Morning all! We had a really fun time a our fav pizza place last night. We had a waitress that remembered us from when we lived here 4 years ago. Yes, we eat there a lot--anyway, turns out her husband now mananges the place and she was just filling in--But she has 2 little ones, and wants to get together for a playdate. Pretty cool! :cool1: And I tell you what, how nice it is to have a waitress that has young kids, she was so good with ours! Made dinner with 2 under 3 years so much more fun! :thumbsup2

All this talk of wandering the WS, is really putting me in some Disney w/drawl--Only 6 1/2 more months, sounds like forever!

Alice--I can just imagine all us moms (kid free of course) eating and drinking (hehe!) our way around WS--How fun--and then we could sneak over to Jellyrolls for some more fun!

bnb--have fun with just the 2 kids today!

justhat--we actually DON"T have to travel at peak season right now--BUT, Dh's parents always vacation in Florida during Easter week, and we're going (sort of ) with them. I wanted to go in January originally, could've gotten a 1 bedroom, stayed a whole week and still had points to spare--but now we're splitting our trip between the beach and WDW (in a studio) and it's still eating up our points-and we're trying to figure out how to add an extra day so we don't have to fly home on sunday after easter with everyone else--might have to borrow points from next years--but don't want to take too many of them b/c gotta meet up with the moms!!!

Well, DH has been an angel and has been taking care of Matthew this am, so I better go "rescue" him--I feel kinda bad making him take care of the kids this weekend, b/c next weekend he'll be flying solo with them!!! I'm already counting down the days until my girl's weekend!!!!! 6 more to go!!!

Hi to zalansky, J&D, SL, GLT, FF, dizagain, fabumouse, GEMS, and anyone else I inadvertently misssed! Have a great SAturday all!!

Good morning all :goodvibes

I have a question for you ladies who have sold at consigment sales before. I just found out there is going to be a huge consignment sale here in October and read the website about it. Apparently, I would need to tag my items and drop them off and they give me 70% of the profits! Sounds too good to be true! There is, however, a pre-sale for the other people consigning and I believe they get a discount. Anyway, I have lots of Gymboree things and other outfits too, some they never wore. How would I go about pricing these things? I am so lost. Any advice would be helpful. Also I am going to sell our swing and excersaucer.

I have already booked a trip back to WDW. Only 2 nights right after Thanksgiving (because that is all DH can take) at Saratoga Springs. I re-booked our Candlelight dinner and we are now seeing John O'Hurley which I am excited about. And I booked the dining plan as I wanted to!!!

I want to book Vero Beach but don't know when would be best? :confused3

Anyhoo - DH and I have a DATE NIGHT tonight  .....dinner & a movie. For the first time in a lonnngggg time. I will check back in later on.

Have a great day everybody! :wave2:

Zalansky - Congrats on booking another trip! John O'Hurley will be so great as a narrator too! :thumbsup2

Good luck with consigning! One of my good friends runs our consignment sale here and I've helped here out with it for a few years. I used to consign all of the girls gymbo clothes and those were snapped up quickly. I cashiered and everytime I saw my clothes come through the line I would get so excited! :teeth: If I happen to have stuff with tags on it still, then I would price an outfit for $12-15. I tried to keep as much stuff together as I could b/c it would sell faster. If I happen to have separates, then I would price shirts or pants around $5. Sweaters around $7 and dresses (really fancy ones not necessarily gymbo) from $10 on up. Does the consignment group have a website for their sale? Sometimes they will give pricing guidelines to help you out. I based my prices on what my friend suggested and I always did pretty well. I've never consigned baby clothes though b/c when my friend started the sale, the girls were older. Most of my stuff was toddler to 6x. I actually don't consign the girl's clothes anymore. I give them all to a friend of mine. The next consignment sale here is next month and I'm thinking of consigning John's old clothes.

Sorry for the long winded response! Good luck to you! :wizard:

ETA: If I had clothes that weren't brand name then I would sell shirts and pants for $1-$2. I also sold our old crib for $200 and I was kicking myself when I found out I was pregnant with John b/c I had no crib!

