Morning!

lissawynn - I'm so sorry your still sick! I would feel the same way as you about your neighbor. On one had feel a little bad and on the other get an evil little laugh out of it.

ff - Woo hoo on the auction, that's great! I hope the storm passes you by!

nucpharm - Adorable new pictures. LOL about mom in the leotard! I bet you guys will have a great time!

sl - Sorry to hear about your mom. I would be totally frustrated. I can't believe she left you out of the activities! Glad you got your computer back online.

jill - My DH was able to take some classes at satellite buildings too and it was such a huge help. I'm sorry you now have to make the drive and pay for parking. Kudos to you for going to school! I'm sure it will be a tough, long road ahead, but what an accomplishment when you're done!!

zalansky - I'm so sorry poor Connor is sick! I really hope it decides to miss the rest of your family!!

ginamarie - Sorry you were sick! Sounds like you got quite a bit of packing done.

alice - Oh what a cute idea with your kids!! I love it!! Old Navy still doesn't have their costumes in the store. It doesn't seem that early

I hope everyone's kiddies feel better soon!

I'm watching the Today show and they have fall fashions on. I gotta say I don't love them. Sweater dresses, leggings...not sure I'm ready for that.

Tomorrow is another day at the state fair, this time with Tyler! Should be a fun day. Yes, the state fair is HUGE. I think it's second in size only to Texas.

Someone asked about growth charts. I think I've done about 8 of them!

Have a good day everyone!

Tamie

It's raining cats and dogs here.

Speaking of dogs....If any of the Mommies here ever see a stuffed Target dog-I think his name is Bullseye, will you let me know? I haven't looked at our Target yet.

Kona's got a little crush on the dog and I thought it would be cute to put one in her Christmas stocking.

lissawynn,

I'm sorry you've been sick every morning. I really hope it goes away soon. :grouphug:

Strawberry Lemonade,

I'm sorry your Mom did that. :grouphug:

I'm going to get in the shower in case we lose power. I don't think we will but you never know. I think the worse we can expect is a lot of rain and some wicked wind.

Check back later.

Good morning! :sunny:

Well, it is overcast here in Tampa but we have not had any rain yet. But the news here says the storm is moving through central Florida, which is Disney area...but they will just get rain and some wind but not hurricane forces. So we're all set here!

FF - hope you don't lose power.

nucpharm - I can't believe how big Matthew is! Great new pics! :goodvibes

tkyes - have fun at the State Fair! That sounds like fun.

lissa - sorry to hear you were sick again this AM. And that karma with the neighbor

SL - sorry you were left out by the family. That s*cks!

Jill - I admire you so much for taking all those classes. I want to go to school too, but I know I'd be feeling old too! I give you credit!

Thanks to everyone for continued well wishes for Connor. He was up last night coughing alot so I took him in to the doctor this morning just to be sure it was not an ear and throat infection because of our trip this weekend. He just has a post nasal drip and the doctor gave him Zirthomax just in case, because we are going to WDW. Our doctor hates WDW - he calls it Germ World. Maybe that is true, but it is fun and what does he expect us to never go to theme parks?? LOL! Not this family!

Off I go to check the Bog Brother Blogs! I am obsessed with the show again as I am every summer. Sad huh??? Have a great day ladies!

Hi Mommies!

SL- I am so sorry your mom left you guys out- what is up with that? I would be hurt too. :guilty: I hope the situation with your desk is resolved this week!

