Howdy all!

Today was crazy!!! Dsis and I and the kids walked the Race for the Cure this am with 42,000 other women and 3000 men lining the streets. It was the coolest thing to be a part of (except I had to be up at 5am this morning!) My daunt is a breast cancer survivor so doing this run/walk is really important to me.

Then went and got Emma a halloween costume--think it's going to be a "Tink" year for the Dis girls. Emma was all set to be Princess Aurora, until she saw the tinkerbell costume (my opinion, the aurora costume was much cuter on her--but oh well--it's not about me, right? ) So now she's tinkerbell!

THEN, after that we had to run out again for DH's company picnic. It was really fun--Inflatables for kids to play on, lunch, Bingo, egg toss; the whole nine yards.

And finally we had to go to my parents house to drop some stuff off--I'm exhausted!!! And then I just realized that I have to be at church 45 min. early tomorrow b/c I'm working in the nursery! Isn't the weekend supposed to be relaxing????? Oh well!

z--how scary with the lyme disease. I hope you start feeling better soon! :grouphug:

Gems--what a jerk!!!! Can't believe someone would do something like that to anyone, less a pregnant woman and her baby daughter! Hugs to you too!! :grouphug:

poohangel--Welcome!!!!!!! Hope you enjoy our craziness around here!

GLT--I think our "aunts" must be talking or something, b/c mine showed up here this week after a 19 month hiatus! I forgot how crappy the whole thing is! I mentioned this to DH and he said "Well, at least that's one good thing about being prego--no aunt flo to deal with" Yeah, like that entices me to get preg. again!

Well, I better go--DH is wondering where I am. Chat later!!

dizagain,
thanks, i mostly lurk because faith keeps us hopping around here. she really cracks the whip.

Nucpharm- good for you for doing Race for the Cure! :thumbsup2 They did it here in Portland a couple of weeks ago and it's always a HUGE turnout here too. And be sure to post a pic of Emma in her Tink costume. We will all have some cute Tinkerbells! I picked up my 8x10 of the kids yesterday, but I don't have a scanner anymore, so I can't scan it in for a siggie pic. Hopefully I can remember to take it to my mom's.

Poohangel- those first few months sure are hard as far as sleep deprivation! It does get a bit better around the 3-4 month mark! Hang in there!

Val- I can't remember- did you go on Ex. Everest? Did you love it? I'm excited to get to see the Yeti again! Which building were you in at POFQ? I've stayed in the two outer buildings, 1 and 7. Let's see, did you sniff that funnel cake for me? ;)

Diz- oatmeal cookie ice cream?!?!? Oh wow- I may have to go to 31 Flavors sometime soon!

Hi Joats! Thanks for the input on Backlot Express; and Tamie and I think BNB, thanks for the Starring Rolls tip too- I will definitely look into those menus. I think we will actually end up spending the least amount of time at MGM this trip- I really only like TOT and RNRC, and the boys love Star Tours of course. We saw both Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast last trip, and I have no desire to see them again so soon. Maybe we will see the stuntshow and do the backlot tour. I haven't done the tour since our honeymoon and I thought it was sooooo lame. Is it any better in recent years? Anyway, I know we want to do AK for at least two days, Epcot at least 2 days and MK multiple times, but maybe just for 3-5 hours a shot.

Hey, guess what I discovered today....two of my children have pink eye! :magnify: Joshua has been telling me for 2-3 days that his eyes 'hurt' him, but they didn't look pink, nor did he have much discharge (just the normal goobers in the AM). Today they started looking red and he told me when he got up he had the 'biggest eye crusties EVER!' and then when Molly woke up from her nap, one of her eyes had the gunk. Sigh. I remembered I had a whole unused thing of antibiotic eye drops from a few months ago when Molly had pink eye AND an ear infection. The doctor told me the oral antibiotics would clear it up, but would give me the drops anyway to have on hand. So, I decided to keep my $40 I would spend hearing a doctor tell me they both have pink eye and just give them the drops. DH is helping me do them so I am SURE the dropper touches neither of their eyes. Poor kiddoes.

