it.

My package went out in today’s fed ex bin. Otherwise today has been a lousy day. I found out that I’m losing a bunch of my workload, and I was worried about our money situation before this piece of news. So now this title closer class is my last chance to get work moving my way. Otherwise I have to start looking for a new job, and looking for daycare for Olivia :(

FF - Cam has tons of earwax too! Sometimes it looks black if I don't clean it religously, which is hard necause she HATES having them cleaned of course. I don't get it.

Gina - sorry to hear baout the reduced workload. I hope it all works out. :grouphug:

Justhat- I just looked at the wedding pictures- WOW! What a spread! Very nice photography BTW....the photographer did some unique shots. I loved the watermelon with the fish carved into it. I think you look so good for being, what, a month or 6 weeks postpartum! Amazing!

FF- Ear Wax. Both Josh and Molly had to have their ears drained once at the doctor's because of excessive wax, but Josh grew out of it. I think babies in general are just more prone to it, why I don't know. But it wigs me out. Pee, poop, barf- not a problem. Ear wax and I have to try hard not to gag. I'm weird, I know.

Gina- :grouphug: I'm so sorry to hear about your work load decreasing. That has to be stressful for you, esp just buying the house. I hope the title thing works out and you can make enough $$ doing that. Why do these things happen at the worst times? :guilty:

Z- a couple nights at Vero sure sounds like fun! We're still contemplating Vegas this Dec for 3 nights, but I want this car sold and credit cards paid off before I think any more about it.

Diz- sounds like you were industrious! There are still weird cosmetic things about this house that I think are ugly, and have I done anything about them? No. DH and I aren't very handy either, so it's hard sometimes.

Well, gals, we are going to look at that house with a realtor this afternoon, mostly just to get it out of our heads. We just want to see the upstairs and how the floors are really laid out...we were confused yesterday afternoon looking at it. It seems by our count there were 6 bedrooms, but one of them must have been a dining room or something.

Molly is being a pistol AGAIN by not napping! what gives! She did sleep for 13.5 hours last night, and then she chugged some of my Diet Pepsi- I have to hide it when I am drinking it or she throws a FIT til I give her some! The only thing that worries me about that is the caffeine. I just turned the Wiggles on and now she is glazing out in front of it. But it's almost too late now for a nap.....goodie.

Jill- thanks for posting that little story- makes me appreciate moments of sitting here on the sofa, snuggled up to my girl, watching these cute Aussies.

Hey ladies!

DH survived his first day back to work. I'm just nervous how he will do getting Jace in and out of the car seat when he starts to resume the daycare drop off again.

My visit with my family yesterday was nice. Jace was totally showing off for my parents and uncle. My folks brought him back a stuffed animal ram from Wales. He would not stop kissing it - it was cute. He was not happy when he had to go to bed and we were all still up.

I watched Amazing Race last night. I definitely enjoyed it and am glad that it has moved to Sunday nights so now I can watch it as it used to be on opposite of House. Thank goodness for Tivo and for friday and saturday nights to catch up on all the crap I taped all week!!

Floridafam: Jace gets ear wax. I'm with Robin - blech!!! I find that now I can clean it out once every few days. When he was younger it was worse...so gross!!! I just use a washcloth in the area....I'd love to stick a Q-Tip in there, but I know I'm not supposed to.

Justhat: The photos were beautiful. What a gorgeous day too!! Hope Henry is doing ok and the shower helped. It's so hard when they are so tiny and get a cold like that.

I was giving Jace his bath tonight and twice the shower hose/wand twisted out of control and soaked me and the floor. Jace got a pretty big kick out of it. Geeze, I thought his splash attacks were bad. It was pretty comical.

I'm going to go order some Jeans for Jace at Old Navy. He only has a few pairs that fit well and as it's getting colder he'll need more. Perhaps I'll find something for myself as well although last week I ordered a few shirts from LL Bean and Lands End to add to my fall attire.

Have a great night!
:)

ETA: Robin, :rotfl: Molly and the DPepsi. Jace tries to get mine too! In fact he plays with my DP 36 pack box - it's his hiding place. When ever I can't find something, I'll find in the DP box.

Hi ladies! I lost my post earlier when my computer decided to act up. I have no hope of catching up anymore. I try to keep up as best I can. This week is insane. DH is working tonight and the rest of the week is filled with back to school nights. Mine is on Wednesday. I'll try to catch up some time this week.