Just wanted to pop in to say a quick hello before we head out to the party for my nephews. I'll try to stop in again later to catch up with you all. Hope everyone has a great day!

zalansky--I'm just finishing up a consignment sale this weekend--It's a huge deal in our area--They allow up to 450 consignors and 75 items each. I've made around $121 so far, and that's after the $7.50 fee to participate and the company's 30% share. My dsis and I are using the $$$ for our trip next weekend. The sale I'm involved in, you can track your sales online--and the stuff that sold the quickest were Gymbo, Gap, local sports teams, and any baby gear. I also like the fact that after the sale you can choose to donate your leftover items, and it saves me from having to run to Goodwill myself. And whatever I don't want donated, I just go pick up on Monday, with my check. I've made more $$ doing consignment than garagesales.Good luck! I say go for it!

Z- Have a GREAT date night tonight! That's wonderful! I have never sold at a consignment shop, but it seems like Jill gave you some great advice. Good luck with that and I hope you make a mint! And your mini-WDW trip sounds great! What are you plans besides the Candlelight reading?

nucpharm- oh yes, drinking around the WS sounds good too! At least a margarita! Glad you had a good time out at dinner last night- I agree- a kid friendly waitress makes a BIG difference!

BNB- Hope you have a semi-quiet day with just the two kiddoes. It's amazing how the dynamic changes when 1-2 of the kids are taken out of the mix. I love those German shops too! The candy shop is esp fun with all the different gummies.

Kim- whoops- sorry I got my facts mixed up on your ordeal- no matter what, it sounds like it was a nightmare. I'm glad Emily had a nice horse to ride the other day, and that she's still enjoying that. Sorry your raise was so puny. :guilty: :guilty:

lissawynn- what a pain about your grading program- glad the tech guy could help you out though. I hope you are able to get out and about later. I saw that Macy's ad too about the shopping pass for $5. I love those little sleepers and gowns too. Carters has a whole new line of them I saw the other day when shopping for neighbor- the sweetest little patterns for both boys and girls. I am a big fan of those cotton gowns with just the elastic at the bottom, so in the middle of the night when you have to change a diaper, you just pull the gown up. I almost always get those as part of a baby gift.

Well, DH has to go out to work for an hour or so. We're all still in our PJs at 9:30. Well, Molly is dressed I guess... she is not liking her slightly too long Gymbo pants, but I know if I exchange the size, she will grow out of them in 6 weeks. I need to fix everyone breakfast. So on that note, TTFN! :moped:

Hi! Just got back from a FUN day at a wine festival...we went last year and the girls remembered and said "we ALWAYS go to that..." . Anyway, DH is not the best with babies in public - too tense if they fuss - but we ended up having so much fun. Carson only fussed once or twice and I think he enjoyed being outside all day since that's where he loves to be anyway. The best part of the day was the hour 15 minute drive...DH realized the three kiddos can't sit squashed in the backseat forever, we must get a van. I have an Isuzu Ascender that's only 1 year old but it's a small SUV and will not work for us any longer. I can't even take the kids friends anywhere! So,maybe after Christmas we'll look at vans.

Carson's tummy is finally better I think - he's been personable today at least.

Zalansky - have fun on your date! DH and I had a date at home last night when both DD's got invited to last-minute sleepovers. But Carson was very needy so we pretty much watched tv. Oh well. Lucky you to have a trip planned...I have to wait for two years which is KILLING me.

Diskim - What a day you had at school!! Sounds like Candid Camera or something!

All this talk about World Showcase is making me wanna go! I still haven't had a margharita since Carson was born - how pitiful is that?

lissawynn - just wait until you try to put those clothes BACK into your closet - you won't like any of them which is what I'm discovering. I pulled half of my old stuff out the other day and probably should have pulled more since I keep wearing the same stuff. I need to go shopping for me but I keep buying for the girls instead  I LOVE those baby gowns too - Carson wears them every night so I can change him in the dark easily!

Well, I need to go do a few things before Carson realizes his car seat is no longer moving! Don't you just love how they sleep in those things??

Have a great rest of the weekend!!

dizagain- glad you had fun at the festival! Sounds like it was a good time had by all!

Ladies who plan on going to the New Moms 08 meet, I have a question to pose. I was thinking about our meet and I was wondering, if we have to choose 1 restaurant where we all get together, where would you want to go? (I realize this is WAY in the future, but would be fun to discuss).

And you can pick 1 for just us gals, and one for maybe a family inclusive meal.
:scratchin
I need to think!