Now I hope I don't get it! If Sam does, I will take him in cause I will need more eye drops!

Anyway, I have been so grumpy all day and DH went to go get me some soup. I feel VERY PMS-y, and yet it's still not here. I just want to crawl in bed.

Fabumouse- it would be cool if we wound up on the same cruise. My mom is really gung ho about trying to book another Disney cruise because everyone had such a great time on the last one. We looked into the Mediterranean ones for this coming summer, but there was no way we could swing it with the airfare needed for everyone!

Buzznbelle- I hope you have the oxyclean ready for when Robert gets back from potato picking!

FloridaFam- Good luck getting out of TRU without spending too much!

Zalansky- My DH gets a little weary about my “internet people”, but then I remind him that he and I actually met through the internet. I’m sorry about the Lymes disease. It’s good that they were able to diagnose you though. For some reason Lymes can be tough to be diagnosed. I know a couple of people who have it, and they’re both in good health, though I think they’re both on medication to keep things monitored.

GLT- Sorry about Flo!

Gems- OMG what a jerky kid! :confused3 I don't know what makes people act so poorly sometimes. I’m glad that you and Shelby didn’t get hurt though.

DisKim- Your shopping day with Emily sounds like a lot of fun.

Poohangel- Welcome to the thread!! :welcome: Your little girl was born on a great day (that’s my birthday too). Baby Faith looks precious.

Tykes- Sounds like you had a fun date night. I actually went to U of M for a year, but we could never get tickets to see the Gophers, because the games were so popular. I still remember the college song though!

Joats- We’re doing pumpkin picking tomorrow too. I’ll be driving through your state on my way to Massachusetts. :moped:

Nucpharm- We usually do the local breast cancer walk too. Yours sounds much larger though.

Alice- Yes, the backlots tour is still incredibly lame. We’d skipped it the last several trips, but went on our last trip and were disappointed. Back in the old days it was actually longer and you got to see more (same goes for the animation tour, which is almost non-existent now). I actually feel like a lot of the MGM park could use an overhaul. We love ToT and the RnRC, but a lot of the park is just ok. I was sad that they closed down the Millionaire show, because I’d been trying so hard to get into the hot seat. On our last vacation, I was in first place just as they ended the show. Sorry about the pink eye :(

My dining room fixture is finally up. It’s so pretty! The porch lights- um no, but I have to be satisfied getting things done slowly. We have a big group doing pumpkin picking/6 Flags tomorrow (about 14 people), so it should be interesting. :crowded: I just want to get a decent sized pumpkin that I can paint for Olivia. DH made us a homemade mocha-shake tonight with dinner. He’s a good egg. :love2: OK, time to make sure we’re packed and ready for tomorrow and then I’m headed for a bath and bed. I’m too nervous to watch the end of the Mets’ game.

I only have 30 minute internet intervals here so I have to be quick. I had to come on though to say that we went to a mall here today and they had a See's Candy store!! My mom was so mad at me for taking her in there as she really wants to lose weight before Henry's christening and the candy was just way too good. We got some of the loose stuff and then a box to take home. I even let Madison get her own box (just like the one you sent me Robin, but with a Halloween print on it) cause I don't want to have to share mine with her! So good!

Poohangel, welcome to the thread! Faith sounds a lot like Madison was as a baby, and yeah, she got better. I hesitate to say this but it wasn't till she was 4 months old that she was "better" though. But hey, you're almost halfway there already!

Z, a friend of mine found out she had Lyme in December and after taking the medication she is pretty much fine now. She thinks she had it about 3 years before she was diagnosed and told me all of her ailments which sound a lot like what you mentioned. It was really bad at the end though and she was dizzy and felt like she was going insane. But she's okay now and said the drugs worked wonders. Also, I mentioned it at dinner tonight and my mom's collegue told me he had it a couple of years ago and said he's been totally fine since he took the month of drugs. So I'm sure you'll be okay too, but I know how scary it is so lots of hugs to you.