Ginamarie - I really wish that I enjoyed cooking. DH is really really good at it and I tried a few times when we got married and then thought who am I *kidding*??? :teeth: I thought it was pretty warm today (I'm in Essex County, 30 minutes from NYC). What school were you attending when St. John's gave you the scholarship? And who can say no to school money?? :teeth:

FF - I'm so frustrated about amazing race! I don't have cable and the only seasons that are available for rent or purchase are 1 and 7. Any idea WHY??

FF - I'm so sorry about your septic and dryer!!!! Holy Crap batman, that's a bad night.

Robin - Kailey does the same thing. She has a bunch of games on her computer and she's never ever hungry when she could be playing one of them.

Gems- I'm so sorry on the sleep issue. Kailey (5) was a terrible sleeper and continues to be so. The only difference is that I can threaten to take away her Pretty Ponies and at least she's very very quiet while staying up past 11pm. Madeleine is so far a very good sleeper - and I've read that these traits are not all that malleable.

Nucpharm, Justhat and dizagain - yes, that's what I've decided (I think! ) to do. I begged my friend's nanny to come by for Kailey -- and she came through for me - whew!! and I'm going to take Madeleine with me. That way I know if she's hungry or feeling out of sorts and since she's usually pretty mellow, I'll take a pillow for feeding and leave it in the car, and I bet I'll just need to feed her once during the open house.

If I leave Madeleine with the sitter, she'll take a bottle, but I'll have to leave formula for feeding (as I don't have a breast pump anymore and that whole "hand pumping" thing is never ever going to work with my breasts.) and I'll still feel nervous.

Justhat - thanks for the idea of baby type volunteering! I'm not sure who to ask as none of it seems centralized - but I bet it will come up if I come on Thurs. with Madeleine strapped to my chest. I tried to watch the photo thing - but it kept moving on me!! :happytv:

Dizagain - I really think the rest of the world should forgive me right now for wearing pj's and unwashed hair to just about every non formal event (e.g., school drop off, grocery store, etc._ :thumbsup2

And - I've always struggled with keeping a schedule with Kailey. However, we've done so much better with one, however lame it may have been. :teeth: Hope it goes well for you.

Good luck, Bellacam!

BnB - and Robin - that's a great suggestion! Kailey has a class Aid who could probably give me projects to do at home for them. And it's sounding like taking a newborn to open house is almost a given, so I don't have to feel awkward about it.

Robin - hope the car situation rights itself! And that it sells. And I wouldn't move if I were you, either. Our reason for moving (besides needing more rooms) is mostly due to being located on a busy, busy street. Our backyard is big enough to corral the kids, but I feel violent some days when I watch young men use our street as a speedway. :furious: I'd love to be on a dead-end street.

Speaking of which - do any of you own a Toyota Highlander? We're thinking of buying one . .. used maybe, new maybe . ..

:wave2:

Good evening ladies,

I'm feeling a little better today, but my poor husband is soooo sick. He's watching his beloved Steelers tucked in bed with one eye open trying to stay awake! I'm going to have to be a lot more diligent about making sure that Kevin is washing his hands and changing his clothes after he goes to school and aftercare. I'm almost positive he brought these germs home!

Joats - what a cute story about Jace and the stuffed animal from your parents.

Floridafam - so sorry to hear about the dryer and the septic - UGH. Can you call someone for the septic? Do they have any 24 hour emergency services? Good luck!

Bellacam - sorry to hear about your washing machine disaster!

Loretta - my brother is down in Tampa for business. He said it's HOT down there, but he's having a good time. I think taking a few days to go to WDW around Thanksgiving sounds like a great idea! I've never been to the DVC in Vero, however my Aunt and Uncle used to live in Ft. Pierce and we used to go out on my uncle's boat in Vero Beach. We always liked it there and it's such a pretty area to vacation in.

Alice - Molly slept for 13.5 hours? Oh my goodness! Have fun looking at the prospective house today. Sorry to hear about the check engine light in your car - talk about bad timing! Kevin LOVES school - he just loves being around kids his own age to play with. Oh, and we're done with having children. I went through so much to have Liam (after having 3 MC's), that I just can't imagine going through another pregnancy again. I think it'd be fun to have a little girl, but we feel that our family is complete where we're at now.