Z- keep sending well wishes that Connor get well fast! LOL about the doctor saying theme parks were a germ World....kind of true, but so what? My kids didn't get sick traveling cross country to WDW the two times they've done it. But we all know what happened after DL this last time. Oh well, builds up their immune system. :teeth:

FF- WOW on the stroller! That's aweseome! Whatcha gonna do with the money? I was talking with neighbor last night about her baby girl, and she does wedding photography on the side; she has a 'gig' this weekend and wants to take her profits to go to PBK and buy baby a bedding set! You go girl! I'm glad it's just really rainy your way and not a hurricane!

nucpharm- cute pics of the kids!! Why in the world don't you want to be in a leotard too? :teeth:

I hope GLT is having a nice time with her friends in Ohio!

lissawynn- that is kinda funny about your neighbor. You reap what you sow sometimes, you know? I had to laugh when you said you got up 10 minutes early to fit your MS in your schedule. Awwww....you poor thing, and yet I only laughed cause I could relate with my 2nd pregnancy too. How many weeks are you now? I was 19 or 20 by the time I FINALLY started feeling better with my 2nd...right after the ultrasound I think. Maybe it was the shopping that cured me.

Oh, Miss Molly is up- gotta go!

Jill- I got a good laugh about your “back to school” story. I actually just signed up to take a class at my old college. It’s going to be incredibly weird to be back on campus with all the young people. Plus, the move puts be about twice as far from the school as I live now, but I’ll have to stop here to drop off Olivia anyway. Luckily, the class is only once a week for a few weeks.

SL- I’d be hurt about being left out too.

FloridaFam- Sounds like ebay is treating you well! Hopefully I’ll have some luck with it after we move in. I have already identified a bunch of stuff I’d like to put on there.

Lissawynn- Sorry you’re still not feeling well. I had MS pretty much the whole way through with Olivia. So I know what it’s like. Hopefully it will wear off soon.

Today is a work day for the most part and maybe some packing later. I’m glad we got so much done yesterday. DFriend has been living with us for the last 6 months or so and is moving out at the same time we are. Luckily, he found an apartment that will be ready for occupancy next week, and it’s only about 10-15 minutes from our new house. We already agreed we could meet in the middle to do shopping sometimes, that way I don’t have to worry about being alone in the parking lot with Olivia in the dark. I know I’m a little paranoid, but I hear all these stories about women getting carjacked with their babies in the car and that terrifies me.

OK, I have about 800 pages I need to read, so I’d better get started on the next project!

The MyPoints backpack is in the insurance center.

FF- I have a Target dog somewhere around the house. I'll have to look for it later so I don't wake Jenna up.

Another day down and only 176 more to go! I have 2 students who have shown their colors today. One is new to the district and has all kinds of anger, defiance, outburst issues. He also used inappropriate language today in class. The other comes from a line of PITA kids. He sat with his pretest and answered 6 questions in 32 minutes. I told him I hope he has an attitude adjustment before tomorrow's class. I guess I'm going to send an e-mail to the principal regarding his lack of progress on the test. The other student got a write up for cursing.

floridafam - My sister dressed as the Target dog a few Halloweens ago. We had an old Spuds McKenzie mask and she wore that, her jammies, and a red robe. At that time Target wasn't really big in our area, so a lot of the kids didn't get who she was supposed to be. I hope you get a dog.

Ginamarie - Good luck getting your work done today.

Alice - I'm glad you're enjoying your new bed. DH and I are getting a king when the addition is done. With my sciatic nerve and his back issues, we need more room to spread out in bed.

zalansky - Glad the weather is cooperating for your WDW trip.

Tamie - I agree about the fall fashions. Everything looks like the stuff I wore in the 80s as an elementary student. I cannot imagine wearing leggings and some of those bias cut shirts. Yikes!

I have to figure out what we're having for dinner tonight. I was going to make fish, and I still might do that. I don't want to reheat fish in the faculty room for lunch tomorrow. I may stop and pick up some lunch meat or something for the next two days.

I don't remember who asked about fairs, but we have a pretty big one coming up in Bloomsburg, PA, in a few weeks. It's about 45 minutes away, but we go and do the walk and eat thing. Last year we went on a Tuesday night and it was really nice. DH is going to have a change in his schedule soon, so I don't know when we'll get there this year. I am determined to go and eat a shaved pit beef sandwith with horseradish and some fried veggies.

