I know! I'm so bad.

Z- yes, it's 30% off EVERYTHING the first few hours. Then add the 20% off on top of that, and well..........

Seriously though, Bob's cousin is having a baby boy in early March. I want to get a cute, yet CHEAP, outfit to send to her- haven't seen her in years and years, but want to be polite.

And then, well, Molly *needs* the new These Boots are Made For Walking shirt....and the leggings....and the Mix n Match barrettes....and a denim skirt for $6....and Joshua could use another of PJs....and some socks...I have $94 in my cart, and with the discounts it's only $50-something. And a Gymbuck!

Patiently waiting for Justine to PM me back..... :rotfl: I was SO NOT going to do Gymbo on Friday, but I remembered the baby thing today, and then when Justine posted, I thought it must be fate. I'll tell myself whatever to convince myself it's OK! Right? :rotfl2: :lmao:

You know, I am a dork regarding Gymboree.

I was thinking the total I would get off the price would be 50% but it's not. It's 30% off and then 20% off of that price. I am having a brain fart moment.

Am I thinking correctly here?

OK!!! I need the code too Justthat if you see this! I will make the trip too for 30% then another 20%. I wonder if I got an email for that??? :confused3
Justine please PM me one if you've got one left! ;)

I wish we could all go together, wouldn't that be fun? In our light up shoes? (sorry, I just remembered them and couldn't resist!)

You Gymbo moms crack me up. I just took a look at the website, just to see if anything looked good. I'm telling you, I need a baby girl in my life. Everyone I know has boys.

icebrat - I really don't have much to add after all the wonderful advice you've already gotten. Good luck!

zalansky - Mmmmmmm...an edible basket sounds delicious. Enjoy it!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. We'll probably be heading to my IL's around 1pm or so. I'm hoping Lucas will nap before then and we'll just watch the parade all morning.

I wanna go on a DIS Moms raid to Gymbo! In my light up shoes! :lmao: Wouldn't that be a sight? Esp me at the crack o' dawn. Eek! I think I will be ordering online at 9PM my time. :teeth: I did that last year and it was oh so satisfying.

ETA- OK, I fiddled with my online cart. I got it to be $50.09 if Justine is able to give me a code. Could I be any more exact? :rotfl: DH ordered $150 of clothes online today from Overstock- so I get to order $50 from Gymbo. I might set aside the cowgirl outfit for Molly for her bday, but I might not be able to resist seeing her in that tshirt before then. :cloud9:

I just wanted to hop on and wish all of my mom friends a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!!

Also, good luck to all you Black Friday shoppers. I'm trying to plan my strategy with my mom and I just don't know. I need to decide on Alex's big gift and that will help me figure out where to go. I'm such a dork. I just go for the thrill of finding a bargain. There are so many amazing deals on computers and televisions but there is no way I would go wait on line in the cold for things that I don't really need. I would love a bigger tv but it would fit in my tv armoire. Oh well. I have such problems!

Happy Thankgiving all!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! We're heading up to my parents around lunchtime. So for now, it's a T-day run for me, then Macy's parade and cooking! I got most of the sweet potatoes done yesterday, but the dessert and stuffing had to wait until today.

I was really hoping my buddy would get her package yesterday--alas, I guess it will arrive on Friday.

I just wanted to mention how thankful I am for each one of you. What a wonderful group of women to be a part of--knowing that someone will always be there for you, even across all the miles! It's been about a year since I've joined this thread, and I look forward everyday finding out what's going on with everyone! Have a great day all!

Good luck to all those shopping tomorrow. I wanted to go out b/c I've never been Black Friday shopping before--but, sigh, DH has to work tomorrow. That's the disadvantage of having family in town--they know we're around, so DH will probably be the only one there!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a great Turkey Day. I'm thankful for having met all you wonderful women and consider you all my friends. :grouphug:

Happy Thanksgiving! We were all up way too early this morning. I have managed to put away all the laundry that was sitting around the house and am in the process of doing laundry so I have something decent to wear today. I also forgot to get out the butter and cream cheese I need to make the cake, so that's put off until they're soft.

It's raining here and I really wanted DH to clean up the front yard so we can decorate on Saturday. I guess it can wait until tomorrow.