Gems - I hate to say this, and I need to kind of agree with Justine/Justhat that my Liam is a terrible sleeper and always has been. I think he's only slept through the night (which I consider 8 hours in a row) maybe 5 times and he's going to be 1 on Saturday. My older son could sleep through a hurricane and Liam wakes up when the wind blows. He is such a light sleeper it causes lots of problems. He sometimes whines or talks for close to 1 hour and the falls back to sleep, but he's very restless. I just think (unfortunately) some children need a lot less sleep than others. I hope Shelby gives you a break and you get some sleep - you poor thing!

Ginamarie - I'm so sorry to hear about work. How is it possible for them to just cut back on your workload so drastically? I hope it works out for you. I know how expensive it is to live in the NY/NJ Metro area, and I wish you the best of luck. :grouphug:

Dizagain - Good luck with the haircuts today! Sorry to hear about your loud neighbors during the wait for the bus!

Justine - before I get too far ahead of the post you asked this question, i'm renting points for my next trip. I posted a thread on the DVC thread with my requests and I had a few responses in 2 or 3 days. I am working with a very nice DISer and she made the reservation in my name. I then work out the payment via her terms. It's a great way to stay WDW Deluxe for about half of rack rate. I hope it works out. We're going to be staying at the Beach Club.

Nucpharm - hope your schedule went well today with Emma and Matthew!

Fabumouse - our school actually told us we can't bring siblings, so my sister in law and I are going to trade off babysitting duties since our kids are in different grades. Hope you can work something out!

Jill - Hope it went well today with John at the sitter's. I've read that poem before, and it's a real tearjerker. Thanks for posting.

Diskim - good luck at your week of Back to School nights.

Alissa - I hope that you're feeling better this evening!

Hi to Tamie, Tasha, J & D, DisPhD, and all of my mommy friends I may have missed tonight!

Oh, I wanted to tell everyone that Kevin has been dry every night since I bought the Goodnights. He's such a stinker! Maybe part of the problem was me getting mad at him for wetting the bed (I know, bad mommy) but he's had a great 5 nights. I think we've turned a corner.

There are so many things on TV I want to watch tomorrow night - is anyone else going to watch the Steve Irwin Memorial? I just feel so bad for Terri, Bindy and Bob-Bob. It's hard seeing someone with kids around our same age going through such a tragedy. I can't imagine how devistated she is losing her soul mate and the father of her children. I was never a huge fan of reptiles, but watching some of the shows now that he's gone makes me sad I wasn't a bigger fan of his - he seems like he was such a great family man and had such a zest for life.

Well, i'd better run and get lunches made and get ready for work tomorrow. Have a good night everyone.

Mommies,

Our dryer just broke and then our septic tank backed up.

:sad2: :sad2: I don't even know what to say. :guilty:

Oh..............no...................

What a NIGHTMARE! I would be having a hissy fit! Esp about the septic tank! My parents had that happen to them last year- yucky yuck yuck. I hope you are able to get everything fixed soon and that it's not too much $$$.

Joats, thank goodness I'm not the only mom here whose child likes soda. We don't drink hardly any sugar drinks here- occasionally juice, but I stopped buying juice boxes when cavity boy (Josh) would try and sneak more than 1 of those a day and refuse his milk. And we rarely buy regular coke, so I guess I don't feel too badly if the kids sip my diet Pepsi or Coke once in awhile. If we go out to eat, I usually let them get Sprite though.

Anyway, that's cute that he liked his Ram so much, and I have had the hose get away from me on more than one occasion too! Wet Tshirt contest! :woohoo:

Hillbeans- so sorry your DH is so under the weather. And I'm sorry about all your MCs...that must have been devastating. :guilty: I can definitely understand the feeling of completeness. :grouphug: I feel it now, and I know I would have had we had a 3rd boy....3 is my limit! I'm glad Kevin has stayed dry. I meant to say that occasionally Josh does wet his pants, but during the day- and it's just because he's too darn busy to get to the potty. He will go TEARING through the house like a bat out of h*ll, and then pee his pants 2 inches from the toilet. :sad2: He's gotten in a bit of trouble for that - he knows not to wait that long.

Fab- I don't know why Amazing Race only has seasons 1 and 7 up....I was going to say that the Game Show Network used to show reruns, but then, duh, you said you didn't have cable! Sometimes I swear I don't read every word even though I think I do!