ETA- OK, I think a good family restaurant would be Whispering Canyon, with Crystal Palace as a runner up! But we also enjoyed 'Ohana and I'm sure the kids would all love Chef Mick's!

Still thinking about a ladies only restaurant...depends how many of us there are. The hibachi style ones usually seat 8, maybe 9 (Teppanyaki or gasp, we go to the Benihana at the Hilton). But I have never been to any of the restaurants on the Boardwalk- maybe one of those would be fun, as Jellyrolls was mentioned!

I think Val mentioned way back when that reservations could be made through group dining or grand gatherings- it will be so cool when we get to the point of actually making ressies for hotels, meals, etc.

We're still trying to figure out whether to go to Hawaii in March or June next year! If we go in summer, we can only book the cabins on the beach 75 days in advance cause they give priority to the airforce that's there....I'd be nervous we couldn't get one! But the airfare is HIGH during spring break. :confused3 I really want to decide soon though. I'm wanting to go in March, as Feb/Mar/Apr are a real drag here in Portland. The Californian in me starts getting really pi$$y in April, when it's still pouring rain almost daily, and no warm weather to be found for the most part...

Hey Gals!

Robin - good for you for having Sam watch his sister while you worked out. I insitituted a new rule in our house - anyone who wakes the baby up is responsible for the baby. I cannot tell you how many times either DH or DD have shouted down the stairwell right next to her swing after I've spent 30 minutes getting her to relax enough to sleep. :furious:

And I also leave my computer "on" all the time and get people on other threads saying - hellooooooo are you theeeeeeerrrrree??? :teeth:

Justhat - I cannot believe you wore any pre-maternity clothing that didn't involve elastic - congratulations! My only pre-maternity clothing that fits are PJ's. Big ones. :teeth: That experience with the blood draw sounds horrible!! :guilty: I'm really suspicious of this whole "breast milk jaundice" thing - I mean, that seems like nature has made a better design than for you to need to use formula instead. :confused3

Thanks for the tips on Goodnights - I think I'll give it a few weeks (time for school and schedules to settle down) and if there is still a problem bring some home and start the negotiations. I just hate that sinking feeling of "not another load of sheets to wash!!" and dizagain - poor Hayley - that must have really worried her at age 11.

Hillbeans - ah, yes the potty pager. I knew there was something out there like that - if you get one, please let us know how it works for you.

dizagain - enjoy your secret stash! When I was pregnant, I bought a huge bag of m&m's from Costco and inhaled them while I was on the computer. Hey - maybe that's a hint as to why my pre-maternity clothing doesn't fit. :thumbsup2 I love wine festivals - it's been so long since I've been to one.

Val - Disney in a week for you!! Hoorrah!

Diskim - OMG!!! What a freakin' mess! Sorry your day was so nutty - and hope the money gets resolved.

Jill - how was soccer? We missed today, due to a previously scheduled birthday party.

Lissa - I hear you on the clothing situation - my closet is stuffed, I have a huge dresser and I have boxes in the basement - all from different periods, pre pregancy, post pregnancy, working, etc. Someone really needs to organize and clean that all out! :teeth:

BnB - sorry about your night with Luke. Madeleine was good last night, but the night before we were up every 2 hours and I felt totally sick by the time the alarm went off. :sad2:

Zalansky - enjoy your date night! :yay:

Hi to all the moms I missed. :wave2:

I ordered all of Kailey's school clothing from the circle of friends Gymboree sale yesterday - I just love that sale! :thumbsup2

Good evening ladies! :goodvibes

Meagan's game got cancelled and Katie's team lost. They all played great though! :thumbsup2 We also went out to dinner after Mass tonight b/c frankly, I'm sick of cooking. John was a maniac and was practically diving into my pasta. He also was purposefully banging his head on the table. What is up with that? The girls were never as crazy as he is so Dave and I think we are in for an adventure with him. ;)

I'll try to catch up as best I can! :wave2:

dizagain - It sounds like you had a great day! I'm glad that Carson is feeling better too.

BNBmom - How did you survive today with the two little ones? How is Luke doing?

DisKim - I hope that you got some cuddle time with Aidan.

Justhat - How is Henry today? Did he have to go in for another bili check? I also want to let you know that I am here for you too if you ever need anything! Getting into DC is actually easier for me than it is for getting to school in Arlington.