ETA - I think I've found a Halloween costume that will accommodate my ever-expanding stomach. I'll have to post a pic later. It's something I found for a kid, but I think I can manage it for me. The best part is I'll be comfortable.

ff - I know you are in the middle of dealing with a storm and your power might go out, but I had to share this with you. I was poking around the photoaffections website that I posted and I thought of you. Under baby announcements, under the cardstock invites there is an announcement called Aloha, it was on page 4 for me. Anyway, I know it's a baby announcement, but I don't see why you couldn't change the words and use it as a birthday invite for a future bday party of Kona's.

Our builder is buying a growth chart from me and they are going to put it in their newest model, just in time for the parade of homes! I need to get some business cards printed up to go set in the room next to the chart.

Gotta run!

Tamie

tkyes,

:rotfl2: That was Kona's birth announcement. :teeth: I ordered hers from www.inababycarriage.com

She had the orange and green-for some reason the pink and green just didn't look right.

I was actually going to have you use the birth announcement as inspiration for her growth chart if I could order one from you.

All of the announcement on that website look like something you would like-judging by the anniversary invites you did.

Are you pretty swamped right now with growth chart orders??

:wave2:

There is a .05 click at Sunshine!

I'll be back later!

Yesterday was a yuck day - one of those times the baby wouldn't sleep for more than 15 minutes at at time, just long enough for me to pee and eat a granola bar. She was probably noticing, as I was, the absence of people in the house. It was depressing, really. And I had to make my own dinner, now that MIL went home. What is the world coming to??? :rolleyes1

Tkyes - I will check out babystyle. I love their stuff. My credit cards squeal in over-used agony everytime I start shopping there . ..

Joats - I got my new nursing bra in the mail today!

Kim - sorry about DH not getting his sick days! Even though my DH's company is very good about giving time off, the clients are always, always in a crisis and it gets old extremely quickly. I laughed about your DD and her dramatic ways - just like my DD. I've caught her practicing crying in the mirror in her bedroom! My DD also really really wants a dog. She spends a lot of time negotiating for one. "what if my guinea pigs die?".

Robin - I had to laugh about the "going to a whole other state!" as I felt that way when I lived in Oregon, but the states around here are teeny in comparison and lots of people I know live in NJ, NY or CT and it's not uncommon for someone to be from PA, to easily show up to the same NYC function. And I TOTALLY know what you mean about the itty bitty baby stage. I don't want a third child, for a zillion reasons, but I would like the option of storing a few days here and there so that I could enjoy this newborn time more (some of these days seem so very long) and so I don't have to close that door forever. (Your children are beautiful, BTW).

I e-mailed your joke to my DH. He's a perfectionist, not a control freak, but he can identify enough . ..

Ginamarie - I was thinking the car for nursing - my car is small, but I'm thinking that I could do it with the seat pushed back a bit. I'm not trying to be crazy about this, but I know if I don't plan, I'll be at a loss when Madeleine starts throwing a fit during DD5's gymnastic class (which good lord, is tomorrow afternoon). I think the real issue right now is she cannot hold her own head up - so I need a few more hands to keep her up, hold the blanket, and help her eat. :teeth:

And I hear you about the little kids getting fixated on stuff. DD5 went to WDW when she was 3.5 and really enjoyed it - BUT - a few things really stuck in her mind like my foolish decision to take her into "a bug's life", which scared the crap out of her. I used ear plugs with her when she was 4.5 which helped, although did not resolve the "loud noise" issue. I had to hold her ears during the bats when we went on Big Thunder (every single time, of the 15 times or so we went on it!).

Jill - my MIL won't be coming back until we buy a new house (in about 2 years) with more rooms. :guilty: We're in the process of dismantling the guest room in order to put a crib in it. If the IL's were younger, they could sleep on an aerobed in the basement, but as they get older, they have various aches and pains that don't do well on bad mattresses. I'm trying to get the IL's to meet us somewhere in the interim - but FIL is resistant.

Zalansky - I just had to laugh at your BIL. Especially since I've been dealing recently with so many irritating family traits.