And we looked at the house- me no likee. The stairs are even steeper and narrower than what we have now! :crazy2: And the carpet was skanky- new, but el cheapo and it's all thru the house. We really like having Pergo on the main living level. The upstairs had a HUGE master bedroom with a loft which was interesting (but trying to imagine myself shimmying up a ladder is a joke), but it had a nice bathroom and closet up there. Middle level had two nice sized bedrooms, another full bath, living room with gas fireplace and kitchen with dining area. Bottom level (basement) had two SMALL bedrooms on either side of a family room, which was nice. But no bathroom down there, but there was a space to install one. At least now it's out of my system. DH is still somewhat smitten, but it also gave us a strong feeling of how far our money could go just redoing our own house. ::yes::

I am ready for an alcoholic beverage. The kids acted like wild animals in the house, and then DH wanted to eat out and Molly just SCREAMED for fun. I was ready to take her home and then the food came and she quieted right up, SHOVELING noodles in her face. That girl can eat, I swear. And joshua too- he likes his rice. Sam is my lighter eater, except when it comes to pizza. :confused3

Hi moms, just poppin in to let you know I'm still alive (thanks for asking about me vald, I feel so loved :cloud9: ). Things are busy here although I can't really tell you why, it's not like I have someplace to be everyday :confused3 Lots has happened since I last posted though, Jack is sitting up (I may have already posted that, it's been a while) has a tooth, uses his arms to drag himself all over the place and is thisclose to crawling. Where did my baby go? He turns 7 months on Saturday and I'm dreading it- it's the point of no return! He'll be one before I know it... Speaking of turning one, I can't believe how many babies here are so close! I sent a couple PM's to those I missed and hope to stay caught up now to wish the upcoming ones on time.

Alex has been pushing his limits lately, testing us constantly and driving me crazy, yet at the same time being so incredibly cute and sweet that I can't stand it  Tonight he thought it would be a good idea to play and jump around for an hour or so after going to bed, then turn the light on and wake up the baby :furious: I stormed up the steps in my best "mommy is mad" fashion and he thought it was play time. I was so mad I sent him straigt downstairs so I could get the baby back to sleep and I came down to him smiling and jumping on the couch, thinking it was sleepover time (DH was asleep on the couch because Alex keeps him awake at night with his antics-we're all in one room right now because we're going to tear down the walls in their room and put up new drywall). Anyway, we both tried explaining to him that we were very angry and he was in trouble and he just acted like nothing was wrong. Finally I gave up and sent him back upstairs and took his bears out of the room, knowing that he'd straighten up real fast to get them back.

My house still looks like we moved in yesterday :rolleyes1 There's so much cosmetic work that needs to be done and we can't afford it, but my crazy OCD mind just can't seem to accept it and wants to leave everything until things are how I want them. So about $10,000 from now (which on our budget will be a looong loooong time) we will be all settled in :teeth: We do get the new windows installed in about 3 weeks though, which I'm sooo excited about and can't wait to see (we changed a few things around) and I sold some stuff through craigslist and ebay hoping to be able to buy something for the house, but sadly the money is going straight to the mortgage company so no fun there. Has anyone had a hard time getting rid of their kids clothes? I sorted through the things Jack has outgrown, keeping the ones I really like for whatever reason, and still I'm sad to see the other stuff go :confused3 I couldn't have cared less for it before it sold and couldn't wait for someone to bid on it, and now I'm sad they did. What a sap! I guess that's it for now, good thing since this is already too long- sorry! I gotta get to bed now (BTW, I really miss my king size bed, stupid stairs!) so I can get stuff dome tomorrow- I have to mail a bunch of packages, buy DH some new work clothes, go grocery shopping and change my address at Sec of State (how sad that I haven't done that yet...). How much of it do you think I'll actually get done with two kids in tow?

FF- Ugh! What a mess, I'm so sorry!

Good morning ladies. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Work was busy, as usual, and afterwards Lucas had a haircut and I went to a Party Lite (candles) party. A friend who used to work with me was hosting and a bunch of friends I used to work with showed up. It was great.

I'm getting depressed about work again. I know you gals won't believe it, but ANOTHER person just handed in their notice yesterday. My original plan was to stay here until I was finished with school because it's unlikely that I'd find another part time job similar to the one I have (office job) with better pay and benefits (that's not 'better benefits', but benefits in general - we get no sick days, no holiday pay, and only something like 10 hours of paid time off for vacation), plus where I am now, they'll let me take all the time I want to study, etc. I think I'm mostly worried about getting tossed on my rear if they go under, which I believe is pretty likely since they're not replacing anyone who left. 2 weeks left until my vacation...which I desperately need!!!!!!

floridafam - Sorry about your dryer and septic tank. I heard that ear wax is a good thing to see. Maybe not if it's excessive, but my sister's ped told her that it means healthy ears.