Zalansky - Have a great time on your date night!

Hillbeans - How is Kevin doing? Do you have any special plans for Liam's 1st birthday?

Robin - O'hana, Whispering Canyon and Crystal Palace sound like a great plan for the family meals! I need to get my thinking cap on for where to eat for the ladies! :teeth: I hope that you all had a great day today!

fabumouse - Oh, I am right with you and Robin on going crazy when people wake the baby. The girls have been coming home from school lately and forgetting that baby brother is sleeping. John either gets woken up by them, the doorbell or the yappy puppy we have.

Nucpharm - That is so cool that they remembered you all at your favorite pizza place! :thumbsup2 Another wonderful bonus is that you and the kids will have a playdate with a new friend!

Val - Wow! One more week until your trip! Have a great time!

SL - How was your nephews party today? I'm still dreaming of your brownies with PB cups in it.

Lissawynn - When are they going to start construction on your house? Good luck organizing your clothes. I need to do that desperately!

GLT - How did the garage sale turn out?

Hi to Floridafam, Gems, J&D, Tamie, Ginamarie, Ryan840, Tasha, DisneyPhd, Gretchen, Joats, Bellacam, Cabmom and everyone! :wave2:

I almost forgot! I got my exchange buddy her goodies today! I'm so excited! :cloud9: Everyone have a great evening!

FYI- Similac Recall

"The Abbott health care company is recalling hundreds of thousands of bottles of infant formula distributed nationwide because they might not have enough vitamin C.

The recall is for approximately 100,000 32-ounce plastic bottles of Similac Alimentum Advance liquid formula and approximately 200,000 bottles of Similac Advance with Iron, Abbott spokeswoman Tracey Noe said Friday.

The bottles, distributed by Abbott's Ross Products division, are missing a special layer that keeps air out of the bottle, Noe said. When the oxygen enters the bottle, it causes the level of vitamin C to decrease over time, she said.

If infants drink formula without enough vitamin C for two to four weeks, they could start exhibiting symptoms of vitamin C deficiency, which include irritability with generalized tenderness, the company said in a release. So far, Abbott has received no medical complaints.

The Similac Alimentum Advance has stock code 57512, lot number 401895V and use-by 1 May 2007 printed on the back of the bottle; the Similac Advance with Iron has stock code 55961, lot numbers 40177RH or 40172RH and use-by 1 November 2007. Some of the bottles may have been included in Similac Advance Hospital Discharge Kits - stock code 58986 and lot number 41699D5 are printed on the back of the bear tag attached to the kit.

Abbott, formerly known as Abbott Laboratories, is based in suburban Chicago.

Consumers with questions can contact Abbott's Ross Products division at 800-624-3412."

I am finally headed to bed now. Will catch up sometime tomorrow (actually later today).

Morning all. I cannot sleep in anymore. As soon as DH gets up, I'm awake and my indigestion kicks in. My mom got me free samples of the script from the OB's office across the hall from her's, but I left them at her house yesterday. DH is going to let her dogs out this morning, so he's picking them up for me. I really hope they work. My dr. said if they don't work, he's concerned about me having an ulcer.

I didn't do very well on my shopping adventure. First, they're tearing up the parking lot at the mall with Macy's and the traffic patterns are all screwy. Next, you'd have thought yesterday was Black Friday. Macy's was packed. I didn't really look at anything. I couldn't get near the shoes and I saw no baby stuff on clearance. Either it was moved, or it was gone. Gymbo had nothing I liked, and I'm not entirely thrilled with the stuff I ordered for Jimmy. It just seems that their boys' colors are kind of muted or just blah. I do like how their stuff wears, though, so I'm keeping the couple pieces I bought. I also have 2 Gymbucks to use next time. I'm thinking by then I can shop for the baby. Also, a new Boscov's opened in the mall in a space that Strawbridge's used to occupy and that was crazy. I did get a Clinique lip gloss that I used to wear all the time, and I bought a mascara so I could get the free gift. I may take the mascara back and get another lip gloss to keep in my purse.
I did get a few final things for my exchange package and will try to mail it tomorrow.

DH was in the attic for most of the afternoon, tearing out staples and trying to figure out what to do with the old wiring that's up there.