We're going to IL's at 1:00 and them my mom's before 3:00. My mom, sister, and I need to formulate our plan for shopping tomorrow. I agree w/Kim about standing in the cold for a tv, although Wal-Mart has a dvr/vcr for $100. I would love one of those for our bedroom. They also have a 20" flat screen tv for $69. Since most of my shopping is done, I'm going for the thrill of the day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Enjoy your turkey and pumpkin pie!

Happy Thanksgiving Moms :sunny: ! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

We are off to my mom's (please say a little prayer that she behaves  ) and then we are headed to MIL's later in the day.

I doubt we will be going anywhere tomorrow but I think I may have to try and hit some of the online sales.

Talk to you all later  .

Happy Thanksgiving, to all you American mommies!

Congrats on your baby girl Bellcam, she's gorgeous! Hi to all the mommies here!

I'm going over to Buffalo today for 2 nights to do some shopping with a friend. I can't wait! It will be a nice break from all that I have going on in my life.

Here's a shot of Dean and Brett from last night!

Happy Thanksgiving ladies!

Add me to the list of thankful for being part of this wonderful thread! I don't know how I would have gotten through some of my days here without this thread and you all to come to.

Robin, I have my cart at Gymbo almost ready to go, but I need a 20% code if I am going to buy. I hope Justine has some left! :goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving ladies! :goodvibes

Just as everyone else has mentioned, I am so grateful to have gotten to know you all over this past year. You all are a wonderful bunch of woman and I am so blessed to know you. :cloud9: I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Cabmom - Your pictures are adorable. I hope all is well with you.

GLT - I caught your post about your dd getting upset. That is totally normal and to be expected. My sisters kids had a rough time of it and they all went to counseling for awhile. It was rough for awhile, but the kids are all amazing kids today and the children are so much happier! It will be hard for you I am sure, but know that you are doing what is best for you and your kids in the long run. :grouphug:

Floridafam - That is so sweet of you to think of Zalansky! :goodvibes

Zalansky - I'm so sorry to hear that your father's condition has worsened. I've been praying for you and for your father that he is comfortable.

Icebrat - I think what you are doing is admirable. :goodvibes I'll try to answer some of your questions.
1. A lovey is a toy or blanket like Madison's Nick. My son has a little frog that he loves.
2. & 3. Car seats and strollers - I honestly can't remember what kind of carseat we have. We have a Graco stroller and it works fine.
4. You sound like you've got the essentials covered. :thumbsup2 I'm sure that this little girl is very blessed to have two people who will love her to pieces and that is what is most important.
5. Try some 2T clothes first. If those are too big, then see how the 18-24 months fit.
6. Yes, it is possible to have a picky eater eat a well balanced meal. Most toddlers are picky but they tend to come around.
7. Yes, it is possible to get her on a schedule too. It will be tough at first, but she will be happier in the long run to be able to be on a schedule.
8. DVDs- Disney DVDs! I remember when my dd was two she loved all of the classic Disney movies.
9. Toys - Hmmmm.....There are so many great toy selections out there nowadays. I remember my daughters liked dolls, kitchen stuff, wooden puzzles, books, trains, etc.

Good luck to you and know that you are doing a wonderful thing for this little girl. Don't feel guilty about anything either. As long as you are giving her love then she will flourish and prosper.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Hmm, well I was just typing and my message vanished. Whatever. Anyway, to those of you who PMed me for a Gymbo code, I just sent them out. Apparently my mom got some too so I had more than I thought so I had enough for everyone. She was with me for the Santa thing so you'd think I'd have noticed, but I was too excited about getting my own I guess. Not that I should buy anything right now.... But since she got some I still have 2 left if there's anyone else who needs one. Oh, and sorry I didn't get back to people last night-my husband turned off the computer shortly after I posted and I didn't feel like turning it back on. He was finished with it so therefore we all were I guess. :confused3

Malaysia, I read your post and tried to send you a PM but it says your box is full so clean it out!!! It's a long reply so I figured a PM was easier than posting it here.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Madison is running around screeching so I have to do something. What, I don't know, but something....

Just a quick note to say Happy Thanksgiving.

I am greatly thankful for my wonderful children and for my DIS mom friends who are so wonderful and kind, even as I go through this nightmare of a time. Love you gals!

Icebrat - I think what you are doing is wonderful, and the fact you care so much only means you will do a fabulous job! Don't worry about the size of your place. We have a 3-bedroom and have three kids!! Everyone adapts to their situation and it's the love that's there which really matters.

Have fun Gymbo shopping all!

