OMG! I almost fell off my chair laughing. I take so much grief from DH for watching BH 90210 every day. Kona loves to dance to the themse song. Sometimes she will be dancing to it when DH walks in and he just rolls his eyes. He said a couple months ago that if her first word was "Dylan", I was in trouble.

What does your DH do in the TV industry? (you don't have to say if you don't want to.)



I'm going to try and get caught up with everyone. I didn't post much yesterday because the day just seemed to get worse and worse as it went on.

I love reading about your Fantasy Football issues. DH had his draft last week and he acted like it was the most important thing in the world. He went out in our Florida room and told the kids not to come out there so I was on Mommy duty for a while. WTH? Is football really that important?



I'm not sure what our weekend plans are. We are all sick to some degree. I know DH will probably go for a bike ride tomorrow and Monday he's going to a Miami football game.

I wanted to get a facial tomorrow but I don't think they can squeeze me in.

I had such terrible dreams last night. They had a Dr. on CNN last night that is having a lot of success with a particular cancer treatment so I must have gone to bed thinking about that. I had a dream that I was trying to call my brother and tell him about it so he could get in on the clinical trial and then I realized that he's gone. It was the most awful dream I have had in a while.

Anywho, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend.

FF - I'm so glad I'm not the only one who watches that crap! Do you watch on SoapNet? These 2 a day are killing me. I'm going to quit once regular tv starts up for the fall since they're in the later seasons which I don't like as much. DH works at ESPN. I can't tell you what he does since I'm not sure I know exactly but I do know he works with the promos - scheduling, editing, etc.

hillbeans - I hope you don't get rained out at the outlets.

I think they may finally be moving my desk today. I'm actually going in a small office with our IT department, which consists of just 2 guys. At least it's not in the middle of the hallway!

Val: DH does fantasy baseball - the first year was so bad I made him give me a dime every time he talked about it because it was so annoying and it was all he talked about!!! LOL Now, years later he's much more casual about it (guess my dime intervention worked ). I'm glad my season is coming to an end - sorry your's is just beginning.

I am so excited to have a 4 day weekend! Ya-who!
Today I am taking Jace out for lunch with a friend of mine and her 3 year old daughter and if there is time we will go to Carters. I want to pick up a few things for Jace. DH is still on bedrest and going to PT with no end in sight - It's killing me. Jace is totally attached to me at the hip. He's my little shadow lately. Not much else going on around here - just errands and cleaning this weekend. On monday my parents (who left for london this am) are going to wave to me from a webcam in Trafalgar Square. My mom found some website that does it and let's you take picture of it to download. It will be neat to see them in London.

I need to go get in the shower while Jace is still napping. But I plan to be DISing over this 4 day weekend so I will report back soon!

FF and SL - I didn't even know they still aired 90210. In the summer I watch NBC soaps and I flick them off if DH comes home from work for lunch because it is so embarassing to get caught watching them. The goofy reruns I watch are Gilmore Girls and 7th Heaven (I'm so sad that the show ended ).

zalansky - Have a great time in WDW!!

You are all making me nervous with talk of Halloween costumes. I can't get Emmy and Alex to decide what they want to be. I bought Aidan a Jack Jack costume but haven't tried it on him yet. The kids tell me it's too early to decide . They are no fun at all.

Well, I think I'm going to hit the mall today since I just can't seem to stop spending money recently . I want to get more jeans for Emmy while my grandmother his here to hem them for me. I can't even sew a button on a shirt (sewing class in 8th grade was the only "D" I ever got in my life. Just because my surfboard looked like a banana ). Then, I guess we'll wait for the rains to come. I just love my town. I'm out of milk for the baby and DH went all over town this morning and couldn't find milk. They are acting like they do before a snowstorm. He's stuck with skim milk I guess.

Hey all. I'm trying to quell the fire in my midsection. I swear, this indigestion is worse than pushing out the baby. I already took one Zantac and am very tempted to take another. I feel as if I can't breathe.
We had a good time at the fair. We didn't actually get into the fairgrounds until almost 7, so we ate some junk (I almost ate a whole funnel cake), and came home and crashed. I have a pic of DH and Jimmy as we were getting ready for the LONG walk to the fairgrounds...