Today is my day to wash and "try" to organize our bedrooms.

J&D - Thanks for the recall information. I think that's the formula my friend uses. I have to call her after she gets home from church.

Jill - As you already know, Jimmy is a head banger, too. I was looking through the One Step Ahead catalog yesterday and they sell a helmet for kids. It's marketed for new walkers who are unsteady, but I think they're lots of head bangers out there.

fabumouse - I really love to organize my stuff, but I'm just too tired these days to get motivated enough to do it. I should really learn how to list stuff on ebay, but again, the tired factor.

Alice - I think one of the places you mentioned, like CP or Ohana, would be great for a meal for all of us. If we just do a mom's meal, something a little more upscale would be great. I think my sister and nephew will be making the trip with us, so I hope it wouldn't be a problem to include them.

dizagain - Glad you had a good time at your wine fest. We're making plans for a trip to a really big fair sometime next week and I've very excited about eating my way around the fair again this year.

SL - Hope you had a great time at your party!

nucpharm - How nice that you had a great dinner and got a playdate!

zalansky - Good luck with your consignment sale. I used to take my clothes to a shop right after I graduated from college. I always did well b/c I was buying from popular shops for "younger" women. I'm sure my clothes wouldn't fetch nearly as much these days.

BnB - I hope your DH and kids had a nice trip to Mystic. Also, I hope you had a good day with the little ones.

Oh, we had a little pet medical drama yesterday. Since our German Shepherd has gotten older, DH can't take him for walks or rides in the car. Now that his work car is easy for the dog to get in and out of, I kind of told DH that he should take Duke with him on his coffee run. The dog was SO excited when DH took his leash off the hook. Anyway, DH gets home and tells me the dog's feet bled all over his tan back seat. He had that weird toe nail issue last year, but all of his nails have grown back. The poor dog was trying to support himself and pulled his du-claw off his paw. That's the one on the side, kind of like a "thumb". I had to bandage him and pretty much keep him from chewing at it yesterday. The bleeding stopped, but I still feel terrible for him.

Hi ladies! We're supposed to have summer weather here today and tomorrow before feeling like fall for good. I have to buy myself some fall clothes.

The party was nice yesterday except that it took too long. We were there for 6 hours! They didn't even serve food until after we were there for a couple hours. A lot of guests left before they even got to the gifts because the party was kind of dragging. But the boys got some cute stuff and I'm still kicking myself for forgetting my camera. Lucas seemed so much older at his first birthday than his cousins but they were preemies so I guess they're still catching up.

J&D - I heard about the formula recall on the news yesterday. My sister still uses Similac Alimentum for one of the twins and I let her know.

lissawynn - Sorry about your dog's paw. I hope he's not in pain. :guilty: Too bad Macy's was such a madhouse. I haven't been since our Filene's turned into Macy's and I wanted to go to the mall today. I hope it's not too bad.

llij - Lucas bangs his head into things when he's mad. Sometimes he'll do it very gently because he doesn't want to hurt himself, but look at me all defiantly as if he did something naughty. It cracks me up.

fabumouse - Good deal with the Gymbo sale! :thumbsup2

Alice28 - Not that I'm even sure I can go in 2007 or 2008, but Jellyrolls would be fun for a moms-only dinner. I've never been there but it sounds like it's a riot!

dizagain - Glad you had fun at the wine festival and Carson's feeling better.

zalansky and nucpharm - Good luck with your consignment sales. :wizard:

Lucas is awake and it doesn't sound like DH is. I better get them both. :sunny:

Lissawynn,
Your poor pup :( . I hope the new meds help with the indigestion. If not, make sure your doc checks for an ulcer. You have been suffering way too long :grouphug: .

J&D,
Thanks for the formula heads up. I will pass it along to my friends who use formula.

Jill,
Katrina is a head banger too. She does it when she gets frustrated and then she cries because it hurts to smash your head on the table or the floor  .

Fabumouse,
I hope you snagged some good deals at Gymbo. I'm avoiding their site like the plague right now since I have managed to spend way too much there lately ;) .

Robin,
I think it would be fun to do a character meal at either Chef Mick or CP with our whole group. WCC has never interested me but if everyone wants to go there I will certainly go with :) . I think Tamie mentioned awhile back it would be neat to do the GF tea with all the moms and of course we must have an evening of shopping, drinking and eating around the WS :teeth: .

dizagain,
I'm glad you had such a nice day at the wine festival :sunny: !