I gotta go so my mom can get online to pay a bill. I talked to her about how my husband wants to go to a MVMCP in December but I don't want to spend the money and she said she might be able to come with us, which means she'll pay for some of it, like meals. We can get 2 plane tickets with our FF miles so that means we just have to pay for 1 ticket and the room, and it will only be 2 nights. My husband wants to book it tomorrow so the ff miles don't book up so we'll see. My mom is going to London the day after Christmas so she really wanted to go someplace with us beforehand so that's why she's so willing to go. We used to do a vacation every Christmas since my father died-he died November 10th and the first Thanksgiving was hard for us so a few days before Christmas my mom decided we should just go away instead of being home and sad and so we've done that ever since. This year we didn't think we would cause of Joey's schedule, but looks like we might get a couple of days out of it. I hate to say it but I wish it were somewhere other than WDW since we'll be there next month, but whatever, I'll take any vacation.

Okay, let me let my mom check her credit card statement before our free half hour runs out. It's weird, you can either buy 30 minutes of internet time for $6.95 or get 30 minutes free. Do people really buy it?

GM - I'm going to Six Flags today too :Pinkbounc !

Angela - Welcome and congratulations!

Val - Oh, don't feel bad if you can't respond to everyone. I read everything and respond to it all in my head, but when I go to type my post, I know I forget abou half the things I wanted to say.

Diz - That ice cream sounds really good!

Joats - I got the jacket and accessories at Old Navy. It's one of those that looks like suede and has the really soft fuzzy inside. It's my size so I can steal it ;)

Nucpharm - Great job doing the race for the cure :thumbsup2 . My neighbor did one this weekend and I am so upset that I forgot to get over there and give her my donation. My stepmother is a breast cancer survivor.

Tamie - You are not being too personal at all. We really need something to change. I was ready to put an offer on that house with a contingency if I liked it. However, the fire made me a little nervous. Maybe it's a sign :confused3 ?? It's just hard to do anything until DH has finished with his master's degree. That will be in March so it's not all that far away.

Robin - My DH likes to talk with the girls when they're over too. I have to shoo him away!! I'm sorry to hear the kids have pinkeye.

I forgot to share a story the other day. Aidan has become an escape artist. I never had one like this before. He walks right out the front door. He has only done that with me right there, but the other day he decided to try it out alone  . I was cleaning the kitchen with him right next to me. Suddenly, my mommy radar went off and I realized he had slipped away. I started looking for him and didn't see him. I called "I'm going to get you" (the only thing Aidan responds to) and I heard a very faint laugh. Then, I saw something run past the front door. It was Aidan and he was laughing at me. He had walked right out the front door and was playing on the porch :scared1: .
Well, I better wake up DH and get everything ready for 6 Flags today.

We had a great day yesterday! Tyler had a lot of fun and LOVED eating an apple.

Here he is with his apple

diskim - OMG about Aidan escaping out the front door!!

nucpharm - I bet Emma will look adorable as tink!

justthat - That would be great if your mom could go with you!

ginamarie - Yes, Gopher tickets are very hard to get!

diz - That ice cream sounds amazing!

alice - Oh no on the pink eye! That's great that you have drops already.

val - Hope you had a good day shopping!

joats - Have fun at the pumpkin patch! My brother lives 2 hours north of us. You would think we would see him a lot because that's not that far away, but unfortunately we don't!

Gotta run, time to hop in the shower. We are going to my parent's house to watch football and eat some beef stew, yum!

Good morning all! I just have a minute, as usual, but I'm so excited! I just found out that there's one of those "meal prep" places near me--you know where you go and make the meals and freeze them. It would be perfect for next week, when DH has to do ANOTHER 72 hour work week, even though they promised only one. Anyway, I'm looking into seeing if I can get in there this week some time.