Alice28 - At least you know now that the house isn't what you want. Will you be looking into getting your basement done now?

ryan840 - Sounds like Jack is getting so big!

Sorry for the short catch-up time...boss just came in. That's what I get for trying to DIS at work.

Morning everyone.

I have a feeling today is going to be a long day. They pumped out the septic tank last night but we may have a bigger problem. They are coming back today and it could cost us anywhere between $1400 and thousands if we have to replace the drain field. :guilty:

Anyone want to play DIS Dr. for a moment?? Have any of you ever had pain under your left breast area? At the top of the rib cage? I have the most awful pain and it's been going on at different degrees for quite some time. I have no idea what it could be. I had a mammogram last year, ultrasound, full exam and that all came back normal. I also had a stress test last year and that came back normal.

Any guesses?

Sorry I don't have much time to respond to all the posts. I'll get caught up later. I'm going to try and shower and get down to the walk in clinic.

OMG--I just saw the new Tickle Me Elmo on GMA and it's hilarious!!! It actually rolls on the floor laughing!! :lmao: might have to put one of those on the xmas list for the kids--oh, and I noticed surfing hte boards yesterday that Disney has come out with a playset to go along with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoon (also very cute), but everywhere I looked it's out of stock ALREADY!!!!

Well, I got my buddies goodies mailed out yesterday--probably will be early next week before they arrive, maybe Friday (hmmm....wonder where they're going?????) Also picked up my check from the consignment sale-was a pretty good day!

FF--How awful for you!!! :grouphug: I hope your septic system doesn't end up costing too much to fix.

SL--didn't realize your trip was so close! How exciting! :cool1: I guess that makes the whole work situation a little better

Alice--too bad the house isn't your "dream" right now. But now, I guess, you can look into fixing up your own. :thumbsup2

ryan--kids can be challenging can't they? Good to hear from you!

hillbeans--sorry to hear that your husband is under the weather! :grouphug:

WEll, I better go and get myself dressed....our schedule went well yesterday, Emma actually preferred to do the art/coloring than watch TV--who would've known! So now off to find a craft project for today! Have a great Tuesday! :sunny:

FF- I would guess that pain is stress. :confused3 I can't imagine why you would be feeling that right now. :sad2: I sure hope the drain field does not have to be replaced. Let us know about what the Dr. says and what has to be repaired. :grouphug:

Hi Ryan!!! Glad you are back. Yes, it is stressful moving into a home, with all the things you want to do and little $$ to work with! Little by little you will get it done. Yes, I have had a hard time selling my kid's clothes on ebay too....I usually keep 2-3 outfits per child as keepsakes though. I hope that Alex calms down a bit for ya! Kids are so much fun. :joker: He's probably just a little nutty with the change of house and such. Or, he's just at that silly stage.

SL- I can't believe someone else turned in their notice! How many people are even left? Sounds like the Party Lite party was fun- they have nice candles. I hope your vacation gets here lickity split! :wizard:

Nucpharm- I want to keep my eye out for the Mickey Mouse clubhouse thing too- did it say specific stores it was being sold at, or everywhere? The Tickle Me Elmo sounds cute. I wonder if Costco will stock it once it's released...I may have to grab one for Molly. Yes, we are most likely just going to stick with remodeling our own home. I am going to call a contractor who worked on my parent's house in the next couple of weeks so he can come over here and give me an idea of what this will entail and cost.

It's rainy here again and my sinuses are all screwed up. I get bad allergies when it rains, esp when it hasn't rained for awhile. I guess because the rain is stirring up all the stuff on the trees and plants. Tonight my mom and I are going to the Coldwater Creek open house- we got an invite for a fashion show and wardrobe giveaway at the retail store (and food/dinner) and then the next hour we walk over to the Spa and they will be doing mini-treatments and a $600 spa giveaway! And desserts and wine! We are so there! :moped:

Hi everybody! I have two sleeping kids--a miracle! :cool1:

FF--So sorry about your septic. We've had various septic problems through the years, and they aren't cheap to fix OR lovely to smell! And the dryer, too--at least that you can sort of live without, for a while, but it is darn convenient! I hope things look up for you.