Nucpharm,
Sounds like you did well at the consignment sale :thumbsup2 .

SL,
Hope the party was fun :sunny: .

Loretta,
Congrats on making your reservations :cheer2: . Hope you had a fun date night  .

Hi to all the other moms  . Hey Ryan, are you out there? I've been thinking of you and wondering how you are doing in the new house. Stop over and update us if you have a chance :) .

DS had a wonderful 7th birthday yesterday :) . They lost at the soccer game but everyone played well and there were no tears which is a huge plus :thumbsup2 . Then we had a few relatives over for cake and he got some really good presents including Lego Star Wars 2 which he has been asking for for months. I can't believe my little boy is 7.

My grandfather is doing better. They transferred him to a rehab center so he can get used to walking with a back brace and a walker. He is in much better spirits.

Today we are off to the eye doctor so I can have my check-up for my contacts. Then to Kohl's to pay my charge and Target to get stuff for the trip. It's starting to sink in now that it is very soon. I'm starting to get excited  .

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday  .

Just popping in to say hello. I haven't even had a chance to lurk lately! I am thinking of you, miss you and hope to have a chance to catch up more later.

All's okay here, just busy.

lissawynn- Your poor doggie :( I hope he's feeling better.

Val- Glad to hear your grandfather is doing better.

Sorry if I missed a lot of stuff. I have to make a quick post and get back to unpacking around here.

DH was home yesterday, so we put together our bathroom cabinet and unpacking a bunch more stuff. I found the missing china! I was starting to get really concered, but it worked out. Mom is coming over Tuesday and hopefully she'll be able to help me organize the cabinet so that it will look pretty and fit a lot of stuff. I'm not sure if we'll get to that though, since there are still so many other things I could use her help with. DH set up the guest room/office, so hopefully he can upload some of our pictures soon. DSis had a good time sleeping over. We ate brownies and watched the last 2 episodes of Project Runway.

Oh, and DBro stopped over for a few minutes yesterday while he and his fiance were looking at houses in the area. I got to see the wedding dress she picked out (on the computer). Then they continued their search and found a house they love-- about 3 blocks from where I live. :goodvibes They're probably going to bid on it this week.

Olivia is doing really well with foods. She liked oatmeal the best out of all the cereals, and got to try fruit (banana) for the first time yesterday. She seemed to like it. She gets more bananas later, so I'll see how she does.

Alice- Just about any WDW restaurant sounds good to me right about now. We haven't been to Chef Mickeys in years and years, but we're going back this December. I love CP and WCC. For a ladies only night, definately something in the WC.

PS I LOVE the stores in the WC too. DH and I always check out the candy from each country. It's like the best window shopping I get to do all year. We usually don't buy much though (unless you count food)

OK, back to the Nemo bathroom organization project!

Nucpharm - This sound identical to what I am going to do. We get 70% and we can choose to donate what is leftover. I have toyed with doing the Ebay thing but the fees are a PITA and then getting to the post office is also a PITA. And somehow I always fall short on my shipping. Anyway thanks for th info.

I have one other question and Robin you asked what else we plan to do when we go to WDW late November. That is my question. With the dining plan we will have one other sit down meal and I don't know where we should go! Any suggestions from you gals?

We saw The Guardian last night with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. It was really good...long but really good. When watching Aston all I could think of was him and Demi Moore.

I will come back and catch up with a proper post later on. :teeth:

Morning all! We went to church last night, so we got to sleep in this am (or at least as much sleeping in as you can with 2 young ones) I've also already hit the grocery store, and got a roast in the crockpot for dinner tonight. We're supposed to have some severe weather move through here later this afternoon, so I want dinner done in case we lose power!

Robin--I'm all for doing Chef Mickey's with the families when we get together. It's sort of like tradition for us now to hit Chef Mickey's for breakfast before we head over to MK for the first time. But for us mom's only--that's a little different, I would think something definitely in WS--my fav is Le cellier--but I'm always game for whatever (if food is involved, I'm there! ;) )

lissawyn--Ouch for your dog! I hope he's not in any pain--our dog has an extra du claw, and my mom thinks we should have it removed b/c of the chance it could get hung on something--HOpe your heatburn is a little better!

gina--good luck with the organization! I remember those days all too well! Congrats on finding your china!

sl--boy, that bday party sounds extremely long, especially for little ones!