And I went to our regular grocery store today--they just came out with Chocolate Moose Tracks ice cream. I got some for the kids, but they are not to brag about how tasty it is to me, under pain of death! I'll probably eat a half gallon of it after Luke weans. They also have Caramel Caribou, which is vanilla with caramel cups and a caramel swirl--my testers will have that, too.

Poohangel--Welcome to our thread! The sleep thing does get better, eventually. You DD is adorable, and I love her name.

Gina--Robert came back from potato picking with brown socks, they were white when he left! But he was more dusty than muddy. And I have to agree, we had the least interesting time at MGM--not much at all for Celeste. The older two filled out a day, but there's not a ton of stuff there. I would have rather done more Epcot.

Robin--Too bad about the pink eye. Yuck! I love planning Disney trips--and my kids did EE twice, and had a great time (although twice was enough for Robert).

nucpharm--I did Halloween costumes yesterday, too. Robert will be a ninja--he's more interested in the swords and the mask, he would go naked and wouldn't care. Jocelyn got a lab coat to be a mad scientist, and we'll splatter it with fake blood. I got some green gunk to put in her hair, and a few accessories, like a brain and severed arm, to round out the costume. Ah, it seems like yesterday when I was making priincess dresses!

"Hi" to every one else!

Hi Everyone! Just sent Hannah off to a b'day party at CHEESECAKE FACTORY...major envy here. Now both DD's are saying they want to take a few friends to eat and get a manicure or something for their b'days in February - would be nice to avoid the slumber party thing altogether! :Pinkbounc Not much going on here, just have to drop Hayley over at a friend's house in a little while and run to the store. Hannah decided to have a birthday party for her AG doll, Kit, tomorrow since the kids are home from school. She and her friend delivered invites to the neighbor girls and they are actually coming! So, today as she's heading off to the party, she casually tells me her plans and asks me to "pick up a few things" for her... So, I guess I will go to the dollar store since it's next door to the grocery anyway and get her some b'day plates. No major investments.

Buzzn'Belle - Hope you get to go the dinner place - I always think about it but never follow through...you'll have to let us know what it's like! The girls decided on their final costume choice too - Hannah is going to be the Wicked Witch of the West in a group with other Oz friends and Hayley is going to be a baby with a group of her friends. Don't need to buy much for them - just some accessories. Carson is wearing his Bengals outfit for his Daddy.

tykes - LOVE those adorable pictures!!! Sounds like a fun day!

diskim - Yikes about Aidan-the-escape-artist! Hope you guys have fun at Six Flags! We live like less than 10 minutes from one but we never go...this would be a perfect day weather-wise!

justhat - hope your mom comes through with the holiday trip help! That is so very nice! My mom does alot for us too and it is wonderful. She just took us to Maine this summer, bought Carson a ton of his stuff, and paid for Hayley and Hannah's music lessons for the semester, and we are SO GRATEFUL! When I was growing up, my grandparents did so much for us as well...I only hope I have the opportunity to do the same one day for my kiddos!! :)

ginamarie - So glad your dining room fixture looks great! Don't worry about rushing - everything will eventually get done! Hey, we actually have porch lights but they DON'T WORK! The outdoor outlets are also non-functioning, so I'm thinking it's a fuse or something. DH says to call an electrician as he has no idea about such things...guess I'll get to it sometime - must be done by Halloween! Have fun at Six Flags!

alice28 - sorry about the pinkeye! Yuck! I'm watching Carson closely, as I can't tell if his eye goop is just his cold or not...have no idea where he would have gotten pinkeye, though! Hope you're feeling better!

poohangel - Sorry Faith is fussy! Carson is pretty laid back, but my middle one was quite the screamer. It will get better soon - I always told myself it couldn't get any worse!

nucpharm - That's so great that you guys did the Race for the Cure yesterday! Hannah was Tink two years (oh so long ago....) and she was SO CUTE!! Thanks for making me remember that!

Vald - Such a great DH you have! Hope you have a great shopping trip!

Well, Hayley has informed me that she is ready to go and she wants Carson to come so she can show him off again. I need to roll my hair real quick as it is scary until I do! Have a great Sunday, everyone!!