Robin--You know, sometimes it helps to see inside another house--it makes you appreciate the one you have. I happen to love looking at new houses, checking out layouts and decorating schemes, but I end up finding more that I dislike than that I like! The good news is, when I like something, I really like it.

I may be looking for the new Elmo for Celeste--she has kind of a love/hate relationship with the red guy. I think the hate part is her older brother's influence. She's also into "Hello Kitty" and Ariel is her favorite princess. So, no trouble finding things to put under the tree. Last year, my MIL got her the "Elmo knows my name, but DH had to program it (took forever). But now it calls her by name and says stuff like, "Celeste likes pancakes. Elmo does, too!", but totally random--like when she's in bed and I'm eating lunch or something.

Robin--Robert used to do the exact same thing, about waiting until the absolute last second to get to the bathroom. But what was really hysterical was, he would pull down his pants three rooms away, in an effort to be efficient, I guess. Um, Genius, you could move faster if your pants weren't around your ankles! But it would be so funny to see that little hiney shuffling through the house. He tried that stunt in Kindergarten, but his teacher put the kibosh on it--no flashing your rear end in class!

Alice--I found the mickey mouse clubhouse on Sears.com but out of stock--KBtoys.com had it but it was more expensive. From what the thread said, Walmart and ToyRus should be carrying it in the store. I don't know if you've actually seen it, but it's so cute and it talks and comes with a moving Mickey--and then you can buy the other characters to go with it. I guess they also said that there is a whole line of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys--including a cellphone as well as the clubhouse--I am really wanting ot get it for Emma for her bday, but we'll see

Hi ladies. I'm going to try and catch up a little but I know I won't get to everyone.

FF - I'm so sorry about your septic tank. I hope it's not too bad. :grouphug:

Robin - Your description eating out sounds exactly like my experiences. I try to avoid restaurants now.

Ryan - Good to see you! It is so hard to settle into a new house. You'll get there.

Hillbeans - When is the memorial for Steve Irwin on? My DD will certainly want to watch it. I bet we'll see Bindy working with crocodiles on tv in about 15 years.

nucpharm - That Mickey Mouse clubhouse toy sounds awesome. Aidan loves that show, but he doesn't play with toys. He much prefers choking hazards these days.

I can't wait to see the new Elmo. Aidan adores Elmo so I'll probably buy it for him for Christmas.

I got terrible news yesterday. My aunt got reports back on her situation (I mentioned a few days ago that she has a mass in her lung). At first the reports were borderline and now they sound bad. They saw abnormality in her thyroid and bones. I'm scared to death. I refuse to believe that she could really have cancer. It could still be an infection of some sort. She is only 40 years old and she is my pal :guilty: . I could not handle something happening to her. They are rushing the biopsy this week so hopefully we'll get better news when it is all over.

Well, I better go make my copies for tomorrow. I have a meeting after work today and Alex's back to school night. Luckily, I made soup in the crock pot last night when I got industrious.

Things have quieted down around here for the moment so I have a few minutes. I'd love to get Lucas that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toy but I wonder if it has a lot of small parts. I don't know who I'm kidding - they're already sold out and I'm not industrious enough to track it down. Maybe next year once the hoopla dies down.

DisKim - :grouphug: I sorry about your aunt. I hope it's good news.

BnB - :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: at Robert waddling to the bathroom with his bare heiney mooning his class!

Alice28 - Have a good time at the open house. It sounds fabulous with all those giveaways and free stuff.

floridafam - Have you pulled a muscle, maybe? I hope you feel better.

nucpharm - I haven't seen the new Elmo yet. Is that the TMX I keep hearing about? My mom has one at her house but it isn't Tickle Me; it's wearing a leather jacket and plays the guitar and sings.

We're attempting the Olive Garden again tonight. My friend really wants to go so we didn't tell her about our disasterous dinner on Sunday. I hope Lucas takes a good nap today.