Okay, so here I am being the nosy neighbor. We actually only have neighbors on one side of us b/c all the other house are still for sale. Well, the one across the street is having an open house, and I'm sitting here peering out my window sizing up our potential neighbors--how bad!!! WEll, better go find some lunch! Have a relaxing weekend everyone!

Nucpharm- I have to admit, I would probably be peeking out the window too, sizing up new neighbors.

lissawynn- Gosh, I hope you don't have an ulcer! Hopefully that med your mom grabbed for you will work out. Sorry you weren't able to find anything at Macy's. Gymbuck redemption is 10/5-15 I think, so as long as they can see baby's gender, you will be able to redeem on baby stuff! :thumbsup2 And your poor dog- that sounds miserable.

Zalansky- you know one of the best meals I have had at WDW is dinner at Kona Cafe. So darn tasty- have you eaten there before? I don't know if you were going to hit MK, but maybe you could squeeze in a dinner there. When my mom and I did our first girl's trip, we ate there the first night, and liked it so much, we ate there the last night too, cancelling another ADR somewhere else.

GLT- Good to see you! Hope you are able to pop in more often to chat with us! Is your DH feeling better? DD liking kindergarten?

Fab- glad you scored at the COF sale at Gymbo! I actually skipped it, can you believe it? I just bought WAY too much at the baby sale, and between my mom's shopping and mine, I have 7 Gymbucks. I plan on getting my older son a nice jacket during redemption, and then all of them some Christmas outfits, as the Christmas lines are coming out during redemption.

GM- thank goodness you found your china! How's the bathroom coming along? That's so cool that your brother might be a neighbor!

That house we keep eyeing went down 10K, but is still 50K too much. I think we are settled that we will just invest 50K in this house next year and stop thinking about another home.

Val- FIVE DAYS! What are you going to do your first afternoon/night you are there? Is work still going OK? How is DS in school? I remember you sharing with us he was struggling a bit last year- is he beyond all that now? I hope so. :grouphug:

FF- did your DH pass that exam at work? I hope so.

Jill- Yes, I think John might give you a run for your money! Boys are just, well, boys. They do crazy things, let me tell you. Although Molly is quite a character too. I'm sick of cooking too, although I need to make my shopping list for today's grocery store run and meals for the week.

SL- I think 6 hours is WAY too long for a party! I would have been going nutty. I need to buy myself some fall clothes too. Just a few things though. I want to place a Lands End order next month I think.

No real plans today. DH took the ACs out of the windows. He is contemplating taking the boys to the circus this afternoon- Ringling Bros is here. I think every kid should go to the circus once. I need to get to the store, or I may just put it off til tomomrrow.

Oh my....my kids are so cute sometimes. Molly just wanted Sam to pick her up, so he did and now he's rocking her in the chair and they're watching the Wiggles together. And he's giving her kisses on her head!  It's so neat to see them love each other so much- as an only child, I just always saw my cousins fighting non stop...this is a much nicer picture!

zalansky,

When is that consignemt sale? Do they have a website?

You'll have to try VB during the Fall sometime. That is our favorite time to go and that is always when we went when we lived in Michigan. The weather is perfect and it is not too crowded because everyone here is in school.

I'm not sure where else you should eat in November. We don't usually do a lot of sit down places but want to try more in the future.

Robin,

I'm up for any restaurant at WDW for the Mom's meet.

lissawynn,

I'm sorry about your dog. :guilty:

I hope you don't have an ulcer. Your indigestion does sound bad. Even at my worst, I only had it mainly at night. Keep us posted. :grouphug:

ginamarie,

It sounds like you've gotten a lot done. Can't wait to see some pictures. :thumbsup2

I just made chicken noodle soup and it turned out so well. I was kind of nervous. It was SO easy. I cooked the veggies, added store bought broth and cut up a store bought cooked chicken. Everyone had second helpings. It only took about 1/2 an hour to make.

We are hanging around the house today. I want to go out tomorrow and get one more thing for my buddy and then I'll mail my exchange package out.

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday. Hi to everyone I missed.