Hey super ladies!

Last night was rough - Madeleine just wouldn't settle down for more than 15 minutes at at time. Grunt, fart, grunt, fart. I'm afraid it might be the caffeine I had yesterday. I really hate continuing to give up coffee, but I suppose it's better than getting no sleep. Of course, why would coffee make her fart? Come to think of it, why would *anything* make her fart?? :lmao:

Tkyes - that's one beauty of DH's work all being out of town - we have tons of airline points all just waiting for trips to WDW. :thumbsup2 So glad you had a great date night - that's something I keep meaning to do but never get there.

And I LOVE that pumpkin photo!

Robin - That's nice that your DH is such an easy conversationalist. My DH can be, if he's interested in the subject matter and it's an interesting topic, but he's terrible at polite chit chat and I'm often trying to get him to participate instead of *stare* at everyone. And too bad you don't like Mama Melrose's that much - I think it was one of my favorite meals, it was low key and had something for everyone. :)

Joats - I think starring roles is at the top of the street heading down to TOT. Am I right about this? We got fruit and bagels and smoked salmon. It was an easy breakfast on our MGM morning.

Dizagain - wow, the idea of not having to hover and protect at a shopping mall. Oooooh, it gives me chills!

DH only thinks it's kind of weird when I start making a fuss over my tags. Although he thinks Robin's is hysterical, so he sorta gets it.

PoohAngel - I PROMISE That it gets better. It just doesn't feel like it. Faith is your first, right? I felt that Kailey (my first) would stay a newborn FOREVER and she would never quit crying and fussing. And one day I turned to my husband and said, OMG, she's a toddler!!! What happened?? With Madeleine, she's so mellow that there's not much comparison, but even with me being up last night for most of the night dealing with the grunting, it didn't feel overwhelming because I know once she's 4 months (at the latest) this will no longer be my reality. :goodvibes

Nucpharm - that's great about the race!!! It must be very moving to have that many people in one spot for the same cause.

Ginamarie - how was 6 Flags?? And ITA about the Backlot Tour - the last time we went, Kailey was yawning halfway through it and I was wondering -was it always this lame and I didn't notice it? They really need to do something with it.

Justhat - we also do trips every fall, and I'm really going to miss not doing one this year. :guilty:

I really really should do some laundry. :laundy:

Hi everyone :goodvibes

tkyes - love the pumpkin patch photos! Especially the one with all the pumpkins in the background.

fabu - I had to laugh at the grunt, fart story of last night. Sorry to chuckle at the expense of your sleep but the way you phrased it is hilarious.

poohangel - WELCOME and fabumouse is right, it does get better. Hang in there. Believe it or not you might look back on these days and miss them, strange as it sounds. I know I do!

Gina & Diskim - I am jealous you girls are going to Six Flags today! I miss that park alot from when I was growing up. Didn't one of you tell me they closed the drive thru safari? We always loved the monkeys!!! :rotfl:

BNB - what is the name of the meal prep place near you? I went to one almost a year ago here and it was called Let's Eat. We didn't care too much for some of the meals (mind you my DH is super picky with food as is Connor, my 3 year old) so I never went back. I know Jill has been to some great ones though.

nucpharm - I am glad you had such a good walk yesterday! How great of you to do that.

dizagain - I am so jealous pf your DD's Cheesecake Factory trip! MMMMMM!!!

Alice - sorry about the pink eye! Hopefully it clears up fast. Are you getting excited doing all the plans for WDW? That's a dumb question but I thought I'd ask anyway.

justthat - Lucky you if you go again in December! We have not been to the Christmas party yet, I can't wait to do it one day. Any more news on whether you might go or not yet?

Vald - hope you got some rest and are feeling better.

Well, we went looking at houses again today and I am discouraged yet again. It just looks like for what we WANT we'd have to finance at least $250k. On one salary I just don't see how we'll do it. Taxes are up to about $5k a year and then there is HO insurance. And fees if we decide to live in a planned community. DH makes good money but we are only living on his salary. With me not working it is so hard! My best friend has a mortgage of $2k a month and she says they do just fine, that the money is always there. But ours right now is about $1300 and it makes me nervous to double it.