I cannot believe how big my little guy is getting! DH was hurting after Jimmy bopped along to the oldies band that was playing. The kid loves rock n roll.
My bloodwork went well. The first vein she tried didn't work, so she got another one. This lady is good, though, and she used the smallest needles possible. No more blood stuff until my last glucose test.
I somehow managed to hit a bird yesterday and it was lodged in my grill. DH removed it and left it in the parking lot of the fair. All you could see was a foot and feathers. Ick!

Alice - I'll have to check out the Dora stuff. I'm sure she would love that play set. The boys are adorable in their costumes!

Hillbeans - I used to frequent the Crossings a lot, but the inner-city NJ/NY element has scared me off. It is supposed to rain a lot in PA this weekend.

floridafam - I, too, watch 90210 a lot. I like the h.s. years much better than the college/adult stuff. I cannot watch Kelly go through rehab AGAIN.

SL - Jimmy doesn't really dance to much except the Boohbas and the local cable channel that plays music while it shows announcements.

bellacam - Have a great weekend.

fabumouse - I have a scanner/printer that came with my laptop. It actually does a pretty good job for being free. I just have to place the pic on the tray and hit scan. Then I have to save it. It's pretty easy.

justthat - Have a fun trip to SC!

Val - I'm so happy my DH has no interest in fantasy sports. He barely watches the Yankees or Steelers anymore. He's just not that into it. I'm almost 17 weeks, so I HOPE to be feeling better any day now.

Jill - I hope the weekend plans aren't foiled by rain. I have Crocs and love them. My favorites are the Croc flip-flops that I got in the spring. They are great and can go in the dishwasher when they're dirty.

DisKim - Unfortunately, Jimmy watched a lot of kids' tv shows this summer. I was just too sick to entertain him. I do like that most of them are educational and it's not cartoons with boulders and anvils dropping from the sky.

I have to get back to school work. I took me almost 2 class periods to finish this post in between talking with my students. Have a great day all!

I'm so sorry. I hope you can take something that will help. I know my Dr. gave me something by prescription after the OTC stuff stopped working. Maybe you can get something different from your Dr.




I'm off to take a look at hotel prices. I kinda have the idea in my head to take the kids down to Miami for a couple of days. Dh is already headed down on Monday for the football game so maybe we could turn this into a little vacation or something.

I am so glad to here that there are other Dis babies addicted to the **** tube! Emma is such a tv hog--she gets up in the morning and "requests" to watch Noggin--guess it could be worse, right? Anytime I try to change the channel to something other than that, she yells at me that she does not want to watch the news! Who knew that AMC was now deemed worthy of news status! Ha!

SL--so cool that your DH works for ESPN--my DH would love that!

ff--hope you get to take your mini-vacation to Miami! Sounds like fun!

Diskim--LOL about getting a D in sewing--I'm so glad that there is another mom out there that can't even sew buttons on shirts. I take my mom shirts or pants of DH's that need buttons put back on and she just looks at me like, "how do you not know how to replace buttons!" Okay, so I didn't get that gene--big deal!

Sorry to hear Ernesto is heading north. It is ruining some weekend plans for our friends up in NY and Penn. Hope no one gets a weekend full of rain!

I had a good night out last night, but never ate dinner which I am bummed about. I met my friends in the bar area and they had a table so we ended up sitting there and chatting. Before we know it Lou Pinella (who is or was the manager I think for the Yankees) and two of his friends were over at our table and we ended up talking to them all night. Long story short, they bought all our drinks and ordered a bunch of appetizers, on them!
DH was not too thrilled with this, but he is ridiculous. These guys were harmless men in their 60's and we all talked about our families and kids - harmless and hey - they picked up the tab! So we were thrilled of course. But I am feeling it today because I had drinks on an empty tummy and don't normally do that. I missed Big Brother and am dying to see it but waiting for DH to get home so we can watch together!!!

We don't leave till Sunday so I will see you lovely ladies around before then. Have a great day everybody!

We bought Shelby a ball pit yesterday and she loves it! She wades through the balls and looks so surprised when she does it! Very Cute!