Wow, a slow day! Perfect for me to be able to keep up with the posts. Henry is still sick so he has not let me put him down much since sometime on Saturday. Last year Madison basically had a perpetual cold so I'm hoping this year is a bit better since Henry is so young. He's been in his swing about 45 seconds and he's already freaking out. I slept on the couch holding him upright last night and that actually went well cause he ate at 7pm then not again till 1. Of course then he was hungry again at 3:30 (when I had a terrible headache) and 6:30 (but I'm up at 6 so the 6:30 is fine). Any suggestions about getting him to move that long stretch from 7-1 to something more like 12-6 would be appreciated! Like I'd ever be that lucky! :lmao: Last night actually worked out well cause I fell asleep by about 8:30 so I slept a decent amount. 6 weeks was when Madison went from waking every 2 hours to just once a night, but she did it in her own so I can't take any credit. I have to keep in mind that he should really be about 2 weeks old not 6 though.

FF, sorry to hear about your problems with the septic tank. We had one at the house I grew up in and I remember having a big problem with it once that cost a fortune to repair. Hopefully yours will not be anything too serious and/or expensive. :sad2: About the pain. I've had a similar pain before (at least I think by the way you describe it) and it's usually related to a bra, but I'm guessing that is not the case with you since it's ongoing. I hope you can find out what it is and get rid of it.

Ryan840, Madison was weird when we first moved in here too, but totally opposite. She became a good sleeper and slept in her room by herself everynight. If it means anything, she was soon back to her normal night-waking/must sleep near mommy self ( :furious: ) so hopefully Alex will be the same, only in a good way! ;)

Alice28, great that you have ruled out wanting that house before you got too into buying it. I hope that the basement wrk can be done for a good price. :wizard:

Joats that is too cute about Jace hiding everything in the Diet Pepsi container. It's like his own personal storage bin. And we had that problem with House and AR last year too. My husband loves to watch House then critique how fake it is that there are 4 drs to one patient and how they can do everything including pediatric neurosurgery. I look forward to him being on call on Tuesday nights so I can watch it in peace. Now this year AR is fine for me but it conflicts with my husband's idiotic Sunday lineup of Family Guy and American Dad. Well, at least this week it did cause it was 1.5 hours, not sure what will be affected regularly.

GM, that's terrible that your hours are cut back so much. I hope you can work something out that won't involve looking for a new job and daycare cause I know how hard that can be in the NYC area (esp. with daycare prices).

Dizagain, how did the haircuts go? When you get some time :rotfl2: , post a photo of your kids.

Hillbeans, funny how kids can stay dry everynight when they are wearing a pullup, isn't it? ;) I hope it's a trend that will stick for you! Thanks for the dvc advice too. If VB goes well then I think I can convince my husband to rent points on future WDW stays too. I think it would end up being cheaper for us.

Nucpharm your schedule sounds like a great idea and it's working well for you. :thumbsup2 I wish I could be so motivated to stick with something like that. Bedtime is the biggest routine we have here at the moment. Congrats on your consignment sale too!

SL, I hope your job works out till you're finished with school. And we too have been "that family" before. Just this month in fact when I went to the beach with my mom. And it was worse cause I was nursing Henry so I had to take care of that first before I could take her out of the restuarant, since I didn't think they'd want me walking through the place with a baby attached to my chest. It was only a couple of minutes from tantrum start to me leaving with her, but in that time a waiter complained to the manager who came over to the table to ask if something was wrong. Like I wasn't stressed enough about the screaming 2yo that I needed more attention drawn to the situation!

Fabumouse I can't hand pump either. I tried several times with Madison and no luck. I do have an electric pump that I love though and was well used with Madison when I had mastitis. This time it got a lot of use in for that wedding. Oh, and my grandfather lives in Essex County, Nutley to be exact. And if my husband had taken a job in NYC....

Zalanksy, I think you should do VB in early November when I'll be there! Sorry you couldn't see the wedding photos. Ha, not that they'd be so exciting to you anyway since you won't know anyone in them. Well, except me, but I'm not in all that many. But I had the same problem as you, it kept telling me that I had the wrong password but then finally just worked, not sure why. I think maybe I capitalized something or maybe had a space. It should be just ilana+david without any caps, but you probably tried that.

Oh, and Robin, thanks for the compliments. I do not feel that I look so good cause I cannot even drop one of the 10 pounds I have left. Well, actually, it seems to fluctuate between 8 and 15 pounds depending on the day. I walk at least 2 miles a day (sometimes I drive one way to or from preschool cause of the weather) so you'd think there would be an improvement.

I told Madison we could go to the park before it rains so I guess I should go now cause it's just a matter of time at this point. Henry seems to be doing okay on the couch next to me at the moment though so it's hard to leave. He's kicking my in the ribs-just like he did for 4 months before he was born!