Also - Thanks to everyone for the well wishes about my Lyme's. I can't even believe I have it still. My being a semi-hypochondriac paid off this time because had I not done my internet searches trying to diagnose myself my doctor would have never suggested Lyme's. And who knows how long I'd have gone in pain.

Hi to all the moms I missed - hope you're having a wonderful weekend. :cloud9:

We had a great day at the Pumpkin Patch!! We went on a hayride, walked thru a corn maze and picked pumpkins. Jace just kept saying "tractor" over and over and wanted to go on again. Here's a few photos from the day (if I can get it to work).

IMG_1738.jpg

IMG_1751.jpg

Z: I am so glad you are being treated for the Lyme's. Good lookin' out for yourself!! Did the MD say how long until you'll feel better? I wouldn't want a 2K monthly mortgage either.

Fabumouse: Thanks for the Starring Roles tip! I hope Madeleine does better for you tonight and you get some sleep.

Dizagain: I love the cheesecake factory!! I wish we had one near me. I haven't been to one since I was in Florida.

BNB: Your kids halloween costumes sound great. Neat ideas.

Tamie: I can't believe how grown up Tyler is! He is so adorable. He really has changed a lot. What a great pumpkin photo.

DisKim: Hope you had fun at Six Flags! Man, that Aidan is a fast one!!

GM: Hope you had fun in Mass. Did you get any pumpkins?

Robin: Sorry to hear aobut the pink eye running thru your kids. Yuck!

Hi Jill, Nucpharm, Poohangel, Justhat,GLT, Bellacam, Val, J&D, and anyone else I'm missing.

We had such a great day, but I'm sunburned and exhausted. I dread going back to work again tomorrow. I ALWAYS get the Sunday night blues :(
It's not that work is so bad, it's just I'd rather be home with Jace and DH for a few more days of the week.

Have a good night!
:)

Tamie and joats - What adorable pictures! I heard on the news that there is a pumpkin shortage this year, but it didn't look that way in those pictures!

zalansky - You are in exactly the same situation as I am here. If we tried to move into a bigger home, we would have a 2K mortgage as well. I would never do that to myself. My mom once said that you can either have a house and live or you can live for you house. I thought that was a great way to put it. Oh, and yes, the monkeys now are fenced in. I like it that way. I was always afraid of running one over or leaving with one on my roof.

GA was a lot of fun today but Alex kind of ruined it when we left. He got an attitude because he wanted to stay at night to see the ghouls. We stayed and saw the "funeral" when they all come out so I thought that was enough. Well, when we were leaving, he scared me half to death by hanging back while we were walking out. I didn't see him for a split second and thought he had gotten lost. When I saw him with that sour face he gets, I was so angry. I actually yelled at him in public. I never do that. Aidan was a doll baby all day. He was blowing kisses to the scary ghouls as they passed by during the funeral and he was making eyes at the teenage girls next to us. They were melting. He has a way with women ;) .

Well, I have to grade papers now. I'd rather do anything other than work now but it has to get done.

I just have a quick second, but I wanted to say to joats--isn't it funny how boys just LOVE their toys, even at a young age? When we went to the pumpkin patch on Wed., Luke was all bug-eyed over the tractor--and he's 7 months old! It's just so funny how young they start, isn't it? Robert was the same way...still is. Come to think of it, so is DH..and my FIL used to have a backhoe that he used on weekends. Ah, men, you gotta love 'em!

P.S. Jace is just adorable in your new pictures! He's getting so big!

Oh, and the cooking place is "My Other Kitchen" I assume it's a franchise, but don't know much else. I'm going Wed., while DH is (cough, cough) sick. I'll let you guys know more after I try it. the menus seem a good mix of classics (mac and cheese and mealoaf were two choices) and fancier, like maple glazed salmon and Greek pasta.