J&D - FIL was being such a pain before he left - I was totally torn between my sadness at MIL leaving and my relief at FIL leaving. :teeth:

Nucpharm - my DD loves gymnastics - it's a great social get together with so much exercise.

:artist: :moped:

I......am..........going...............CRAZY!

it's one of 'those' days where I feel like I'm bored out of my mind. Molly won't take a nap...well, she went down for one, was quiet for 40 minutes, then brothers started yelling outside on the porch (her room is right above) and wouldn't you know it, 5 minutes later she is screaming. I was so Pi$$ed. And now she is just Ms. Punchy and climbing all over me. In 30 of those 40 minutes I worked out, but have had chips for lunch. Nice. Why even work out!

The other reason I am buggy is we haven't gone anywhere today, and we usually try and get out of the house, even just for an hour. I waited around this AM for my parents, as they were making a dump run and offered to take my old mattress. But they got here way later than I thought. By the time we left, it was time to make the kids lunch, etc.

I got some chores done and pot roast is going in the crock-pot, but I'm just irritable and bored! And then I feel like a dork for being on the net so much.

Jill- I hope class goes well for you- that stinks about the commute. I too would feel like an old fogie if I went back to school. But you aren't one! We're young and cool, at least in our minds, right? :teeth:

OK, DH just called and I literally hung up on him. I said, "I'm bored out of my skull" and he says, "Clean the house!" I didn't need that, esp since the house is clean anyway. Sometimes he thinks he's funny, and he's not. :sad2:

Val- how are you doing? Is the job going any better? I hope so. :grouphug:

Fabumouse- I hear you on those days where you get nothing done...it's hard with a newborn, but just cut yourself some slack.

Well, I suppose I should call DH back. Sigh.

Hi Everyone! :sunny:

Thanks for all the well wishes for school. I really appreciate it especially since I am having major second thoughts on the number of courses I decided to take this semester. When I look at my semester workload, I get overwhelmed but I decided that I must just take everything one day at a time and do the best I can. The good part of all of this is that I have met some very nice people in my classes so far! :goodvibes

Zalansky – How is Connor doing? I hope that he is feeling better. :wizard: If I don’t get back online for a bit, have a wonderful time at Disney!!! I hope your BIL is good for you too!

Val – :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: How are you doing? I’m so sorry to hear about what is going on with your job. Like Robin mentioned earlier, I wish that we all lived closer so we can go over and hang out with you. A new job is stressful enough, but throw in time constraints and that just adds more pressure. Give it a little more time to see if you get in a routine with it. About the time away from the kids, well that is a hard one. If in your heart you feel that this isn’t the best thing then maybe you should leave the job. Would your boss be open to you cutting back your hours? Whatever you decide, don’t feel bad about it. I think that every one of us can remember a time when we were excited about something and it didn’t turn out to be what was best in the long run. Know that we are all thinking about you and are here for you.

Hillbeans – Does Kevin start school tomorrow? If he does, I hope that he has a fantastic day! Let us know how it goes! :wizard:

Lissawynn – I’m so sorry to hear that you are still getting sick! :grouphug: How far along are you now? I’m saying some prayers that this subsides for you soon. Good luck with school and I hope that those two students shape up for you.

Nucpharm – Welcome back! The pictures of Matthew and Emma are great! Matthew is growing up so quickly! How was gymnastics class?

Floridafam – Congrats on the auction! That is wonderful! :thumbsup2

Tamie – Have fun at the state fair tomorrow with Tyler! Eat some yummy food for me! :goodvibes

SL – I’m sorry to hear that your mom left you out. It is tough being left out and I feel for you. I hope she includes you in the next event. :grouphug:

Ginamarie – Sorry to hear that you got sick! Good luck with your class too! It sounds like a lot of moms here are taking courses.

J&D – How are you doing? I was thinking of you when I was looking at my math Osborne books! How is that going? Have fun in New Orleans this weekend! :sunny:

Bellacam – Have fun this weekend at the island! :sunny:

Gems – Sorry to hear that your commute is now an hour. Ouch! :guilty:

DisKim –Any more news on the dog front? Good luck if you do decided to get a dog! :wizard: What kind of dog does Emmy like?