Technical question -- anyone know how my dad can get a car for me in his name (we're talking clunker, but beggers can't be choosers!), yet me still get the tags and insurance for it? We haven't come up with a solution yet.

Happy Thanksgiving -- gobble gobble

Thank you Justine, very much! I'm excited to be able to order a little somethin-somethin from Gymboree tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here!

You have made the last year (or two!) a lot of fun for me! I appreciate all of you and cherish our friendships we have made here.

Uh-oh- looked thru the Black Friday ads. I was not going to go out, but Toys R Us has Game Boy games that would be perfect stocking stuffers for $7.49. And Target has this cool Star Wars transformer toy for only $15. We looked at it yesterday and it was $35! That's an amazing discount. And neither store offers free shipping on the web. I think I will get up at 5:30, be out the door at 5:45, got to TRU first, then Target and be home by 7. I think my Aunt was going to send them Target gift cards for Christmas- I may just buy these things for them (I wasn't going to buy any more) and then pocket 1-2 of the gift cards for household stuff.

Val- good luck with your mom- hope she is good today!

Tamie- I meant to say that the pictures of you and Tyler at WDW are terrific! He's such a big boy, and so cute, and you look great too!

Malaysia- I would buy some 2T clothes and see how that fits her; if not, go down to the 18-24 m size. I find that Target/Walmart clothes run a bit small, Carters is pretty true to size, and sometimes Old Navy, Gymboree, and Gap run a bit big if that helps any. Yes, a lovey is a nice soft blankie or a plush toy. DVDs- we're big on Disney movies and the Wiggles here. Dora is also a good one, Higgly Town Heroes, Little Einsteins, Backyardigans...there's a lot of good kid's TV shoes on in the AM on Nickelodean and the Disney Channel. Car seat recommendations- the Britax is the cadillac of carseats- you can't go wrong with that choice. I just ordered a MacLaren stroller for $90 off of Target's website that's supposed to be a good one. Don't worry about your townhouse not being big enough- surely it is better than what she has now! And hey, we only have a 3 bedroom house and we have 3 kids, LOL! It all works out just fine. Yes, it will be possible to get her on a schedule- consistency is KEY and children thrive on consistency. I think as long as you and your DP are on the same page with a schedule, rules, discipline, she will be OK. Toys- I would just start off with a few things, and then maybe make some sort of reward system for her- by listening, obeying, brushing her teeth, eating fruit with dinner, etc., give her stars. When she earns X amount of stars, take her to the store so she can pick out something on her own and build her own toy collection. Oh and food- the key is repeatly offering something. They say it takes something like offering a new food 10 times before a child will try it. Just put it on her plate and see what happens- and you eat it too and proclaim how delicious it is! I also encourage my children to just take a bite (my20 month old doesn't get this, but a 2+ year old would) and if they hate it, they don't have to finish it. But they have to at least TRY it.

Anyway, hope everyone has some great food, good time with family and friends, and gets a nap today! I need to get ready and clean up a bit before we head out to my parent's for the day. :wave2:

Robin, ya know, I should not have gone to see that Santa. I specifically did cause of the Gymbo coupons, though I know I don't need anything and really shouldn't buy anything. But now that I have the coupon I'm not sure I can resist tomorrow morning.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING LADIES!!! :grouphug: I hope everyone has a nice day with their families! We've had a nice quiet day -just the five of us (it still sounds strange to say, "five"!) We are having some awesome weather - sunny and upper 50's, so we went to the park for awhile. Carson could sit in the swing - too cute! DH and I just went on a walk and dreamed about our possible move plans. We are SO full but the kitchen is clean finally so I am feeling great!

Have a wonderful day - good luck shopping tomorrow! I've never gone out before on Black Friday, and I'm not planning to tommorrow. I checked all of the flyers for the Polly Pocket Cruise Ship and the Playskool Playdome thing but didn't see them. I may go ahead and do my big Amazon order for Tim and Hayley and see if there are any deals there, but that's it.

Hi Mommies,

We just got back from the ER. Kona's fever would not come down from 104, even with medicine, so off we went. I'm glad I took her in. She needed an IV badly. They took blood, started an IV, took urine from her and she didn't even flinch. The poor thing.

Her blood came back fine and they think it's here ear.

Dh took over food duties and we all ate when we got back.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

I think the Gymboree sale starts at Midnight in case you don't want to wait. I'm sure stuff will sell fast.