Hello friends!

I forgoed DISing and aerobics this afternoon for some honest to goodness scrapbook time. I got 10 pages done AND all my crap organized! I found an entire stack of pictures that I don't know what to do with- it's portraits of the boys when they were little that I had framed, taken out of the frame and now I don't have room in the old scrapbooks to squeeze them in. I think I will just put them in this year's book- whatever, I'll know what i did.

I a little irritated right now cause I think I may have gotten burnt on ebay. I sold something with a buy it now (which I interpret as Buy it Now, and PAY FOR IT NOW) on Wednesday. She still hasn't paid! I emailed her Friday night and asked what was going on and she said she would pay today. If she doesn't pay by tomorrow, forget it. It was something I really didn't want to sell anyway, so I would be happy to keep it. But, I also could have used that extra $50 in the checking account. :furious:

Attention all Mommies- can you send me a PM? I have a thought about another one of out Mommies and I want to run it by you all~~~~~~~

Joats and Tamie- what wonderful Pumpkin Patch pictures! Love both of the boys and the sea of orange pumpkins behind them....our kids are all so cute!

lissawynn- you out there? You ok? Feeling better?

Z- I totally hear ya on the house thing. Totally. I have decided just to live in our small house for now. It's not worth sweating a mortgage that is out of our comfort zone. If I went back to work, yeah, we could afford a more expensive mortgage, but that's just not going to happen until Molly is in 1st grade.

Hey- how old will Connor be in March? Will he be 4 yet? The reason I ask, is that DH wants our boys to go on the Pirate Cruise that launches from the GF- Sam did it a few years ago and he had a good time. I thought if Connor was old enough, and Holly's two older kids wanted too, our kids could all go together. I think it's about $30. Just a thought.

Kim- so sorry Alex was a poop on the way out of GA. Don't you hate that? Sam pulled something like that our last night at WDW last fall- I wanted to just slug him. I sat him in a corner on Main Street instead, while my parents were waiting to pay for something in a shop. :sad2:

Diz- you HAD to mention Cheesecake Factory! Yummy, yummy! And no one in my family likes it, except my mom. I need to go soon, I *need* that salad I enjoy so much! :bitelip:

Fab- your stories always make me laugh! :rotfl2: Poor Madeleine for her ordeal- and poor you for having to stay up through it all!

GM & BNB- Thank you for letting me know the Backlot Tour is still mega-lame. Good to know we don't have to waste an hour++ doing that. BNB- couldn't you have the caramel ice cream? I thought it was just the chocolate that was the no-no right now....we went to the discount grocery store today (MADHOUSE) and I couldn't resist some Almond Joys in the bulk bins....I only got a few! :rolleyes1

Speaking of candy, Justhat, I am SO EXCITED you got to get some more See's! Seriously, See's should be the San Francisco treat, not lame-a$$ Rice a Roni! I can't wait to spoil my Christmas exchange person with some See's! When I read your post, I was like, "Oh man, I want to go get some NOW!" I really, really, REALLY HATE this limited chocolate crapiola. Stupid kidney stones.

Well, I should finish cleaning my scrappy area and start some laundry. Didn't I just do 4-5 loads? :scratchin

Robin - Yes! Connor will be 4 this December and he would LOVE the pirate cruise and would also love to have other kids to go with. Great idea. :thumbsup2

Off to watch Desperate Housewives! Nite all.....

joats - Jace is so cute! LOL about the tractor. Tyler did not want to get off of the one at the pumpkin patch!

alice - woo hoo on the scrapbooking! I got my stuff pretty organized the other day too. I realized I need to get another binder for my paper though. I hope you get your money from that lady on ebay.

kim - Aidan sounds so sweet! I love the stage of kissing everything and blowing kisses. It sounds like a lot of our kids are around the same stage. Sorry Alex was a stinker for you.

bnb - Sounds like a good mix of comfort food and a little fancier stuff!

fabumouse - LOL about poor Madeline. I hope everyone gets some sleep.

diz - Oh yum! The cheesecake factory is soooo good!

zalansky - Sorry the househunting thing didn't go well. It is crazy how much mortgages can be.