Robin – I’m glad to hear that you love your bed. :thumbsup2 I’m really disliking my bed at the moment b/c I wake up with sore hips and shoulders and not feeling refreshed at all. How is Sam feeling? Better I hope. Also, I love your idea of dressing the kids up in the Peter Pan theme. I can’t wait to see those pictures.

Justhat – I’m sorry, but your story of Madison and all of her stuffed animal friends cracked me up. :teeth: Poor Zoe getting left behind. ;) Madison is such a cutie especially with her friend, Nick. How is everything else going for you?

Fabumouse – I’m sorry that you are missing your MIL. :guilty: Two years is a long time. Hopefully, you all can squeeze in a visit in between.

Well, I better get back to work. :surfweb: It was fun reading how everyone was doing! Hi to all the moms!! :wave2:

OK, better now. I talked it out with DH and then, best of all the FedEx man came! Lookee what he brought!

sept06003.jpg

The 2/3 BARELY fits! Geez, but I think it will be fine for Halloween. :tink: :tink: :tinker: :tinker:

Ok, I should be reading.....but Robin, Molly is so darn CUTE!!! I love it!!

Thanks guys! I just am SO TEMPTED to go buy the boy's costumes this weekend, even with only the 15% coupon. I know they will resell for at least 50-60% of their value next year, so it's tempting....oh so tempting. I just remember one year buying Sam a costume there, and then several weeks later realizing it was the wrong size...I had to call around to 3 different stores to find the size. I know these costumes can sell out by the end of Sept if it's the 'hot' one of the yer.

Fabumouse- We took my sister into Bugs Life when she was 6 and she was terrified. She’s 8 now, and looking forward to Space Mountain and Expedition Everest, but clearly told me she won’t go on the Bug’s Life again.

Alice- Molly looks SOOO adorable as tinkerbell!

I should be attempting to finish this motion, but if I had to read another word about this guy falling off of a scaffold my head was going to explode. I hope DH gets home quick so he can upload the Christening pictures. The day has gone by much too quickly, and I still have so much to get done.

Tomorrow morning I have to go to court, and tomorrow afternoon is my final walk-through for the new house. It’s going to be very strange seeing the house empty and ready to load all my boxes into! Of course then I have to wait until the next afternoon to finish the closing and move. I also talked to the seller’s attorney’s office and confirmed the final amount we owe them. I’ve been feeling better today, but when I heard the whole amount, I almost got sick again. I can’t believe what this is costing us.

OK, more reading for me. :surfweb:

Robin - Oh my goodness! Molly looks sooooo darn adorable!! Her hair looks like it's getting long. She looks like a big girl already!

Jill - Emily doesn't really care what kind of dog she gets. We are looking into an Italian greahound. SIL has one and it is the best dog ever. They are known to be extremely affectionate and they like to just lay around and cuddle. That's my type of dog. I can't stand hyper dogs.

Speaking of dogs, do any of you know of any good breeds that are especially calm and good with kids. As I said to Jill, we are leaning toward and Italian greyhound but I also like golden retrievers.

I had my girlfriends and all their kids over today - 9 kids including mine. They had fun but it is very hectic now. My friend's 2-year-old was attacking our 3 babies. Poor Aidan was trying to relax on his beanbag chair and watch Elmo and she just kept stalking him. When she thought no one was looking, she would slap him across the face. They were in my family room which can't be seen when we are in the kitchen. I knew she had to be hurting him because when I walked out, he would cry and look at her in terror. Finally, I acted like I was leaving but I hid and watched what was happening. Sure enough, when she thought they were alone, she hit him. My friend doesn't pay any attention to her behavior and it's frustrating. I had to keep Aidan in my line of sight constantly because I was afraid she would hurt him. He finally just started freaking out and screaming until they all left. When they left, he was fine. I guess he's not very social yet. He just likes to hang on his beanbag and be left alone.