We are having a halloween party the weekend before halloween. I'm having so much fun looking on the familyfun website at gross looking food to serve!

Talk to you all later. Time to start another week!

Tamie

Hey! I have a split second so I hopped on here. Girls are staying up a little late watching tv and then I'll put them to bed, feed Carson, and hopefully catch some zzz myself.

Zalansky - keep thinking about you and that Lyme Disease. So does DH - he has asked me three times today about you - he's fascinated but very concerned. I think you have officially ended his false Lyme Disease claims forever as he is so worried about YOU now. I know he seems twisted but he can be pretty sweet when he wants to be. ;) And you are VERY smart to stay away from over-doing the mortgage thing - I'm living it right now and it is not very fun at all. Sure, the money is "there", but it's at the expense of alot of our fun. When we moved up here and had the sticker shock, we felt we HAD to over-spend to get into a nice suburb like we were used to. Hopefully we have a year or less of this and then we can return to a more reasonable cost of living. Never again will I do this.

Alice28 - good for you for catching up on your scrapbooking - much admiration from my corner. And agreement from me on the Backlot Tour - we did it last May and it just wasn't as fun as I remember from the mid 90's.

Joats - What precious pictures of Jace!!! Sounds like a wonderful day! Hope your Monday goes well despite it being, well, Monday. DH had those blues this evening as well...probably because of the gorgeous weekend we had here.

fabumouse - hoping for a good night's sleep for you and Madeleine! Carson had a rough night last night too with his cold, but he did settle down about 11 and sleep 3 hours, bottle, and 3 more. It was strange because he's usually so easy. Love your "farting" story...Carson is good at it too, but then so is his Daddy and Hannah - I think they could win contests. And the bad part is, 10-year-old Hannah is proud of it (well, at home, anyway!) :confused3

Well, oops, now the girls are into ANOTHER show. Bad Mommy. Guess I'll let them finish since they don't have school tomorrow. Big plans for that American Girl Birthday Party - I was presented a list to go shopping tomorrow morning  . We'll see. Oh and Hannah didn't like her Oreo Cheesecake from the party, so she brought it home. Isn't that a shame??? The three of us nibbled on it and it somehow disappeared! Good night all!

Cool- from what I understand, they do it on M, W, & Th (and Saturday, but I know you gals probably aren't going to come on the Saturday). I'm open for any of those days (26th, 28th, 29th). Then maybe we can hang out afterwards at MK for part of the afternoon afterwards! (and we can go do something with out babies while they are cruising).

Happy Monday all!

Well, I think the sickness bug has finally hit our house! Emma woke up this morning barely able to talk-Yeah, I know, what a shame! :rotfl: But poor thing is coughing and sneezing and all. And last night when we were at a church meeting, Matthew had an explosive diaper that apparently, from what I heard from the childcare people--went all the way up his back and into his hair! EEKK!! ANd this morning, his diaper was a little runny as well. They would get sick the week DH is going to be out of town

joats and tkyes--Your pictures are soooooo adorable!!!!! The kids are cute!

Alice--kudos to you getting the scrapbooking done. I also have to second, or third Starring Rolls at MGM--what yummy pastries :thumbsup2

z--I can't believe the house prices where you are--we would die if we had a mortgage of 2K--actually we'd probably be okay, but I would be working full-time again--No thanks! It was a stretch for us to buy this house, but for some reason we are making it pretty good (better than DH imagined) Are you starting to feel better?? What med. do they have you on???

dizagain--An american Girl party??Are you going to have it at the store in Chicago? I went there with my Daunt and her granddaughter for lunch--it was fun, even for the adults. Oreo cheesecake, yummo!!!!!

No big plans for the day. Guess it's a good thing since the kids don't feel well. I will probably work out at home, and clean house--Yippee  Have a great day everyone!
